Overview
INDIGO has enjoyed exemplary stewardship throughout her life, with a comprehensive refresh completed in 2012 and thoughtful enhancements continued annually through 2017. During that period she is said to have successfully completed two Great Loop passages. The present owner, an accomplished yachtsman, acquired this handsome cruising motor yacht in the summer of 2021 and immediately set about further improvements, then relocated INDIGO to the Florida Keys that autumn. From spring 2023 through fall 2025 she underwent a full professional exterior repaint accompanied by extensive additional upgrades. The engine room presents clean and well-kept, the interior welcomes with a warm, comfortable ambiance, and the freshly painted topsides and new canvas leave INDIGO appearing virtually like new, a truly inviting luxury yacht for refined coastal and long-range cruising.
Detailed Description
Accommodations
Down a forward stairway to the starboard side of the pilothouse, the interior opens to two staterooms and two heads designed for comfort and privacy. Amidships, the master stateroom features a walk-around queen berth to the port side with a padded headboard, built-in nightstands to either side, and wall-mounted reading lights. Above to port, two opening rectangular portholes usher in natural light, complemented by drapes for preferred privacy. Forward in the suite, a two-door hanging locker is joined by eight large drawers and a high counter shelf that hosts a decorative lamp and a wall-mounted flat panel Samsung TV. To starboard, discreetly positioned behind the open cabin door, a cabinet houses a Splendide combo washer/dryer. Overhead dome lighting fixtures are controlled by a dimmer switch, while bound-edge carpeting softens the elegant teak and holly sole.
Just aft of the washer/dryer to starboard, the private master head is appointed with a Freshwater VacuFlush head and a full-length Hi-Macs solid-surface black granite vanity top with an undermounted oval porcelain sink and mirrored medicine cabinet. The shower is a compact bathtub with a handheld shower wand. The head is air-conditioned, with the option of ventilation and daylight through two opening rectangular portholes.
The forward stateroom presents a centerline queen berth flanked by upper cove cabinets and illuminated by reading lights above the headboard. A small TV sits to port, with countertop shelves on both sides for convenient stowage. Two rectangular opening portlights dressed with small drapes, together with an overhead hatch fitted with a screen panel, provide abundant natural light. Aft to starboard, a hanging locker enhances storage. Both staterooms are finished with teak and holly soles fitted with bound-edge carpeting, and the woodwork throughout is warm and beautifully executed.
Just aft of the forward guest stateroom, with a door across from the stairway, the guest head also serves as a day head. Matching the fine finishes of the master head, it includes a separate shower stall for added versatility.
Factory supplied description
The Offshore 48 Pilothouse possesses a solid hand-laminated fiberglass hull with an epoxy barrier coat; its form carries a generous beam, a finely V-ed entry, and a deep forefoot that gradually tapers to a 12-degree deadrise at the transom. This geometry produces a hull that rises onto plane with ease and slices cleanly through waves and chop across the speed range. The standard exterior includes two-tone, molded non-skid decks, along with window frames, doors, and hatches fabricated in gel-coated fiberglass so they will not corrode like aluminum or rot like wood. In the cockpit, a freshwater shower is housed within a molded FRP cabinet, and the boat deck provides internal drainage to the waterline, keeping the lower decks free of runoff. Below deck, the 48 Pilothouse features quality hand-rubbed, satin-finish Burmese teak cabinetry and a teak-and-holly sole throughout. The salon, staterooms, heads, and galley are crafted with the level of detail that Offshore has been known for since 1948.
Salon
Entering from the cockpit, the salon welcomes with an L-shaped lounge to port and a smaller settee to starboard, both upholstered in Ultraleather with matching valance panels, gathered around a high-gloss teak drop-leaf Hi-Lo table. Overhead pin lights with teak trim rings bathe the space in adjustable ambiance via dimmer control, as with most of the lighting throughout the boat. Expansive deckhouse windows slide open for fresh air; outside, snap-on Textilene mesh privacy covers provide shade and privacy, while inside, Oceanair roll-up blinds offer effortless light control. In the aft starboard corner, a Samsung 32" flat panel Smart TV (2025) rises on an electric lift from behind custom louvered doors, while the port aft corner hosts a built-in end table cabinet. Forward to starboard, a countertop with a decorative table lamp anchors the space opposite the Galley to port. Entertainment is driven by a Fusion MS-UD750 stereo with Bluetooth, complemented by a Fusion NRX-300 remote control head (2023) conveniently positioned by the starboard forward countertop. The door to the aft deck is a smooth-gliding slider fitted with a roll-down insect screen, and underfoot, a classic Teak and Holly sole is softened by a carpet runner and area rugs.
