Detailed Description
Main description
Skip the new-build wait and step straight aboard the 2022 Pursuit S378—a sleek, innovative, and impressively spacious member of the Pursuit family of fishing boats. With the soul of a sport boat and the profile of a refined cabin cruiser, the S378 is a remarkably versatile platform equally at home fishing offshore, day cruising with friends and family, or slipping away for an overnight on the water. Inside and out, she offers an abundance of living space designed for gather-round entertaining: a generous cockpit with forward and aft bench seating, electrically actuated forward-facing backrests to port and starboard, and a forward fiberglass table set the stage for effortless hosting. Directly behind the helm seat console, a patented cockpit entertainment center glides into place at the touch of a button and conceals a sink, electric grill, top-loading refrigerator/freezer, cutting board, and a GFI-protected outlet beneath a fold-down fiberglass lid. Step below into the air-conditioned cabin and you’re greeted by a bright, roomy interior framed by Vista View windows that channel natural light from sunrise to sunset; take a break at the dinette with built-in bench seating and a high-low table that creates the ideal lounge by day, then converts to a comfortable double berth by night. Triple Yamaha XTO 425 hp engines deliver exhilarating performance with a maximum speed of 52 knots and a smooth, confident cruising speed of 35 knots, while 16,000 BTU helm air conditioning, elegant hull side windows, and a luxuriously appointed cabin set apart from the helm elevate every moment under way. Key highlights include the patented, push-button entertainment center, a push-button cockpit shade, and the commanding presence of those triple Yamaha XTO 425 hp outboards. Listing includes manufacturer images; photos forthcoming.
Hull
Beneath her refined lines lies a hull engineered for strength, silence, and serviceability, all backed by the Pursuit Protection Plan that includes a 5-year hull and deck structural warranty, a 5-year blister-free warranty, and a 2-year limited warranty. Finished in Neptune Grey with Navy trim, the S378 employs a five-ply, resin-infused composite transom system with a patented transom reinforcement grid, complemented by an infused fiberglass structural grid system with a molded finish, integrated bilge water management, and foam-filled structure for rigidity and quiet ride. Below the waterline, bronze thru-hull fittings and a bronze garboard drain with T-handle handle the elements, while chrome-over-bronze thru-hulls reside below the 7-degree heel line and stainless-clad composite thru-hulls above it. Precision control comes via Lenco electric trim tabs with auto-retract, and security by a 5/8" 316L stainless steel bow eye. Integrated transom platform extensions outboard of the engines and a telescoping 4-step boarding ladder mounted in the hull platform simplify water access, while molded, frameless tempered glass windows along the hull sides add light and style. An integrally molded thru-stem anchor system with dedicated transducer location underscores fish-ready intent. For safety and redundancy, the forward hull compartment features one 900 GPH bilge pump with automatic float switch and there are two 1500 GPH bilge pumps with electric switches aft, all complemented by a 3.0 HP (2.2 kW) bow thruster with Group 31 AGM battery, switch, and fuse.
Deck
Every touchpoint on deck speaks to intelligent construction and effortless use: the hull-to-deck joint is mechanically fastened and reinforced with aluminum backing plates at the cleats, while a high-density PVC rub rail with a solid 316L stainless steel insert and a 316L stainless steel transom cap stand guard against scuffs. A molded one-piece deck and cockpit liner carries a secure non-skid pattern with overboard drains. At the bow, a flush-mounted integral anchor locker with fiberglass lid houses a vertical windlass with helm switch and a remote in the locker, a 316L stainless through-stem anchor roller, an 8" mooring cleat, chain binder, a 35 lb stainless steel plow-style anchor, a self-righting swivel, 320' of rode (5/8" eight-plait including 20' of G4 chain), fresh and raw water quick-connect fittings, and an LED courtesy light. Six 10" pop-up 316 stainless steel cleats—two at the stern, two amidships, and two at the bow—secure the boat, while molded recessed hatches with gaskets, 316L stainless latches, and overboard drain tracks keep gear dry. A molded transom walkthrough with hinged transom door, 316L stainless latch, and magnetic catch handles traffic, as does the single-level splashwell deck with non-skid for athwartship access. Additional refinements include port and starboard 316L stainless bow, mid-ship, and transom grab rails, a 316L stainless shore power inlet, and bright, efficient LED navigation lights rated for two miles.
