Overview

RAGNAR has been recently gifted to AMIKids and is offered through a three‑year lease with a purchase option at zero percent interest for qualified parties; please inquire for full details. A standout among luxury sailing yachts, this Hylas H70 is the showpiece of her class—a German Frers creation executed by the master craftsmen at Queen Long Marine exclusively for Hylas Yachts. Kept under the watch of a full‑time captain and a devoted owner, she was commissioned in April 2015 and has seen private use only, reflecting careful stewardship throughout her life.

Inside, RAGNAR reveals a refined four‑stateroom layout showcasing exquisite teak joinery, contemporary matched‑grain cabinetry, and a solid teak cabin sole. Every surface and detail has been curated to elevate life aboard, marrying bluewater practicality with yacht‑club elegance so owners and guests experience comfort, quiet, and effortless style whether cruising for a weekend or crossing oceans.

On deck, the teak is caulked in a light gray that stays cooler under the sun and feels superb underfoot, a thoughtful touch that complements the H70’s silhouette—sleek, modern, and enduringly classic. As a performance cruiser and true bluewater passagemaker, RAGNAR fuses robustness, a flawless finish, and advanced systems into a yacht prepared to roam the globe without compromise.

Docking and close‑quarters handling are made graceful by a SidePower bow thruster paired with a retractable stern thruster, while propulsion comes from the upgraded Yanmar 6BY third‑generation 260 hp turbo diesel—responsive, efficient, and reassuringly powerful. Electrical autonomy is exceptional: twin Polar Power 6 kW DC generators with Supra Digital Control (showing approximately 1,350 and 1,500 hours) work in concert with an approximately 2,000 Ah Victron lithium‑ion bank with integrated battery management, assisted by 2022/23 Solaris non‑skid solar panels. Four independent 24‑volt Termodinamica air‑conditioning units of 18,000 BTU each can run from DC power, minimizing the need for shore power or generator use. For self‑sufficiency on passage, two separate ECH2O 24‑volt DC watermakers deliver a combined 64 gallons per hour. Garmin navigation and communication suites are specified for unrestricted global voyaging, while QTLED 80 blue underwater lights bring a dramatic glow to evenings at anchor.

The galley is a chef’s domain designed for serious cruising: twin stainless front‑opening refrigerators, a very large top‑ and front‑access freezer, a pull‑out beverage chiller, an icemaker, a pull‑out dishwasher, a four‑burner stovetop with oven and broiler, and a convection microwave oven. A wine cooler in the main salon stands ready for celebratory toasts. Laundry needs are handled by a Splendide 2100 XC vented washer‑dryer combo, underscoring the yacht’s self‑contained, offshore‑ready ethos.

A 2024 OC350 carbon‑fiber tender with a high‑performance sailing rig and a 4‑stroke Tohatsu 20 hp electric‑start outboard rides securely on custom stainless davits by YRM of Fort Lauderdale; their automatic extending arms are engineered to clear the transom for easy launch and retrieval, with each arm rated for 500 pounds. A 2021 wardrobe of Quantum Fusion M carbon‑laminate sails completes the package, delivering crisp, efficient power across the wind range.

RAGNAR is the epitome of a semi‑custom, ocean‑going cruising yacht—an offshore sailing yacht that blends luxury, capability, and confidence. For those seeking a world‑class sailing yacht, performance cruiser, and bluewater explorer in one, she is prepared to carry you anywhere in effortless elegance.