Galley
The galley is equipped with a Sub Zero under-counter refrigerator and VitriFrigo under-counter drawers in the starboard cabinet that can function as either refrigerator or freezer, all set beneath Hi-Macs solid-surface countertops in a black granite finish. Culinary duties are handled by a Force10 glass electric three-burner stovetop paired with a Cuisinart convection/microwave oven. A two-basin stainless steel sink with a newer faucet fixture is complemented by an in-sink garbage disposal and a dedicated filtered water tap, and the space is supplied with a complete set of galley cookware.
Storage is abundant with overhead aft cabinetry, four slide-outs beneath the countertop, a pantry across to starboard, and a cabinet on the portside of the steps leading up to the pilothouse, supplemented by drawers throughout. An LED lighting strip tucked beneath the forward cabinetry illuminates the work surfaces, while a six-bottle bar cabinet with a slide-out drawer by the pilothouse keeps favorite vintages close at hand.
Master stateroom and head
The master stateroom presents a walk-around queen berth with a custom mattress flanked by nightstands, accompanied by hanging lockers and ample drawer storage. Solid surface countertops and a Samsung 19" flat panel TV elevate the space, while dimmable overhead lighting and dedicated reading lights let you tailor the ambiance to the moment. For added convenience on extended voyages, a Splendide 2000 combo washer/dryer is seamlessly integrated. The ensuite head continues the theme of refined practicality, featuring a freshwater VacuFlush toilet, a shower stall with a mini-tub, and a Hi-Macs solid surface black granite vanity top with an oval undermount sink, all complemented by a mirrored sundries cabinet.
Guest stateroom, forward
The forward guest stateroom centers on a generous centerline queen berth appointed with an Ultrasuede headboard, complemented by solid surface countertops that elevate the finish. Entertainment is at hand with a ViewSonic 15-inch flat-panel TV, while a dedicated hanging locker and ample drawer storage keep belongings neatly organized.
Guest head
Thoughtfully appointed for both comfort and practicality, the guest head showcases a Hi-Macs solid surface Black Granite vanity top with an oval undermounted sink, paired with convenient drawer storage within the sink vanity and a mirrored sundries cabinet for tidy organization. An updated VacuFlush freshwater head delivers efficient, reliable performance, while the shower stall is equipped with a handheld shower wand for versatile, spa-like convenience.
Pilothouse
Commanding from a center helm with a captain’s chair and slide-opening wing doors to either side, the pilothouse blends classic craftsmanship with modern capability. A six-spoke teak helm wheel sets the tone, while above the helm three brass Weems & Plath instruments—a barometer, temperature, and clock—add a timeless touch. Aft, a raised Ultraleather settee pairs with a high-gloss teak table, and overhead opening hatches above both the settee and the helm seat, with screen, invite fresh air and natural light. To starboard, steps with a teak railing lead up to the flybridge, and roll-up insect screen doors on both pilothouse sides enhance versatility. The captain’s chair was reupholstered in white vinyl in 2023.
Navigation and electronics are comprehensive: two Garmin 5212 touchscreen GPS/Chartplotter multi-function displays, a Garmin D22 Black Box depth sounder with 50/200 dual frequency transducer, and a Garmin open array radar scanner new in 2025 are complemented by a Simrad autopilot with AP28 control head, a Garmin GSH10 VHF radio with external speaker and volume control, and a Garmin AIS 600 transceiver. Garmin closed-circuit cameras monitor the aft deck and engine room, while a Ritchie PowerDamp magnetic compass, VDO gauges and tachometers including a rudder angle indicator, and three electric windshield wipers ensure confident passage-making. Entertainment is supported by a satellite TV KVH M5 antenna plus a second dome with three Direct TV receivers (not in use), and stereo speakers with a volume control knob provide clear audio underway.
Practical control and safety features include a Side-Power DC bow thruster with handheld remote control, a Maxwell windlass control remote, an intercom phone with handsets in the engine room and forward stateroom, and a high water bilge alarm, rounding out a pilothouse designed for assured command and enduring comfort.

