Overview

The owner asked me to put into words what this boat means to me.

I adore this yacht. Truly, madly. There’s nothing like easing up to a dock, hand on the Yacht Controller, gliding perfectly sideways with bow and stern thrusters, stainless rails gleaming along the side, while people on the pier whisper, “Who’s at the helm?” The twin American-built Caterpillar 3406 diesels deliver effortless thrust to this Canadian-crafted 56-foot luxury motor yacht, and every push of the throttles feels like confidence.

Family and friends stretch out on the two newly updated sun pads while I keep watch from the full-length, climate-controlled, fully enclosed flybridge at the upper helm. My 92-year-old mother walked up the molded staircase to the bridge with ease—right alongside our 50-pound dog. He sheds, and that’s okay: the salon’s beautiful wood floors make cleanup a breeze. He curls up on the newly reupholstered salon sofas, eyes on the 42-inch flat-screen beside the wine cooler. We even removed the traditional door-style galley refrigerator and upgraded to a far more practical dual-drawer unit. And our dog, Teddy, is crazy about the inflatable dinghy—especially when the hydraulic swim platform lifts and lowers to launch. Ducks, consider yourselves warned.

My crew wanted a shore house. I proposed a three-stateroom, two-head flybridge yacht—on the water, not merely near it. She became our Jersey Shore residence and our winter home in Florida, and we cherished every minute aboard. Then came a Florida penthouse too good to pass up, followed by a Jersey shore house with a five-foot-deep, 50-foot dock on a shallow bay. With a 39-inch draft and tight space between neighbors, our Neptunus simply doesn’t fit there. So, my beloved “big girl” needs a new steward, and I swapped to a 25-foot Scarab at the house dock.

We invested heavily to bring our 2005 lady to an exceptional standard. The 2,000-hour service was just completed. She’s freshly waxed, the engine room and vessel detailed. Systems upgraded and serviced: air conditioning, heat, radios, downward- and forward-looking Garmin sonars, GPS, radar, satellite system, stereo, three new flat-screen TVs, refrigerator, wine cooler, horns, compressor, spare props, turbos, resealed windows, new windlass, tools, spares, filters—the list goes on. She’s turnkey, dialed-in, and ready to cruise.

She’s already run five trips between the Northeast and Florida—effortless. With the sale, you’ll also inherit the contact list for my trusted service pros, including the top Neptunus technician in the U.S. and direct connections to the factory team who know this boat intimately.

There’s price, and there’s value. We’re asking $579,000, and the experience rivals new builds north of $2 million. The difference funds years of fuel, dockage, and adventures. It’s a rare opportunity. She deserves a devoted new home—if you won’t pamper her, this isn’t your yacht.

An East Marine tender with a Tohatsu 20 hp outboard is included.

Among flybridge yachts in this size range, this 56' Neptunus stands apart. The layout is exceptionally livable: three generously sized staterooms, two well-appointed heads, and flexible dining at both the lower helm and on the flybridge. Inside, the ambiance is refined—high-gloss cherry joinery, creamy UltraLeather panels, and rich silk textiles—creating a serene, upscale retreat. Multiple lounging zones invite conversation and quiet moments alike, while cedar-lined lockers offer abundant storage for longer stays aboard.

Neptunus’ hallmark design integrates the main deck, lower accommodations, and flybridge for easy flow and outstanding functionality. The result is a sophisticated, owner-operator friendly platform that’s equally comfortable as a liveaboard yacht and a performance cruising yacht.

Yacht highlights and category cues: luxury motor yacht, flybridge yacht, liveaboard-ready, bluewater-capable coastal cruiser, diesel inboard power, planing hull efficiency, Yacht Controller with bow and stern thrusters for precision docking, climate-controlled enclosed flybridge, hydraulic swim platform for tender launch, and an upgraded galley ideal for extended cruising.

She’s poised for your next passage—elegant, powerful, and joyfully easy to run.

Detailed Description

Description

The owner asked for words that match how he feels about his yacht, and it’s easy to see why. I truly enjoy arriving at a marina standing midship by the full-length stainless rails, Yacht Controller in hand, sliding neatly into a slip sideways with the bow and stern thrusters while onlookers ask, “Who’s driving?” The twin American-built Caterpillar 3406 diesels move this Canadian-built 56' luxury flybridge motor yacht with quiet strength, and every maneuver feels precise and calm.

Family and friends stretch out on the two newly refreshed sunpads while I keep watch from the air-conditioned, fully enclosed, full-length flybridge at the upper helm. My ninety-two-year-old mother walked up the molded staircase to the bridge without effort, right beside our fifty-pound dog. He sheds, and the salon’s wood floors make cleanup simple. He lounges on the newly redone salon sofas, eyes on the 42" flat-screen next to the wine cooler. In the galley we replaced the traditional door-style refrigerator with a far more practical dual-drawer unit. Teddy also loves the inflatable dinghy, especially when the hydraulic swim platform lifts and lowers to launch him into the water—ducks, consider yourselves warned.

My family wanted a shore house, so I suggested a three-stateroom, two-head flybridge yacht—not near the beach but on the water. She became our Jersey Shore home and our Florida winter place, and we loved every season aboard. Then a Florida penthouse appeared at a price we couldn’t refuse, followed by a Jersey Shore house with a five-foot-deep, fifty-foot dock on a very shallow bay. With a 39" draft and tight space between neighbors, this Neptunus won’t fit there, so our “baby” needs a new home, and we replaced her at the dock with a 25' Scarab dual console.

We invested heavily to bring this 2005 yacht to our standard. The two-thousand-hour service is freshly completed. She’s waxed, detailed, and the engine room is spotless. Systems have been serviced or upgraded: air conditioning and heat, radios, Garmin forward- and down-looking sonars, GPS, radar, satellite system, stereo, three new flat TVs, refrigerator, wine cooler, horns, compressor, spare props, turbos, resealed windows, a new windlass, tools, spares, filters—the lot. She is truly turnkey, ready for effortless, sunny cruising.

She has already made five passages to and from Florida—easy work. With the sale you’ll receive my trusted service contacts, including the top Neptunus specialist in the U.S., plus direct connections to the factory team who know this boat intimately.

There’s price, and there’s value. The asking price is $579,000, and the experience rivals new builds above $2 million. The difference covers years of fuel, dockage, and travel. If you’re looking for a cared-for, owner-operator friendly flybridge yacht, this is a wonderful opportunity—she deserves a new owner who will treat her well.

An East Marine tender with a Tohatsu 20 hp outboard is included.

Among fifty-six-foot flybridge yachts, the 56' Neptunus Flybridge Model stands out as a luxury motor yacht and liveaboard-ready coastal cruiser. The layout offers three well-proportioned staterooms, two heads, and versatile dining at the lower helm and on the flybridge. Inside, high-gloss cherry joinery, creamy UltraLeather, and soft silk textiles create a calm, upscale atmosphere, with multiple quiet lounging areas and generous cedar-lined closets. Neptunus’ hallmark space planning integrates the main deck, lower accommodations, and flybridge for easy flow and practical functionality, delivering a planing-hull, diesel-inboard platform that inspires confidence and makes every day on the water feel like home.