Detailed Description

Interior accommodations & layout

RAGNAR unfolds in a four‑cabin arrangement that feels purpose‑built for bluewater comfort: a generous forward VIP stateroom, a forward port double guest cabin, a versatile aft starboard guest/crew cabin with over‑under bunks whose lower berth pulls out to a full‑size double, and an immense full‑beam master suite aft. The VIP, guest/crew, and master staterooms each enjoy an ensuite private head with separate stall shower, while the forward port guest cabin is served by its own dedicated head with a shared shower just across the passageway. Throughout, the yacht’s modern, contemporary sensibility is expressed in a curated mix of materials and bespoke detailing: tucked tan Ultraleather upholstered settees, custom holy and ebony hardwood compass rose inlays at both navigation‑station desktops and the salon and coffee tables, graceful discontinuous arched passageways, flat‑panel cabinetry, and teak joinery with matched horizontal grains brought to a hand‑rubbed satin sheen. Underfoot, a teak cabin sole anchors the aesthetic, and a full set of interior carpets—handmade in Nepal of 100% wool—adds durability, easy care, and quiet beauty. Manship stainless steel low‑profile deck hatches trimmed in teak and fitted with concealed OceanAir SkyScreen 2 screens and shades invite soft daylight and breeze, while Corian countertops with backsplashes elevate the galley and Corian tops refine the heads. The raised main salon windows and fixed portholes outboard of the settees frame panoramic seascapes, filling the interior with warm, natural light that makes the yacht feel like an oasis on the water. Aft and to port of the salon, the walk‑in galley is the envy of any seafaring chef, equipped with top‑of‑the‑line appliances and smart design touches expressly chosen to heighten comfort and pleasure.

Main salon

The main salon of RAGNAR feels expansive and luminous thanks to her 18 ft beam, sweeping raised salon windows, two enormous deck hatches, and twin seascape windows tucked behind the settees. To port, an L‑shaped settee embraces a custom high‑gloss teak table adorned with an intricate ebony and holy compass‑rose inlay, while two contemporary upholstered seats with backrests expand the setting so that eight guests can dine in comfort. Opposite to starboard, a full‑length settee pairs with a coffee table, and the lockers, cabinets, and bookshelves outboard and beneath both settees yield an impressive volume of thoughtfully organized storage.

Forward VIP stateroom

Guests settle into the forward VIP stateroom with its island centerline queen berth, generous storage, and ensuite access to the forward head and shower. Sunlight pours through a teak‑trimmed, screened deck hatch, heightening the sense of calm. Above and to either side of the berth are cabinets, cubbies, and fiddled shelves; four drawers reside at the foot. To starboard, a tall cabinet with three drawers and a fiddled shelf sits ready for wardrobe essentials, while to port a full‑height hanging locker and three drawers balance the arrangement. A flatscreen TV is mounted on the aft bulkhead.

VIP ensuite head & day head

Both the VIP’s ensuite head and the day head, accessed from the forward passageway, mirror each other in upscale specification: three mirrored medicine cabinets with fiddled teak shelves inside, countertops rimmed with solid teak fiddles, stainless steel sinks fitted with Moen fixtures, teak and stainless towel racks, and Raritan Atlantes freshwater electric‑flush toilets. They share a separate stall shower boasting a sizable linen closet outboard, a Moen shower fixture, integrated soap and shampoo dispenser, and a folding teak shower seat. Ventilation is excellent, with three opening portlights, a deck hatch, a dorade vent, and two three‑speed Bora fans, while high‑gloss Formica wall surfaces make cleaning effortless.

Forward guest stateroom

Forward to port, the double guest cabin offers a large Pullman‑style berth with integrated leeboard and easy access to the forward head just across the passageway. Three cabinets outboard, a large forward wardrobe hanging locker, two very large double‑door lockers beneath the berth, and a nightstand with fiddled shelving and drawers deliver abundant storage. This cabin is bright and airy with three opening portlights, a large screened deck hatch, and an overhead dorade vent. A flatscreen TV is mounted on the hanging‑locker bulkhead. Immediately adjacent is a dedicated head, perfect for private use or as a convenient day head while underway.

Aft guest/crew cabin

Conceived for crew yet ideal for visiting friends or grandchildren, the aft guest/crew cabin opens from the aft passageway and features over‑under single bunks with integrated leeboards. Beneath the lower bunk are two drawers and a cabinet, with a tall cedar‑lined cabinet forward. The underside of the upper bunk is finished to match the interior headliner for a refined, cohesive look. The lower bunk extends to the full width of the cabin, converting to a full‑size double. Each berth is served by an LED reading light and a three‑speed Bora fan, and two opening portlights sit above the upper bunk.