Description
New to the market, INDIGO is a sterling example of Offshore Yachts’ attractively arranged 48-foot Pilothouse model. The salon and galley share a single level, with an aft door opening to the covered afterdeck and out to the walk-around side decks. Forward from the salon, three steps lead to the pilothouse with wing doors to either side and a raised lounge settee with table aft. To the starboard side aft, a stairway rises to the flybridge, while the stateroom level is reached by a curved stairway to starboard of the centerline helm. Below, two double staterooms with heads offer great storage and an efficient use of space.
INDIGO has enjoyed excellent ownership throughout her life, receiving a thorough updating in 2012 and onward yearly into 2017, and was reported to have completed two Great Loop excursions during that period. The current owner, an experienced yachtsman, acquired this attractive vessel in the summer of 2021 and began further updating, relocating INDIGO to the Florida Keys that fall. From spring of 2023 through fall of 2025, she received a complete exterior paint job that was expertly executed and included extensive updating. The engine room is clean and well maintained, the interior is warm and comfortable, and the exterior, with new paint and canvas, has INDIGO looking like new.
Flybridge
At the forward helm console, two Pompanette fiberglass P2000 captain’s chairs with fiberglass backs and cushioned armrests face a thoughtfully arranged command station featuring a Garmin 8616 GPS/Chartplotter touchscreen, new in 2025, a Simrad autopilot AP44 control head, also new in 2025, a Garmin GHS10 VHF/Hailer with remote speaker, Side-Power bow thruster control, a PowerDamp magnetic compass, and trim tab toggle control with synchronizer switch. Protection and clarity underway come from a tinted Plexi venturi windscreen framed in polished stainless steel. A fiberglass radar arch supports a white powder-coated aluminum framework that extends forward beneath a freshly laced Stamoid top, while the track-to-track, three-sided enclosure is edged in blue canvas with side U-zips and forward EZ2CY panels, new in 2021.
Just abaft to port, an inviting L-shaped settee with storage beneath the seats wraps around a table set on a new aluminum base with a white starboard top; an overlay panel enlarges the tabletop for comfortable dining. Classy blue-and-white striped cushions and crisp white painted surroundings and tabletop present beautifully. To starboard, a cabinet houses a Norcold DC drink refrigerator and a sink, with additional storage thoughtfully built in. Immediately aft of the settee, chocks secure the RIB tender beside an electric davit, and on the aft edge of the bridge a newer emergency canister liferaft stands ready. Access is effortless via steps up from the pilothouse, with an aft ladder leading down to the aft deck. Navy Sunbrella canvas covers, new 2024–2025, protect the helm, tender, foredeck hatch, and cockpit, and a second set of Stamoid covers is provided for storage periods.
Hull
INDIGO has benefited from a high-quality, complete paint program executed over two seasons while stored in Islamorada, Florida. During 2023–2024, the deckhouse was finished in Cloud White; all windows were removed and re-bedded, every seam was re-caulked and sealed, and all portholes and hatches were replaced. The deckhouse brow received a non-skid finish to reduce glare and enhance safety. In 2025, the hull was repainted Flag Blue from the waterline to the rub rail, and the stainless-steel strike plate on the railing was replaced with a new solid piece. Previously, in 2020, the bottom was stripped and barrier coated, complemented by a white boot stripe with a red pin accent stripe and black bottom paint. Enhancements include multi-color-changing underwater lights installed new in 2025, robust four-blade primary propellers, and a three-blade set of spare propellers reconditioned by Wildcat and stowed in the lazarette.
Deck equipment
Forward, an anchor-ready bow pulpit with dual rollers is paired with a freshwater washdown spigot discreetly housed in an adjoining hatch, serving a mounted plow anchor with approximately 300 feet of chain and a mounted Danforth Fortress FX37 backed by 25 feet of lead chain and 250 feet of nylon rode, all managed with confidence by a Maxwell 2200 electric windlass with wildcat. Fenders and dock lines are smartly organized in four dedicated fender storage racks along the bow railing and two more on the flybridge, while a foredeck bench seat with cushion (2024) invites effortless relaxation. Secure movement is assured by stainless steel welded bow and side deck railings and matching welded railings on the flybridge, complemented by wide side decks with raised bulwarks that lead via two steps from the deckhouse sides to the pilothouse and bow level. Port and starboard boarding gates simplify dockside access, a freshwater washdown spigot in the cockpit (2023) streamlines cleanups, and the beautifully varnished teak cap railing in the cockpit is protected by blue Sunbrella covers (2024), all finished with a stainless steel flag staff aft.
