Overview
Presenting the emblematic 144’ (43.89m) Trinity BAD COMPANY, a pedigreed sportfisher and luxury cruising superyacht that artfully fuses indulgence, performance, and true long-range autonomy.
Originally crafted by Trinity Yachts and later professionally lengthened to 144’, BAD COMPANY benefited from a sweeping refit highlighted by 2016 MTU 12V4000 mains, 2021 Northern Lights generators, upgraded stabilization, and a host of mechanical enhancements. She settles into a confident 23-knot cruise and surges to 26 knots at the top end, making her a compelling choice for owners who value both adventure and speed.
A consummate bluewater motor yacht, she has roamed the Pacific and Atlantic, ventured through the Mediterranean and Red Sea, and completed multiple canal transits. Serving as a mothership for elite sportfishing campaigns, she has battled and released countless billfish straight from her own cockpit. In recent seasons, her itinerary has taken a refined turn, gliding between the Bahamas and Caribbean while spending time in South Florida.
Conceived for entertaining and extended passagemaking, she welcomes up to 10 guests in 5 sumptuous staterooms, crowned by a full-beam owner’s suite. Generous indoor-outdoor living unfolds across a chic skylounge, broad aft deck, flybridge with Jacuzzi, and a tournament-caliber sportfishing cockpit—hallmarks of a standout sportfish-style motor yacht.
BAD COMPANY represents a rare opportunity to own one of Trinity’s most recognizable sportfishing superyachts, uniting luxury, legendary angling prowess, and authentic ocean-going capability in a single, exceptional package. Her condition reflects meticulous, ongoing care and diligent maintenance.

Detailed Description
About Bad Company
Bad Company is a 144' (43.9m) sport fisherman of imposing presence and purposeful grace, carrying a length at waterline of 123.9' (37.8 m), a beam of 27' (8.2m), and a shallow, confident draft of 7' (2.13 m) max. Completed and launched in 1998 with a 2018 refit, she is identified by HIN TYY12608J899 and measured at 311 GT ITC and 168 GRT, with net tonnage of 93 NT ITC and 128 NRT. Displacing 475,000 lbs and built to a monohull semi-displacement configuration, she welcomes eleven guests with the support of eight professional crew. Her pedigree shines through construction by Trinity Yachts, naval architecture by Doug Sharp of Sharp Design, and exterior and interior styling by Doug Sharp Design. The robust aluminum hull is complemented by teak overlays in the cockpit, mezzanine, upper deck, flybridge, and swim platform, with painted nonskid on the foredeck and side decks for assured footing.
Her performance is as compelling as her lines: a maximum of 26 kts at approximately 190 Gal per hour for each engine, a fast, efficient 23 kts cruise at about 120 gal per hour for each engine, and an economical 14 kts at roughly 53 gal per hour for each engine, all underpinned by a transoceanic range of 2300nm at 10 knots. Capacities are generous and voyage-ready, with 9250 gal of fuel and 2400 gal of fresh water supporting long itineraries. Black water totals 388 gal, divided between a forward tank of 118 and an aft tank of 270, while grey water totals 170 gal, with 73 forward and 97 aft. Engine room logistics remain clean and controlled with 184 gal of lube oil capacity and 193 gal of waste oil capacity. Proudly flagged USA with ON 1074457 and IMO 8980268, she is built to ABS classification.
In the machinery space, propulsion comes from two MTU 12V4000M93L main engines delivering 3,460 hp each, with serial numbers 526109429 (Port) and 526109425 (Stbd), showing approximately 3,250 hours on the port and 3,221 hours on the starboard. Electrical power is drawn from Northern Lights / John Deere M65T13-65kW generators producing 65 kW at 120/208 VAC, three-phase, 60 Hz, 225 A, 1,800 RPM, with fuel consumption of about 2.5 gal/hour; generator hours stand near 1,091 (Port) and 1,112 (Starboard). Shore power flexibility is ensured by ASEA master/slave converters accepting inputs from 170–520 VAC at 40–70 Hz, three-phase, up to 200 A max. Generator starting is by battery, with batteries dedicated to ship’s needs that include two main engine start units and two generator start units, as well as GMDSS for emergency readiness.