Aft head & ensuite

Aft to starboard, the head serves both the guest/crew cabin and the master stateroom. The specification includes three mirrored medicine cabinets with fiddled shelves, a countertop edged with solid teak fiddles, a stainless steel sink with Moen fixtures, a stainless‑and‑teak towel rack, and a Raritan Atlantes freshwater electric‑flush toilet. A separate stall shower features a folding teak seat and soap dispenser; within the shower, a cabinet houses a Splendide 2100 XC combination washer/dryer vented overboard for fast, efficient drying. Ventilation is assured by a three‑speed Bora fan and two opening portlights.

Master stateroom with private ensuite head

The Hylas H70’s generous beam carries well aft, yielding a master stateroom that befits a yacht of this caliber. An island‑style centerline king with integrated leeboards is flanked by fiddled nightstands, with bookcases outboard and cabinets below; four drawers sit at the foot. Overhead, two large opening deck hatches with teak trim and OceanAir screens with privacy shades bring superb airflow, joined by two opening portlights and two fixed seascape windows that admit sweeping views and abundant light. To starboard, a double settee in tucked tan Ultraleather is paired with a segmented shelf outboard and drawers below; to port, a bank of three wide drawers supports a large segmented shelf. Port and starboard double‑door wardrobe hanging lockers with a cabinet below frame the space. Forward, a fold‑top desk, a bank of narrow drawers, and a beautifully crafted teak seat on a pivoting stainless frame create a refined workstation; above, a Samsung TV is recessed into the forward bulkhead, and the desk provides a 11 0V, USB, and 12‑volt outlet. For many cruising couples aboard the Hylas H70, the “his and her” ensuite heads are a standout, granting each partner their own private space. To port, the owner’s head presents three mirrored medicine cabinets with teak fiddled shelves, countertops with solid teak fiddles, a stainless steel sink with Moen fixtures, a teak‑and‑stainless towel rack, two small teak toiletry shelves, and a Raritan Atlantes electric freshwater‑flush toilet. The large separate stall shower features a folding teak seat and an outboard linen closet, with two opening portlights and a three‑speed Bora fan for ventilation.

Galley

Purpose‑built for long‑distance voyaging, the walk‑in galley delivers sea‑kindly ergonomics and an exceptional appliance suite. Two high‑efficiency stainless steel front‑loading refrigerators by Frigoboat MS Series are paired with a cavernous freezer offering both top and front access with substantial insulation and double seals, all cooled by Frigomatic 24‑volt DC compressors with Guardian digital temperature monitors and automatic controls, with two compressors dedicated to the refrigerators and two to the freezer. A pull‑out Fisher & Paykel dishwasher, U‑Line icemaker, and GE Advantium 120 convection microwave oven streamline life aboard, while a Force‑10 four‑burner gimbaled propane cooker with oven, broiler, safety bar, and a countertop insert that stows to become a stainless steel backsplash handles gourmet duty; a cookery cabinet resides beneath the cooker. Corian countertops with solid teak fiddles and coordinating backsplashes blend durability with elegance. Ventilated cabinetry is sized to accommodate full‑size galleyware and cookware, supported by a total of eight drawers. Aft, two roll‑top lockers separate duties: starboard houses the coffee maker, while port serves as a deep dry‑goods pantry; a spice rack is mounted above the refrigerators. The custom Scandvik double‑basin stainless steel sink features a chrome pull‑out faucet, a dedicated tap for two‑stage Aquasana filtered drinking water, and a soap dispenser. For hot water, two independent heaters serve the yacht: a Quick&Hot instant hot‑water system and a 20‑gallon Isotherm water heater. Controls for the ECH2O Watermakers are neatly grouped in a dedicated cabinet.