For added protection and presence, Textilene deckhouse snap-on window covers (2025) and a forward windshield canvas mask (2024) shield the glass, while Kahlenberg dual trumpet air horns announce your arrival with authority. Launch and recovery are made easy by a Marquipt electric davit upgraded with a new motor and cable (2025), together with dinghy chocks and straps securing the 2013 AB/Mares 10.5' center console RIB tender, which is equipped with a Garmin GPS/plotter/depth unit, a new helm seat backrest, and a 20 hp Tohatsu four-stroke outboard. A custom hinged stainless steel anchor light mount enhances practicality at the mast, and safety is further elevated by a Datum emergency container liferaft in a quick launch cradle (2024).
Cockpit
The cockpit is finished with elegant teak decking and fitted with hatches that open to the lazarette and the aft engine room door, while a walkthrough transom door streamlines movement to and from the water. Command comes naturally from the starboard-side cockpit helm with engine controls and wheel, and refreshment is always on hand from the centerline cabinet housing a VitriFrigo ice maker (2025). A hot-and-cold cockpit shower wand set within a fiberglass box adds convenience after a swim, complemented by docking lights (2024) and LED cockpit lights that extend usability from dusk to night. A fiberglass swim platform paired with a stainless swimming ladder delivers effortless water access, and two fishing rod holders alongside a Magma stainless steel propane grill prepare the scene for both sport and leisure. Atmosphere and awareness are enhanced by stereo speakers and a Garmin backing camera, while a combination stainless hawse pipe and cleat at the transom simplifies line handling. For added peace of mind, a stainless steel emergency tiller stands ready when needed.
Electrical
Power on board is anchored by a Northern Lights 12 kW generator in a sound shield with approximately 4,200 hours, feeding a robust 240 V AC ship’s system with a pilothouse breaker panel and switching, complemented by a parallel 12 V DC ship’s system with its own pilothouse breaker panel and battery monitoring. Shore power is 50-amp with connections port and starboard forward, augmented by an additional 50-amp inlet in the cockpit, and a 50-foot shore power electrical cord (2022) streamlines dockside service. Energy management is handled by a Magnum Energy charger/inverter with a pilothouse display and a ProNautic 12-60P Smart battery charger (2024). The battery suite comprises AGM house batteries, AGM main engine start batteries with shutoff switches and a parallel switch, and a separate generator start battery. Blue Sea 7610 120V isolators minimize voltage drop across the system, while alternator battery charging from the port motor ensures dependable replenishment underway.
Engine room
The machinery space is anchored by Cummins CTA 8.3 Diamond Series 450 diesels turning through ZF transmissions with 2.55:1 reduction, managed by Hynautic engine controls with Glendinning mechanical synchronization and complemented by Hynautic wheel steering. Fuel is polished by Racor primary filters with vacuum gauges serving the mains and generator, and reliability is furthered by Tides dripless shaft logs. The compartment is finished with a teak and holly engine room center sole and is kept under watch by an engine room camera. Safety and serviceability are paramount, with a Fireboy engine room suppression system, an emergency bilge pumping system augmented by three automatic/manual bilge pumps, gray water sump boxes, and a high-water bilge alarm. Mechanical care is up to date, including an exhaust system updated in 2022, cooler service in 2023, and sea water pumps serviced in 2026, all aided by custom engine room ventilation and blowers.
On the comfort and domestic side, climate control is delivered by four Dometic/Marine Air reverse-cycle air-conditioning units, all newer units, while hot water comes from a Torrid heater with an engine heat exchanger connection. Freshwater pressure is provided by a Jabsco Flo-Jet system with an accumulator tank, and the head system runs to a holding tank with a TankWatch III monitor system and deck pump-out; the whole boat’s head hoses have been updated. For extended autonomy, a Spectra 200T watermaker—reported new in 2015 but pickled and unused since 2022—includes a remote panel in the pilothouse.