Cockpit
The cockpit is a sanctuary of versatility and comfort: molded forward bow seating hides insulated storage beneath, while electric-actuating, hinged forward-facing backrests to port and starboard preserve a clear passage forward, complemented by a removable jumpseat. A forward fiberglass table with removable base stows neatly in its dedicated locker, and a bow sunpad chaise for two with tilt-up leg rest, armrests, and drink holders invites lingering in the sun; just ahead, forward-facing seating for two extends the conversation. Premium custom upholstery with Dri-Fast foam and mesh backing stands up to the elements, while the Pursuit JL Audio custom-tuned entertainment system fills the space with rich sound from a JL Media Master 12V Bluetooth-compatible stereo, eight premium JL Audio speakers (six in the exterior), two subwoofers, two amplifiers, a bow remote, and an external antenna. A molded, electrically sliding aft entertainment center trimmed with Corian accents hosts a molded sink with hot/cold mixing faucet, electric cockpit grill, a 1.3 cu ft top-load refrigerator/freezer beneath hinged fiberglass lids, a cutting board, three entertainment-dedicated storage drawers, and a 120V outlet with GFI protection. Seating abounds with an aft-facing molded cockpit seat with armrests and dedicated storage below and a folding transom seat featuring a patent-pending flipping backrest. The triple helm seat arrangement provides dedicated folding armrests and footrests for each, while the center seat adds fore, aft, and vertical adjustments. Thoughtful storage lives within the helm seat box, including a slide-out trash can to port, DC panel and battery switch access to starboard, and dedicated stowage for the cockpit table and pedestal aft. Machinery access is easy via bridge and cockpit access hatches. Six extra-large 316L stainless steel drink holders, a fresh water cockpit shower with hot/cold mixing valve and pull-out sprayer, raw and fresh water outlets with quick-connect fittings and a 25' hose, and full, breathable coaming bolsters with Dri-Fast foam elevate everyday ease. A starboard inward-opening side boarding door with a removable, stowable ladder makes water play simple. At night, seven LED cockpit courtesy lights—two at the bridge deck, three at the bow seating and walkways, and two at the cockpit steps—join six blue mid-level LED accent lights to set the mood. Safety and protection come from a cockpit fire extinguisher under the gunwale, a dockside fresh water inlet with pressure regulator, and tailored Stamoid Light covers for the bow seats, the chaise in front of the console, and the entertainment center with its seat.
Fish features
Serious angling capability comes standard, beginning with ten stainless steel rod holders distributed intelligently—four in the gunwales, two in the transom, and four forward at the bow. Live bait stays lively in a lighted Oceana Blue 36-gallon recirculating insulated livewell with a fiberglass lid and an acrylic viewing window, while rods tuck neatly away in under-gunwale storage—three to port and two to starboard—and under-hardtop storage with two racks to port and two to starboard. Two insulated 41-gallon fish boxes with diaphragm pumps discharge overboard to port and starboard, and lockable rod storage in the cabin keeps prized tackle secure. A cockpit tackle center swallows four Plano trays, and aluminum reinforcement plates with pre-run wiring at the aft gunwales to port and starboard simplify clean installation of downriggers.
Hardtop & windshield
A molded fiberglass full-beam hardtop with visor crowns the S378, complete with dedicated locations for radar, antennas, and outriggers, powder-coated structural supports, and robust 316L stainless steel grab rails to port and starboard. Forward, a custom windshield system with tempered side glass and 316L stainless grab rails provides protection and sightlines, aided by a windscreen wiper with fresh water washer. Illumination is abundant, with six tri-color overhead LED lights, indirect lighting over the dash, two aft-facing spreader lights, and one forward-facing spreader light, while four integrated stereo speakers enrich the soundstage. Practical touches include an area for overhead displays, a 24 x 24 hardtop access/ventilation hatch, a custom stainless steel ratcheting anchor/stern light with burgee rings and a USA flag, and a commanding trumpet horn.
Helm
Command is effortless from the molded fiberglass aft-tilting helm with instrumentation visor, expansive electronics mounting surface, a fold-out fiberglass footrest/platform, and a safety lanyard. At your fingertips sit a 12V panel with illuminated Carling rocker switches, a 316L stainless steel steering wheel with control knob and non-slip grip atop Yamaha electric steering with programmable steering friction, and a top-load glovebox to starboard housing a USB wireless phone charger. Pursuit’s custom triple captain’s seats feature folding armrests, three sculpted flip-up bolsters with lumbar support, one medium bolster on a ramping actuator, and two small stationary bolsters. Precision maneuvers are managed with a bow thruster joystick, trim tab control panel with indicator, and a single windshield wiper with washer control, while navigation is centered by a compass. Convenience details include a port fold-down footrest, JL Audio Media Master full-function display, two 316L stainless helm drink holders, a 12V outlet and a dual USB charger, plus a helm fire extinguisher. Protection is provided by a Sunbrella® helm instrument cover and a Sunbrella® helm/companion seat cover.
Electronics
The helm is equipped with a comprehensive Garmin package built around dual GPSMAP 8616 displays (one XSV), an Airmar B175M 20-degree 1 kW CHIRP transducer, a NMEA 2000 starter kit, a Pursuit custom dash panel, a Yamaha gateway with cable, a VHF antenna, and pre-rigging for a VHF radio (VHF radio currently not available).