Entertainment system

RAGNA is wired for pleasure with an entertainment network that spans the yacht: four zones of independent audio feed Fusion flush‑mounted speakers in the interior and cockpit, while Smart TVs grace the main salon and every cabin. The main salon centers on a 2024 55” Samsung Frame Smart TV, the master stateroom features a 2024 32” Samsung Frame Smart TV, the VIP cabin carries a Samsung 26" LED TV, and the forward guest stateroom a Samsung 20" LED TV. The Fusion stereo and entertainment backbone is networked throughout, enabling four independent zones, each driven by a dedicated Episode EA‑Mini digital amplifier and managed with an Episode stereo remote.

Navigation & communication

RAGNAR carries an extensive suite for confident passagemaking. Garmin GPSmap 8000 Glass Helm multifunction touchscreen displays are stationed at each helm and at the navigator’s desk, all integrated with Garmin high‑definition color radar, AIS transceiver, SiriusXM weather, Garmin GMI 20 displays, and a full complement of transducers. Mid‑ship to starboard, the navigation station is configured for full control and monitoring of ship’s systems and global communications, with a large L‑shaped desk: outboard‑facing for chartwork on full‑size Admiralty charts and forward‑facing as an office desk. Both desktops feature intricate ebony and holly compass‑rose inlays, folding tops, and internal stowage, including a dedicated recess for a printer. The tan‑leather‑trimmed navigator’s chair rides an adjustable stainless pedestal. Outboard, controls and monitors for RAGNAR’s systems and the navigation/communication electronics are mounted on a hinged panel for swift, uncomplicated service access. Hull construction

RAGNAR’s hull is crafted of solid, hand‑laid, Twaron carbon aramid fiber‑reinforced GRP employing Vinylester resins and an lsophthalic gel coat. Below the waterline, five layers of epoxy lnterprotect and three additional coats of bottom paint provide robust protection against osmosis. Structural integrity is further enhanced by two watertight bulkheads: a collision bulkhead forward and a watertight stern section across the aft lazarettes. The rudder carries a 60% partial skeg, and the bottom of the rudder plane is designed to sit above the keel’s lowest point for grounding protection.

Deck

The deck is laid up by hand with a ¾‑inch end‑grain balsa core, transitioning to solid fiberglass in high‑load areas where fittings impose compressive or tensile forces. The hull‑to‑deck joint is both chemically bonded with 3M 5200 and mechanically fastened with stainless through‑bolts. Forward, a robust 316 stainless steel stem fitting with striker plate and double bow roller—a signature Hylas hallmark—anchors the ground‑tackle system, while the forepeak hides a nearly 10 ft deep sail locker and a segmented chain locker ahead. At the transom, an additional stainless plate protects the stern. The bonded teak deck uses light‑colored caulking that looks modern and remains cooler underfoot than traditional seams; natural teak toe rails and handrails complement, while the foredeck and coachroof wear a Linen Beige molded non‑skid. Ventilation below is superb with seven Manship stainless steel low‑profile deck hatches, twenty opening portlights with screen inserts, and two dorade boxes with stainless cowlings. Safety is elevated by a stern rail that extends to midship and by stanchions with uncoated double lifelines, all over 33 inches high and 1 ½ inches in diameter with substantial backing, for offshore security and on‑deck confidence. Custom stainless davits with Dyneema lines offer a 500 lb lift capacity per arm. A stainless pulpit with two dolphin seats is custom‑shaped to accept the removable carbon‑fiber bowsprit and twin anchor receivers. A stainless pushpit with teak transom seats features solid rails extending to the midship boarding gates, and there are midship boarding gates to port and starboard with a removable stainless‑and‑teak ladder. Heavy‑duty stanchions and double uncoated lifelines surround the deck. A large swim platform presents teak steps, stainless handrails, a hot/cold shower, and LED courtesy lights. Heavy‑duty stainless mooring cleats number two at the stern, four at midship, and four at the bow. Dorade boxes with stainless cowlings and rails sit two on the foredeck. There are seven Manship low‑profile deck hatches with 316 stainless frames and smoked acrylic lenses, opening portlights with screen inserts totaling twenty, and four fixed portlights in the hull. Two stainless deck masts on the aft deck support the antenna array. Heavy‑duty pad‑eyes in the cockpit and on deck serve utility loads, jacklines, and harness hardpoints for offshore passages. Glendinning Cablemaster electric shore‑power cable spools and a Glendinning electric spool for the washdown hose both retrieve automatically, while deck courtesy lights set an elegant glow.