Handling and comfort underway are assured by EMI electrohydraulic power steering and an EMI electrohydraulic power system with an AC electric hydraulic power pack, while the gearboxes are remote hard mounted to the main longitudinals for longevity and smooth engagement. A Naiad stabilizer model further calms the ride. Other machinery is equally comprehensive: two Watermaker Inc units produce 1400 gal per day, freshwater purity is polished by a Superior Yacht Water Filtration System—also specified as the water softener—and maneuvering is enhanced by an American Bow Thruster 75 hp electric unit. Fuel is kept pristine via an Alpha Laval MAB-103B-24 fuel separator and filtration system. A Hamman 1cbm/hr sewage system handles black water, and there is no oily water separator specified (N/A). Air management is robust with two air compressor units rated at 67300 BTUH at 25 degrees F saturated suction temperature with 2397 CFH displacement. Climate control is delivered by Model 4NC-202(Y) air conditioning paired with two Blitzer 4NE-20-2NU compressors, two Weiland Onda Heat Exchanges, and Guge Marine Logic control, while deck operations are served by a Marquipt Tender Lift 2500 davit.
Communication and navigation in the pilothouse are purpose-built for global voyaging. SAT COM is handled by a Sailor GMDSS Inmarsat C terminal, while shipwide and cellular communications flow through Panasonic PABX systems, including the KA-TA624 Advanced Hybrid telephone system, and SSB duties are covered by a Sailor 6301 DSC HF/MF with Sailor 6103 alarm panel. VHF capability is extensive with two Sailor 6222 DSC sets and two Sailor handheld units, including the Sailor model C4901 VHF/DSC Transceiver. A Furuno NX700 Navtex with Thrane & Thrane printer keeps the bridge informed. The navigation suite features two Furuno open array radars (Model RSB-096), an Anschutz digital gyrocompass with repeater, a Ritchie magnetic compass at the flybridge, an Anschutz PilotStar D autopilot, and a Furuno FCV-1200L color video sounder. Positioning and route planning are enabled by a Furuno LCD GP GPS, a PC with Microsoft wireless keyboard as ship’s computer, and two Nobeltec PC electronic chart systems. Wind and speed data are presented through a B&G Hydra 2000 system and two B&G 20/20 CD LCD displays.
Entertainment onboard is both refined and intuitive. In the main salon and dining area, a console-mounted TV rises on an electric lift, paired with a Samsung Blu-ray, a Control 4 system controller, a 4-channel amplifier, a Sony AV tuner, and overhead Linn speakers. The sky lounge mirrors the experience with a flat screen TV on electric lift, Samsung Blu-ray, a Denon AV surround receiver, two zone amplifiers, a Control 4 system, and overhead speakers. On the aft deck, a Sunbrite outdoor TV with cover and soundbar invites open-air viewing, while the galley lounge offers an LG LED TV and overhead speakers. The owner’s stateroom entertains with an LED TV concealed behind a motorized retractable art panel, a Denon AV receiver, Apple TV, overhead Linn Sekrit speakers, and a subwoofer. Guest staterooms each feature individual TVs and overhead speakers. On deck, audio extends with four overhead Poly-Planar speakers at the flybridge and marinized overhead speakers on the sun deck. Satellite TV is served by Starlink RV plus Starlink Maritime antennas.
Culinary ambitions are met by a main galley outfitted with a Miele glass top five-burner cooktop, two Miele electric ovens, a GE microwave, two Sub-Zero side-by-side refrigerator/freezers, an additional Sub-Zero unit, and a Bosch undercounter dishwasher. Crew operations are streamlined with a Miele Professional stacked washer/dryer in the crew galley/mess, and the dedicated laundry includes a Miele washer and a Miele dryer.
