Detailed Description

2016 Pursuit OS 385 Offshore Snot Easy

The 2016 Pursuit OS 385 Offshore “Snot Easy” arrives comprehensively equipped, beginning with a hull, deck and cockpit engineered for confident offshore runs and gracious days at anchor. An infused fiberglass windshield with tempered safety glass integrates a forward, electrically actuated ventilating center window, while port, starboard and center pantographic windshield wipers work with a fresh-water washer system to keep your view crystal clear. Underfoot, custom non-skid on the deck, cockpit surfaces and gunwale boards pairs with a self‑draining cockpit and scupper drains, and security comes courtesy of a one‑piece welded 316L stainless steel forward grab rail plus port and starboard 18-inch stainless steel transom grabrails. The high-density PVC rubrail carries a stainless steel insert, and beneath it all, a reinforced, infused FRP one‑piece stringer grid manages bilge water with quiet strength. At the bow, a molded‑in fiberglass pulpit with 316L stainless steel bow roller supports a 10-inch mooring cleat, skid plate and chain binder, served by an anchor windlass with a helm switch and a remote switch at the anchor locker, complete with overboard drain and both fresh and raw water washdowns. Daylight and airflow pour in through two 17-inch by 17-inch forward hatches with adjusters and framed slide screens and through four stainless steel portlights with screens, while an acrylic transom door with 316L stainless steel hardware ties the whole cockpit together. Convenience is everywhere: six 10‑inch mooring cleats, full‑cockpit breathable coaming bolsters with dry‑fast foam, a poly footrest with a nonskid pattern, a dockside fresh‑water inlet, a hot‑and‑cold cockpit freshwater shower, and seven drink holders. The helm is anchored by a supportive seat with fold‑up armrests and a flip‑up bolster, and the portside bridge‑deck offers an inviting L‑shaped lounge with a padded backrest and a tackle/storage cabinet set into its aft side. The starboard side features a 64‑quart refrigerator/freezer with a digitally controlled thermostat and overboard drain, complemented by a custom molded cockpit entertainment center with a fiberglass sink, a folding hot/cold faucet, and a cutting board with storage below, plus a 240 V cockpit grill under a fiberglass cover. Overhead, the hardtop elevates every moment with spreader lights, six LED courtesy lights, four frame‑mounted rod holders, four recessed speakers, two acrylic hatches and canvas storage pouches for PFDs, alongside interior and exterior hardtop handrails and two forward‑facing aft fold‑down seats. Entry below is through an acrylic sliding companionway door with lock/keeper and sliding screen. Rounding out the cockpit climate and comfort is 240 V cockpit A/C with reverse‑cycle heat delivering 16,000 BTU.

Inside, the cabin blends warm craftsmanship with durable marine materials. A solid Khaya floor and a fiberglass interior headliner set a refined tone, while the convertible V‑berth lounge provides lounging by day and sleeping by night, with a drawer and storage beneath. Stow personal attire in the starboard‑side cedar‑lined hanging locker, and set the mood via a three‑switch panel that controls eight overhead LED lights and four accent lights, enhanced by dinette base accent lighting and V‑berth step lighting. Entertainment is immersive thanks to a Polk stereo with Bluetooth streaming, six JL Audio speakers, a subwoofer and JL Audio amplifier, and a 32‑inch flat‑screen TV with DVD player, backed by a TV antenna plus dedicated TV inlet and cabin outlets. Power access is assured with a GFI‑protected 110 V outlet. The Khaya table rides a powered adjustable pedestal, serving a forward dinette seating area that converts to the V‑berth with storage underneath. Guests retreat to a comfortable mid‑berth with one adjustable reading light and a companion settee. Domestic hot water is on tap from an 11‑gallon, 220 V stainless‑steel water heater.

The galley is equally seagoing and stylish, crowned by a Corian galley top with overhead storage cabinets and drawers beneath the sink area. A fiberglass sink with a hot/cold mixing‑valve faucet stands ready beside a covered trash storage bin with a removable container. Cooking is effortless on a Kenyon two‑burner glass cooktop and a 110 V microwave, while a 7.5 cu. ft. refrigerator/freezer keeps provisions at perfect temperature. Thoughtful stowage abounds, including galley storage cabinets and a dedicated cabinet for plates, cups and utensils, and another GFI‑protected 110 V outlet.

The private head is upscale and practical: a Vacu‑Flush head feeds an 18‑gallon holding tank, and a fiberglass head/shower module includes a sump pump and a molded‑in fiberglass shower seat behind an acrylic shower door with a stainless‑steel stanchion. A designer sink with a pressurized hot/cold faucet sits on a Corian vanity top with a vanity mirror and storage underneath, complemented by an 18‑inch towel bar, a framed head door with a full‑length mirror and a GFI‑protected 110 V outlet.

Every serious angler will appreciate the fishing pedigree. Four stainless steel rod holders line the gunwale, and the transom boasts a 300‑quart insulated fiberglass refrigerator/freezer fishbox with a digitally controlled thermostat and overboard drain, paired with a lighted Oceana blue 50‑gallon circulating livewell with a bottom drain plug. In‑deck capacity is matched by two in‑deck insulated fish boxes—port and starboard—each 68 gallons with a pump and overboard discharge. The aft gunwale on both port and starboard sides is prepped with aluminum reinforcement plates and wiring for downrigger installation, while a raw‑water outlet with a speed‑tap hose and sprayer stands ready for cleanup. Inside, three cabin rod holders supplement six enclosed, lockable gunwale storage compartments, and the deck is reinforced to accept a fighting chair.

Command and safety systems are equally comprehensive. At the heart is a Pursuit custom master circuit‑breaker switch panel for 12 V and 110 V, complemented by a Pursuit custom master 12 V and 110 V interior MDP switch panel, Yamaha Command Link Plus instruments, and a deluxe Ritchie compass. Steering is authoritative via Teleflex power‑assisted dual‑cylinder hydraulic steering with a tilt sport helm and a 16‑inch Edson comfort‑grip stainless‑steel steering wheel. The vessel connects shoreside through 50‑amp 240 V/60 Hz dockside power with a 25' cord and adapter, while onboard generation comes from a Panda 8.0 kW diesel generator fed by a 25‑gallon diesel fuel tank. Battery management is robust, featuring one 20‑amp battery charger for engine starting batteries, one 40‑amp battery charger for house, electronics and bow‑thruster batteries, and a seven‑battery system with batteries, trays and switches. Manoeuvring is enhanced by a 5.4 hp bow thruster, and climate control below is assured with 240 V A/C with reverse‑cycle heat rated at 16,000 BTU. Electrical integrity is protected by a 12 kVA isolation transformer. On the utilities front, fresh‑water capacity is 65 gallons, while total fuel tanks carry 370 gallons. There are four 12 V receptacles—two at the helm and two in the cabin—plus three fire extinguishers, seven LED cockpit courtesy lights, a twin forward‑facing horn, and three bilge pumps (two 1500 and one 1100 forward). Underway trim is dialed in by recessed Lenco electronic trim tabs with an indicator, visibility is assured by a 316L stainless‑steel telescoping boarding ladder under a fiberglass hatch, and vigilance is heightened by cabin and mid‑berth carbon‑monoxide detectors and a high‑water alarm with an audible indicator. The build meets or exceeds ABYC, USCG, CE and Transport Canada standards—because offshore confidence begins with uncompromising details.