Anchoring & mooring

Ground tackle is robust and effortless to command, centered on a Lighthouse 151 O double‑gypsy hydraulic anchor windlass with bow and cockpit controls, supported by a capstan outboard of the port gypsy and a Harken twin‑pump hydraulic supply. The stainless steel stemhead fitting integrates dual bow rollers and a striker plate to protect the hull. The primary anchor is an oversized stainless Spade 200 Series paired with 270 ft of 7/16‑inch galvanized chain; the secondary is a stainless Spade 160 Series carried on 80 ft of 7/16‑inch galvanized chain and 200 ft of rode. A line snubber completes the system.

Helm stations & cockpit lounge

A defining luxury aboard RAGNAR is the expansive lounge‑style cockpit with walk‑through access from the aft deck. At its heart, a beautifully varnished cockpit table with dual leaves, built‑in ice chest, and soft cover hosts alfresco meals for up to twelve. Above, a full‑length fiberglass hardtop—uniquely designed for RAGNAR and constructed by YRM of Fort Lauderdale—creates a sanctuary adaptable to any weather: fully sheltered in foul conditions yet open, airy, and superbly ventilated when the breeze is kind. Sixteen flush‑mounted LED lights are integrated into the hardtop along with two opening sky‑views with Sunbrella shades for clear sightlines to the sails from both lounge and helms; solar panels mount on top. Forward, three acrylic windows in alloy frames shield the cockpit, with the outer panes subtly curved for protection and the center window on twin gas struts opening to admit a cool sea breeze. The cockpit architecture includes a walk‑through design with dual helms and lounge seating for twelve, a varnished double‑leaf table with built‑in ice chest, a retractable smoked Lexan washboard and main companionway hatch with contoured stairs and stainless handrails to ensure a safe, secure transition from inside to out, six coaming compartments with teak fiddles, a bonded teak cockpit sole and seating with light gray caulking, padeyes for harness hardpoints, Sunbrella helm and lounge cushions with backrests/bolsters, drink holders, 12‑volt DC outlets, and LED courtesy lighting. The port helm is equipped with a Garmin GPSMAP 8215 Glass Helm multifunction 15" touchscreen display, a Garmin GHC 20 autopilot control head, a Teleflex electronic throttle, an S‑Link variable‑speed bow and stern thruster joystick control, a cockpit control panel for exterior and navigation lights, the bilge system, engine‑room blower, and the Fireboy fire‑suppression system, a white Carbonautica GRP wheel with painted wood grain (an upgrade from stainless), and a Ritchie 5" backlit binnacle. The starboard helm mirrors the premium specification with a Garmin GPSMAP 8215 Glass Helm multifunction 15" touchscreen display, a Garmin GHC 20 autopilot control head, Yanmar electronic engine control and start panel, a Teleflex electronic throttle, an S‑Link variable‑speed bow and stern thruster joystick control by SidePower, a Garmin VHF wireless microphone port, a Harken hydraulic control panel, a white Carbonautica GRP wheel with painted wood grain, and a Ritchie 5" backlit binnacle.

Mast & rigging

The spar and rig package is engineered for strength, control, and ease: a keel‑stepped Selden triple‑spreader aluminum mast with hydraulic in‑mast furling pairs to a Selden boom featuring a custom built‑in preventor with cockpit controls for effortless deployment and retrieval. Headsails roll on Selden Furlex hydraulic furlers for both genoa and staysail. A split backstay integrates an SSB insulator and a Harken hydraulic tensioner with cockpit controls, while a Harken hydraulic boom vang manages mainsail shape. Navtec rod standing rigging in cold‑drawn Nitronic‑50 stainless delivers superior strength and corrosion resistance. Spare genoa and main halyards stand ready, supplemented by running backstays, a Lewmar mainsheet traveler, and custom GMT carbon‑fiber removable bowsprit and spinnaker/downwind poles.

