Detailed Description
$80K in upgrades 2017-2019
Between 2017 and 2019, this Predator benefited from a comprehensive program of enhancements totaling $80K, elevating both her finish and her mechanical pedigree. Throughout the interior, the soles were newly carpeted (2018) and the salon received new granite countertops (2018), complemented by a crisp new white steering wheel at the helm (2019). Below the waterline and topsides, she was refreshed with new bottom paint (2018) and professionally painted hull sides (2018), while all helm and cockpit upholstery was renewed (2017). Mechanically, care was equally thorough: the MAN one-thousand-hour service was completed, engines were repainted, engine turbochargers were serviced, generators were serviced, and new raw-water pumps were installed. Practical refinements abound, including a new hydraulic pump and motor for the swim platform (2019), a new Glendenning cable-master system with a new shore power cord, and replacement of the fresh-water pump and hot-water heater. Attention to detail extends throughout the deck and interior with all wood in the cockpit replaced, stainless door latches and stainless cup holders renewed, vent covers replaced, and new shower heads fitted. Comfort systems received equal focus with all air-conditioner AC-volt pumps replaced, and new seals installed on the SeaLand Vacu-Flush heads along with a fully serviced waste system. At the helm, navigation and entertainment were upgraded with a new Garmin GPS map/plotter, a new forty-inch LCD TV serving the helm/cockpit, new helm/cockpit speakers by Pioneer and JL Audio, and new LED lighting at the helm and in the cockpit. Aesthetic touches include a new custom transom name board with LED lighting, a replaced aft cockpit enclosure, and a refinished anchor.
Cabin
This lovely 56 Sunseeker Predator 2000 presents a two-stateroom, two-head layout crafted for effortless cruising and privacy. The cabin ambiance is rich and contemporary, with high-gloss cherry veneer gracing the cabinetry and trim, white vinyl headliners with recessed lighting brightening every space, and crisp VDC LED illumination thoughtfully integrated throughout the cabins for efficient, reliable light at sea.
Audio & visual equipment
Entertainment is immersive and beautifully integrated: a Samsung 40" LCD TV in the salon pairs with a Bose Lifestyle AM/FM/CD/DVD system and dedicated Bose speakers for rich, cinematic sound. Private spaces are equally well-appointed with a Samsung 32" LCD TV in the master and a Samsung 24" LCD TV in the guest. At the helm, low-end punch is delivered by a Cerwin Vega sub-woofer, while the helm/cockpit area boasts a new Insignia 40" LCD TV and a new Pioneer NEX series stereo with JL Audio speakers, ensuring vibrant, open-air soundtracks under way or at anchor.
Appliances - galley/aft deck
The galley is designed for serious cruising with a stainless-steel sink and elegant granite countertops, a Sub Zero refrigerator and freezer in a stacked configuration, a Kenyon two-burner stove, and a Whirlpool microwave. Entertaining flows seamlessly to the aft deck, where a molded FRP wet bar incorporates a sink, cooktop, freezer, refrigerator, Raritan icemaker, and generous storage. Long-stay convenience is further enhanced by a Malber combination washer/dryer.
Electronics
The helm is comprehensively equipped with a VHF set new in 2018 and a Furuno radar, complemented by a Garmin GPS/map plotter also new in 2018. Precision data comes via VDO speedlog/depth instruments and a dedicated VDO depth sounder, with a Ritchie compass for instant heading confirmation. Essential control and safety features include a 12 VDC horn, Bennett trim tabs, a VDO rudder angle indicator, and an Ocean Technologies spotlight for confident night operations.
Deck and hull
On deck, practicality meets style with non-skid decks finished in white gelcoat and a teak sole in the cockpit. The helm features a double-wide seat with an additional seat to port, protected by a helm cover, a Bimini top and enclosure, plus a canvas top with full enclosure and stainless Bimini supports forward and aft of the radar arch. Guests enjoy a U-shaped settee aft, and the aft deck seating slides out to convert into a generous sun pad/lounge, all trimmed in white vinyl. A cockpit table invites alfresco dining, while the hydraulic swim platform—benefiting from a new motor in 2019—pairs with a transom shower for effortless days on the water. Forward, a bow sun pad with cover awaits. Ground tackle is handled by a Simpson Lawrence VDC two-way windlass with controls at both the bow and helm. After-dark ambiance and visibility are superb thanks to six LED underwater lights, four at the transom and one each to port and starboard, blue LED radar-arch lights, and LED helm and cockpit deck lights. Notable refinements include a hull painted in 2017, helm/cockpit upholstery recently replaced (2018), helm/cockpit teak sole recently cleaned and serviced (2018), anchor refinished (2018), aft cockpit enclosure replaced (2018), a new custom transom name board with LED lighting (2018), new LED lights below the waterline (2018), a new hydraulic pump for the swim platform installed (2018), and a new Glendinning Cable-Master with a new shore power cord installed (2018).
Machinery
Mechanical systems inspire confidence with major service completed in 2018: a one-thousand-hour service on the MAN engines, new raw-water pumps on the engines, serviced engine turbochargers, and comprehensive service on the main engines and generators including oil changes, coolant systems serviced, and all fuel filters serviced. Block heaters were installed on the main engines in 2018, and the tachometers/hour meters on the main engines were replaced the same year. Fresh-water pump and hot-water heater were replaced in 2018, with new bilge pumps and hoses added in July 2019. Controls are ZF with auto sync, paired to ZF Transmission Model IRM350V-LD. Shore power is handled by a 50 A/220v, 50' power cord on a cablemaster. Ship’s power is supported by an 11 Kw Kohler Gen Model 1100FOZ with a sound shield. Sanitary systems include Sea Land Vacu-Flush with new seals installed in 2018 and a waste system sanitation service performed in 2018. Domestic hot water is via a Kuuma hot-water heater. Climate control is robust with four Marine Air self-contained air conditioners delivering a total of 69,000 BTU, all fitted with digital controls; AC-volt pumps were replaced in 2018.
