Machinery

The yacht is powered by two robust CAT 3512B main engines, each delivering an impressive 2250 horsepower (1680 kW). As of May 30, 2024, the starboard engine has clocked 5,471 hours since its rebuild, while the port engine has accumulated 2,961 hours. Together, these engines have a total of 11,812 hours, including the rebuilt hours. The power is transmitted through ZF BW755 transmissions, ensuring smooth and efficient operation. Engine controls are managed by Prime Mover controls MPCD, available at four stations, providing precise handling and maneuverability.

The yacht's propulsion system is further enhanced by 5-inch Aquamet 22HS stainless steel shafts, equipped with Tides Marine seals, which were reconditioned and balanced in July 2023. The Osborne 5-blade bronze propellers, measuring 52 inches by 59 inches, were also reconditioned and balanced in the same period, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.

Upgrades

In 2025, the vessel saw extensive maintenance and enhancements, including the replacement of old and rusted hydraulic hoses for the generator, costing $6,380.20, and a comprehensive 6000-hour service for the main engine at $101,752.77. The shipyard period updates included bottom paint and Propspeed application on the propellers and bow thruster, totaling $86,011.02. Additionally, a thorough cleaning of the greywater, blackwater, and MSD systems was performed for $5,538, and the bow anchor winch underwent a complete hydraulic system overhaul for $7,400. The steering system received new hydraulic hoses, cylinders, and an over-center valve, costing $16,400, while power synchronization issues were corrected for $7,860.

In 2024, the HVAC system underwent a complete overhaul, including descaling chillers, servicing air handlers, replacing ducting, and addressing mold issues, at a cost of $55,173.23. The generator was overhauled with extensive component replacements and system upgrades for $47,222.04, and the main engine battery was replaced for $10,920. Other notable upgrades included the replacement of PTO hoses, a rebuild of the port anchor winch, and repairs to the garage seals. The sundeck davits and starboard generator injector were also serviced, and new sofas, coffee tables, and dining room chairs were added to the salon. The galley received new True freezer and refrigerator drawers, and exhaust leaks were repaired. New auxiliary cooling pumps for the main engines and AC seawater pumps were installed, and all fire equipment was recertified.

In 2023, the yacht received new carpeting throughout, and the salon and bridge deck electric sliding doors were rebuilt. The bright work was re-varnished, and a new transfer system was installed. The bottom paint was refreshed, and the port transmission was rebuilt. Main engine heat enhancers and after coolers were cleaned, stabilizers were serviced, and both shafts were straightened and resurfaced. New cutless bearings and reconditioned props were added, and the engine alignment was adjusted. A new 8-step gangway and chilled water pumps were installed, and the entire interior was recaulked.

The upgrades in 2022 included the addition of four new jet skis, a rebuilt ceiling in the control room, and the reconstruction of all crew showers. The engineer's cabin, head, and shower were rebuilt, and both water makers were completely overhauled. A new headliner was installed throughout the vessel, and a new TV and audio system were added. The yacht was also treated with a ceramic-coated wax.

In 2021, a new cathodic protection system was installed, along with new main engine and generator exhausts. All tanks were professionally cleaned, and all raw water systems were serviced. The air system was flushed, and new air compressors with auto drains and DC backup were installed. The lazarette was rebuilt, and a new Atlas inverter was ordered. New engine room intake fans and dampers were added, and the starboard main engine was overhauled at 6341 hours.

The 2020 upgrades included a rebuild of the port main engine at 8951 hours, new water maker membranes, a new chiller plant and control system, and new raw water pumps. A new generator power system was installed, and the bottom job and prop speed were completed. The master carpet was replaced, and new engine fuel heat exchangers, water pumps, and fuel coolers were added. A new satellite dish (V11) was installed, and the engine, transmission, and generator services were updated. The engine room fire system and panel were replaced, and all air handlers, except for the sky lounge, were replaced.

In 2019, a new exhaust clean system, water maker system, and custom beach club were added. New motor mounts were installed, and the shafts were serviced, with props balanced and cutlass bearings replaced.

The 2018 upgrades included a rebuilt hardtop, major service on the starboard transmission, new teak decking on the sundeck, and rebuilt electrical panels. Shafts were serviced, and props were balanced to s-class. A new water maker system was installed, and annual maintenance and surveys were carried out at Rybovich, Florida. Three new 10-ton chillers and 43 new air handlers were installed, along with a new circulation line for air conditioning. Two new 99 kW Northern Lights generators were added, and most of the yacht was rewired with new breaker panels. The teak deck on the sun deck was replaced, and the hydraulic systems were revamped with new PTOs. The engine room was repainted, and a wrap was added to the walls and ceiling panels. New hydraulics were added to the large forward Bosun's hatch, and new shaft seals were installed. All exterior cushions were re-covered, and new spa controls were added.

In 2015, annual maintenance and surveys were conducted at Rybovich, Florida, including a haul-out, bottom paint, prop speed, and zincs. Stabilizers were removed, and new seals were fitted, with rams rebuilt in June. Thruster seals were changed, and rudders were removed, bearings checked, seals replaced, and rams rebuilt. All seawater inlet and overboard discharge valves were replaced, and fuel and water tanks were opened and cleaned. The sewage treatment system was overhauled, and electrical mega tests were completed on generators and pumps. A 5-year hi-fog factory service was completed.

The extensive refit in 2014 in Ft. Lauderdale included a complete repaint from mast to waterline, reconfiguration of the sundeck with a new bar area, larger table, and elimination of the helm station. All old Corian countertops were replaced with new granite tops, and all exterior lighting was upgraded to LED. The interior was completely redecorated with new fabrics, upholstery, wall coverings, and furnishings. New bedding and towels were added, along with new ceilings and carpets in all areas. All stone countertops were replaced with new marble in guest areas, and the main salon bar area was modified. A hardwood floor was installed in the sky lounge, and all interior lighting was upgraded to the latest generation LEDs. Extensive carpentry modifications and installations were carried out.

The entertainment system was completely overhauled with new TVs and a Crestron/iPad control system. The satellite TV systems were upgraded, and a 100-inch open-air movie projector system was installed on the sundeck. Electronics upgrades included extensive rewiring and rearrangement of bridge equipment and the Nema network, installation of new radar and depth sounder, a new Wi-Fi network throughout the yacht, and a new network control system. All radio and cell antennas were replaced.

In engineering, the main engines underwent a top-end overhaul, and the transmissions were fully overhauled. Service work was performed on generators, and engine realignment was completed. The watermakers were overhauled, and new engine room and lazarette floor plates were installed. Extensive engine room painting and detailing were carried out.
