Updates

Recent Updates: 2023 saw a purposeful refresh focused on reliability and convenience, including 6 new AGM batteries, all new bilge pumps with float switches, all new sump pumps, all new head kits and pump kits, a new freshwater pump, full service on the engines and the genset, a new voltage regulator in the genset, and new bushings in the swim platform. Further upgrades include the exterior of the vessel compounded and waxed; in winter 2022 one A/C compressor and both toilet pumps were replaced; in August 2021 both thruster batteries were replaced; in July 2021 all windshield caulk was renewed; in June 2021 bow cushions were replaced and a fresh water flush was installed on both mains and the genset so the motors are flushed after every run, with coolers and heat exchangers removed and cleaned; in May 2021 an ElectroSea Clearline was added for A/C raw water ($10,000) and the back water discharge pump was replaced; in April 2021 all fluids and filters were changed, including air seps, Racor, and impellers, the two-thousand-hour service was performed ahead of schedule with valve adjustments, the underwater lights were replaced with 6 LED underwater lights ($6000), both cutlass bearings were replaced, both props were tuned and polished, the bottom received fresh paint and PropSpeed, and the hull sides were polished and ceramic coated; in February 2021 ceramic tint was applied to the upper salon windows; in January 2021 the upper salon TV, the upper salon Bose system, and the lower salon Bose system were all replaced; in December 2020 the genset heat exchanger was replaced, the upper salon couch leather was recovered, all electronics were renewed with 2 Axiom plus 12" and 2x 7", the radar was replaced with a Magnum open array, and the cockpit and bilge cameras were replaced; in October 2020 the windlass was replaced, a complete coolant flush was performed on both mains, the VIP stateroom air handler was replaced, the windshield cover was replaced, and the clothes dryer was replaced; in 2019 all A/C compressors were replaced and all air handlers were replaced except the VIP stateroom.

Carbon monoxide monitors and a fire suppression system add safety, while a digital systems monitor keeps vital data in view. Practicalities include an emergency engine start system, engine synchronizer, bow thruster, generator soundbox, macerator with seacock interlock system, a central vacuum system, and a washer/dryer to simplify life aboard.

Engine room

A meticulously kept machinery space houses twin MAN 1100 engines with engines and gen just serviced, supported by an Onan 21.5 kW generator in a sound enclosure.