On deck, mooring and ground tackle are engineered for authority and ease. Forward, two Maxwell VWC6000 vertical anchor windlasses with warping capstans handle the gear, complemented aft by two Maxwel VWC6000 vertical warping capstans. The port anchor is a 240 lb CQR on eight shots of 5/8" galvanized U2 chain, while to starboard a 110 kg (242 lb) galvanized Bruce-type rides on five shots of 5/8" galvanized U2 chain; the anchor chain is 5/8" galvanized throughout. Tender handling is accomplished by a Marquipt Tender Lift 2500 hydraulic boat crane and davit, and boarding is made seamless by a hydraulic passarelle with its dedicated power pack in the steering compartment. Tenders and toys include an AB Inflatables 19VST (2016) 19' fiberglass hard-bottom inflatable, a 2014 Yamaha Wave runner three-person PWC, a 2018 SeaDoo Spark, and a 2018 Kawasaki stand up jet ski. Note: Subject to change and/or negotiation during the buying process.
Security and safety have been specified with the same no-compromise mindset. The SCW CCTV system monitors through Samsung Hikvision cameras displayed on Samsung monitors. Fire protection centers on a Kidde X3 100lbs CO2 suppression system, augmented by a comprehensive inventory of portable extinguishers: three Buckeye ABC units comprising two 10lbs and one 5lbs; ten Ansul ABC units comprising six 10lbs, one 20lbs, and three 5lbs; four ABS CO2 units at 2kgs; six Kiddie ABC units comprising one 20lbs, two 10lbs, one 2.5lbs, and two 1.5lbs; one Lalizas ABC at 1kg; seven Amerex units comprising two 2.5gal foam, two 5lbs CO2, one ABC 5lbs, one ABC 10lbs, and one Halotron 5lbs; and two Eversafe units comprising one 9lts foam and one 5kg CO2. Alarms are integrated via the AMS System. Safety equipment is equally exhaustive, including two sixteen-person Viking canister life rafts on hydrostatic releases with SOLAS A pack, four man overboard throw rings—two with smoke strobes, one with strobe buoy, and one with heaving line—alongside a McMurdo EPIRB with hydrostatic release and an Orion flare kit with a 12 ga. handgun and four red flare shells. Medical readiness is assured with a MedAire Mini med pack, an MSOS – Distant Ocean Medical Kit, and a MedAire Global Med Kit 10 trauma and medications kit.
Accommodations are arranged for privacy, serenity, and ease. Aft, the owner’s stateroom spans full beam with a king bed, nightstands, reading lamps, portlights, a lounge, and a dressing table with flip-top mirror, plus his and her walk-in cedar-lined wardrobes. His and her heads are appointed with toilets, vanities featuring wood sinks, mirrored walls, and a large walk-in marble shower with rain head and bench. Forward to port, a guest stateroom offers a full bed, overhead hatch to the foredeck, storage drawers, nightstands, an entertainment center, and a cedar hanging locker, served by an ensuite head with vanity, toilet, stone tile floor, shower with bench, and skylight. To starboard forward, a companion guest stateroom mirrors the arrangement with a full bed, overhead hatch to the foredeck, storage drawers, nightstands, entertainment center, and cedar hanging locker, together with an ensuite head offering a vanity, toilet, stone tile floor, shower with bench, and skylight. Amidships to port, another guest stateroom features a full bed, portlight, drawers, entertainment center, and a cedar hanging locker, served by an ensuite head with vanity, toilet, stone tile floor, shower with bench, and skylight. Starboard amidships, a versatile guest stateroom is fitted with two single beds inboard/outboard plus a Pullman, a portlight, drawers, an entertainment center, and a hanging locker, and likewise offers an ensuite head with vanity, toilet, stone tile floor, shower with bench, and skylight.