Winches & sail control

Despite her size, RAGNAR was specified to be sailed comfortably, safely, and confidently by a minimal crew—easily by a couple—thanks to a comprehensive power‑assisted deck plan. Primary trimming is handled by Antal W80.3 three‑speed electric self‑tailing primaries, with Antal W66 two‑speed electric self‑tailing secondaries and Antal W66 two‑speed electric self‑tailing mainsheet and outhaul winches. Antal W44 two‑speed self‑tailing travelers and Antal W52 two‑speed self‑tailing halyard winches on the mast round out the arsenal. Spinlock line clutches secure the preventer and spare halyard, while Spinlock line jammers handle two additional spare halyards. Antal mast tracks for the mainsail, genoa, and staysail enable precise halyard trim and tensioning while reducing line clutter on deck, complemented by a Selden external mast track for storm sail with Selden bat cars, a GMT Composite downwind pole, Antal cheek blocks and genoa tracks, and a suite of Harken blocks.

Sails

In 2021, the yacht received Quantum sails in carbon tape laminate, comprising the in‑mast furling mainsail, RF genoa, and staysail.

Engine & mechanical systems

Propulsion and ship’s systems are engineered for range, redundancy, and quiet efficiency. The Yanmar 6BY3 260 HP turbo‑diesel drives through a Tides Marine high‑speed 3000 dripless shaft seal, Yanmar Teleflex electronic throttles and engine controls, an isolation coupler, and a MaxProp Whisper five‑blade feathering propeller. Electrical generation is provided by two Polar Power 6 kW generators integrated and fully automated within the yacht’s lithium‑ion electrical architecture. Low‑speed precision comes from a variable‑thrust Sidepower 24 VDC PPC800 bow thruster and an SRVP 250 TC retractable stern thruster with S‑Link controls at the helms. Freshwater independence is ensured by two ECH2O 24‑volt DC watermakers with a combined capacity of 64 gallons per hour and autorun/self‑maintaining cycles, with control panels in the galley. Climate is managed by three Marvair Marine SMD14ACR three‑zone 24‑volt DC cooling air‑conditioners and one Termodinamerica TD24V reverse‑cycle air‑conditioning system with custom digital controls for a total of 56,000 BTU; notably, the system can run solely from the lithium‑ion battery bank, entirely independent of the generators. A 24‑volt air compressor services water toys and inflatables. Steering is via a Mamba solid‑linkage system. Fuel hygiene is assured by dual Racer 75/S00FGX Max Series main‑engine fuel filters with a bypass for fuel polishing, plus Racer S00FG Turbine Series generator fuel filters. Engine and generator water‑contamination alarms, electric oil‑change pumps, and two engine‑room blowers simplify service, while an extensive inventory of spare parts, filters, and service items rides aboard.