Cabin
Enter through a molded acrylic access door complete with a secondary framed screen door and a 316L stainless steel locking latch into a tranquil retreat lined with full fiberglass cabin and hull liners, both with sound damping insulation. Cabin entry steps with a custom handrail and wood treads lead down to custom solid-wood tongue-and-groove floor accents with hidden mechanical access and drainage, rich veneers on the interior cabinetry, and a solid-wood interior table on a fixed leg. Climate is assured by a 240V/60 cycle 6,000 BTU air-conditioning system with reverse-cycle heat. Entertainment and convenience include a 19" LED TV, a forward berth with 4" foam cushions and filler, port and starboard forward outboard storage, and Vista View console side windows to port and starboard that align sightlines through the hull side windows. Power is on hand via one 12V outlet and one dual USB charger. A companionway two-switch panel governs two accent floor lights, two overhead LEDs at the companionway, four additional overhead LEDs, and an overhead LED at the berth. Rounding out the amenities are a 120V microwave oven, a CO monitor, a fire extinguisher, and an AC distribution panel.
Head (starboard side)
The private fiberglass head compartment with a non-skid sole features a Corian® countertop with integrated sink, a hot/cold faucet, and a storage cabinet below, anchored by a vacuum flush elongated marine head served by a 22-gallon holding tank, macerator discharge pump, a 316L stainless steel deck pump-out fitting, and a bronze thru-hull with seacock. Daily rituals are made easy with a fiberglass toilet seat cover, an upper vanity mirror, a toilet tissue holder, a towel rack, and a shower with a hot/cold mixing valve and wand that drains to a shower sump box with automatic discharge pump. A tempered glass window brings in daylight, while a two-switch panel manages one overhead LED light and one LED floor accent light. Rounding out functionality are one 120V GFI-protected outlet, a head door gear hook, and a shower curtain with a storage cover.
Electrical
The S378’s electrical architecture is robust and meticulously executed, featuring UL-rated, fully tinned, color-coded copper wiring; custom-built, heat-sealed, mechanically crimped, color-coded battery cables; and an in-house-built wiring harness with waterproof connectors and chafe protection. A powder-coated aluminum, screen-printed (front and back) battery switch and breaker panel centralizes control, while the bonding system ties together thru-hull fittings below the waterline, trim tabs, the zinc anode, and the garboard drain. Power storage is handled by a six-battery system: one for the port engine, one for the center engine, one for the starboard engine, one for electronics (AGM), one for the bow thruster (AGM), and one for house loads (AGM). Shore power arrives via a single 240V 50 Amp 60 cycle dockside connection and a 240V 50 Amp 50' dockside power cord feeding a wireless remote/switch-operated electric cord retract reel. Interior distribution is managed by a Pursuit custom 12V and 120V MDP switch panel dedicated to cabin circuits. Convenience power includes three 120V GFI-protected outlets, four 12V outlets, and four dual USB chargers. Charging is overseen by one 40 Amp charger for the house, electronics, and bow thruster batteries and one 20 Amp charger for the engine batteries, with a dedicated grounding bus bar ensuring proper returns.
Mechanical space
Aft, the mechanical space is finished in molded interior white gel coat and accessed through a gasketed molded hatch supported by a stainless steel gas spring, revealing a molded bilge sump area and an aft mechanical space access step. For redundancy and safety, there is one 1500 GPH bilge pump with an electronic switch and one 1500 GPH pump with a high-water electronic switch and alarm, both discharging through stainless-clad composite thru-hull fittings. Systems include a raw water pump with a bronze sea strainer, seacock, and thru-hull fitting; a livewell cyclone pump with a bronze sea strainer; dedicated diaphragm evacuation pumps for the fish boxes; and 316L stainless steel battery service slide systems to port and starboard. Forward, a low-profile 900 GPH bilge pump with an integrated float switch and stainless-clad composite thru-hull fitting stands watch, alongside a fresh water pressure-sensing pump with filter.
Fuel system
Range and reliability are assured by an EPA-compliant, lined 427-gallon rotomolded fuel tank with dedicated engine pickups, shutoff valves, a digital level indicator, and deck fuel fill plates, all fed by custom-built premium fuel feed lines with mechanically crimped fittings. Filtration is robust with three Yamaha® water-separating fuel filters with primer bulbs.
Water system
Onboard fresh water is delivered from a 45-gallon tank with a level indicator and a 316L stainless steel deck fill plate through a premium Sea Tech color-coded hose system with mechanically crimped ends, energized by a pressure-sensing/variable-speed pump and distributed via a fresh water manifold with dedicated valves. Shoreside convenience comes via a dockside fresh water inlet with a pressure regulator. Hot water is provided by a 6-gallon stainless steel 240V/60 cycle water heater, and cockpit rinses are made easy with a hot/cold mixing-valve shower.
Generator
Independent onboard power is delivered by a 240V/60 cycle 8.0 kW Fischer Panda® diesel generator with a sound shield and a service slide, fed by an EPA-compliant, lined 24-gallon rotomolded fuel tank with an engine pickup, shutoff valves, a digital level indicator, a water-separating fuel filter, and a 316L stainless steel deck fill plate. A fire suppression system adds peace of mind.