Plumbing & tankage

Tankage is generous and intelligently managed. Fuel capacity totals 71 0 gallons across four tanks, while fresh water totals 360 gallons in four tanks. Blackwater totals 66 gallons with a 44 gallon fiberglass tank serving the forward heads and a second 22‑gallon tank serving the aft heads, each equipped with Dometic Sealand macerators, discharge controls, tank monitors, and Whale Gulper 320 waste pumps. Greywater is managed by four Whale polypropylene tanks dedicated to galley appliances, sinks, and heads, all with Whale Gulper 320 automatic pumps: the forward greywater tank is plumbed to both forward head sink, shower, and floor drains as well as the forward and salon air‑conditioning condensers; the mid‑ship greywater tank is plumbed to the galley sink and dishwasher, with a second greywater tank plumbed to the refrigerator and freezer drains; the aft greywater tank is plumbed to both aft head sink, shower, and floor drains as well as the master stateroom air‑conditioning condenser. All tanks reside under the main‑salon sole with quick‑access inspection ports for cleaning and maintenance. A Sensotex electronic fuel and water monitoring system displays at the nav station. Domestic water runs through an Aquasana two‑stage filtered drinking‑water system and a pressurized hot/cold loop powered by two ShurFlo Aqua King II freshwater pumps. Hot water is delivered by a 20 gallon Isotherm 11 0VAC heater, also plumbed to both the main‑engine and generator 1 heat exchanger for hot water under either generator or main‑engine power, supplemented by a Quick&Hot on‑demand hot‑water system. A Glendinning Hosemaster retractable washdown hose serves fresh‑ and saltwater washdowns with independent Jabsco FLO 5.0 pressure pumps. Bilge management includes a Rule 3700 primary and Jabsco Gusher 320 secondary bilge pump with Rule‑A‑Matic Plus automatic float switches and high‑water alarms, plus an independent lazarette pump with alarm, and two Whale Gusher 10 manual bilge pumps. Additional specifications include Groco sea strainers, and two 20 lb propane tanks with regulator and a second line plumbed to the deck BBQ grill. A hot/cold transom shower completes the suite.

Electrical system

Aft of the navigator’s station, a custom backlit electrical distribution panel showcases exceptional organization and meticulous labeling—about as close to perfection as it gets. The yacht is configured for 12/24‑volt DC and 120/240‑volt AC US electrical power. A transformer allows acceptance of a wide range of voltages, while the Outback chargers can be set to 60 Hz or 50 Hz, enabling lnnisfree to utilize virtually any shore‑power connection worldwide. Two separate direct‑current battery banks—House Service Forward and House Service Aft—each provide 24‑volt capacity of 700 amp‑hours. Two 24‑volt DC Polar Power 6 kW generators deliver fully adjustable charge outputs up to 240 amps at 24 volts (equivalent to 480 amps at 12 volts). Solar panels mounted on the hardtop feed regulators and monitors at the navigation station. Three Maxwell Technologies 500‑farad supercapacitors serve the Yanmar and both Polar Power DC generators, each with a dedicated 24‑volt DC/12‑volt DC converter and digitally monitored heatsink, eliminating the need for starting batteries; a 12‑volt DC engine‑starting battery remains aboard as backup. Four Outback FXR Series 24‑volt DC, 55‑amp combination inverter/chargers with a Mate3 display provide advanced monitoring and control of the Outback system. Four Victron Energy Orion‑TR isolated 20‑amp 24‑volt DC/12‑volt DC converters support ship’s loads. Two Furrion F50‑ATS 50‑amp automatic transfer switches sense AC source and connect as required to the charging system. An integrated Battery Management System with Polar Power control panels at the navigation station and a PC interface oversees the whole. Shore power lands via a 50 amp 240 VAC inlet and cable on Glendinning Cablemaster electric retracting spools. Two 3" copper grounding strips run the length of both sides of the hull. Interior illumination is by lmtra Ventura high‑efficiency LED lighting with PowerLED dimmer controls, complemented by accent floor lighting and LED courtesy lights throughout. External lighting includes deck lights, mast uplights, spreader lights, deck courtesy lighting, navigation and masthead tricolor lights, while UL Ti Mate 80 blue underwater LEDs grace the transom. Comfort is enhanced by three‑speed 12 VDC Bora fans in living quarters, main salon, galley, and heads, and additional 12 VDC and 11 0VAC outlets are distributed throughout the yacht.

Safety equipment

Safety at sea is comprehensive and current. A Winslow eight‑man life raft is stowed beneath the port helm seat, ready for rapid deployment. A ditch bag with a 406 MHz EPIRB stands by, while a Fireboy automatic fire‑suppression system protects the engine compartment, paired with Fireboy Xintex SA‑2 marine fume detection and smoke detectors. An offshore first‑aid kit, Jon Buoy MOB recovery module, sea anchor with floating line, flare kit, life vests, safety harnesses, and jacklines all ride aboard. A Yanmar emergency engine stop switch is fitted for decisive shutdowns.
