Detailed Description

Overview and highlights

DIRT POOR is a classic 118’ Trinity raised-pilothouse motor yacht, originally delivered in 1999 and continuously refit to preserve her pedigree and performance. With generous volume and timeless styling, she combines a warm, inviting interior with expansive exterior spaces suited to entertaining or private relaxation.

Stepping in from the aft deck, the open salon flows naturally to a formal dining area and forward to a large country-style galley where stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, and ample seating create a natural gathering point for family and guests. Guest accommodations are situated on the lower deck for maximum comfort underway, comprising a full-beam master suite aft, two large queen VIP staterooms, and a twin with Pullman, all ensuite. Crew are well served forward in the bow, with accommodations for up to six in three crew cabins and two separate heads and showers.

Up top, the flybridge features a spacious lounge, a Jacuzzi, a full-service wet bar, and a new propane barbecue, plus a large boat deck for toy and tender storage. Aft, the cockpit on the aft deck invites alfresco dining around a varnished teak table, with dual stairways leading down to the swim platform for easy water access.

With continuous upgrades and refits—including significant work in 2019, 2022, and continuing through 2024–2025 encompassing interior updates and machinery work—DIRT POOR stands ready for her next adventures, a testament to Trinity pedigree and the enduring allure of a timeless raised-pilothouse design.

Construction

Crafted by Trinity Yachts, DIRT POOR features a robust aluminum hull and superstructure paired with teak and non-skid decks that unite elegance with practical durability. She is a raised pilothouse, semi-displacement motor yacht—a design that blends efficiency, seaworthiness, and comfort at sea. Renowned worldwide for producing high-quality aluminum yachts that combine strength, performance, and timeless style, Trinity Yachts sets the standard that DIRT POOR so clearly reflects, offering her next owners the assurance of proven American craftsmanship supported by thoughtful maintenance and continuous upgrades.

Accommodations

Accessed from the starboard foyer with impressive headroom, DIRT POOR’s guest accommodations unfold on the lower deck as four spacious, ensuite staterooms designed for tranquil privacy and effortless comfort. Aft, the full-beam master suite serves as a private retreat with a king-size bed, an oversized walk-in closet, a sofa, abundant drawer storage, and a luxurious his-and-hers bath with separate toilets, a spa-style Jacuzzi tub, and a generous shower, while large portholes bathe the space in natural light to create a calm, relaxing atmosphere.

Forward, two matching queen VIP staterooms to port and starboard offer excellent storage and elegant ensuite baths, and amidships a twin stateroom with Pullman comfortably hosts additional family or guests. All staterooms are equipped with entertainment systems featuring televisions and satellite TV for comfort and convenience.

The crew area forward in the bow accommodates up to six crew in three cabins, served by two separate heads with showers.

Machinery

DIRT POOR is powered by twin Caterpillar 3412C diesels, each rated at 1,350 hp. As of September 2025, both engines report approximately 8,020 hours, with the port engine receiving a complete rebuild in March 2024. Trinity’s use of the 3412C series underscores their reputation for durability, worldwide service support, and long lifecycle reliability, and with consistent service DIRT POOR’s power package remains a proven platform for safe, extended cruising.

Supporting systems have been well cared for and upgraded as needed, including generator rebuilds, air-conditioning replacement, and shore power conversion, and her machinery spaces reflect the continuous maintenance program that has kept the yacht in strong operational condition.

The main engines are two Caterpillar 3412C units at 1,350 hp each on a standard shaft drive. Hours include Port SMOH 405 following a complete rebuild in March 2024, with total hours recorded in 2025 at Port: 8,262 and Starboard: 8,318; service items include a valve adjustment, replacement of crank case breathers, gaskets, and valve covers, and a new engine block heater. Complementing propulsion are two Northern Lights 55 kW, 3-phase generators showing Port 2,289 hours SMOH and Starboard 1,384 hours SMOH. Shore power is handled by two 100-amp circuits, dual Stabline voltage booster/regulators, and 12V and 24V automatic battery chargers, together with an ANG SPC 75 kW shore power transformer and converter (master and slave) featuring input auto-ranging, multi-voltage, single/3-phase, 50–60 Hz, and dual cord output 120/208V+N, 3-phase, 60 Hz US, new April 2023.

Climate control is delivered by two Dometic and two Flow Marine titanium units totaling 20 tons, supported by three soft-start compressors at five tons each (60,000 BTU). Aqua Air fan coil assemblies circulate conditioned air, with five new Dometic units installed in March 2022 serving the salon and galley, and even the lazarette is air-conditioned.

Other machinery includes an Atlas FCI watermaker rated at 1,500 GPD (2024), Naiad stabilizers, an HPS bow thruster, Kobelt steering, and Alfa Laval fuel filtration. Sanitation is robust with eight LF 210 toilets, all serviced with new diaphragms and springs in 2022, two 110 VAC Oberdoffer macerators, and black water managed by two tanks with dockside or direct overboard pump out.

Her range and performance are well documented: at 1,000 RPM she makes 9.5 knots; at 1,100 RPM, 10.5 knots; at 1,300 RPM, 11.5 knots; at 1,400 RPM, 12.0 knots; at 1,450 RPM, 50 GPH equals 2,000 NM, towing 42CC and generator; at 1,500 RPM, 13.0 knots; at 1,600 RPM, 14.0 knots; at 1,700 RPM, 14.5 knots; at 1,800 RPM, 15.0 knots; at 1,900 RPM, 16.0 knots at 70% load; and at 2,000 RPM, 16.8 knots at 75% load.

Communication, navigation & entertainment systems

Connectivity and command are elevated by Starlink satellite internet (2024), complemented by FLIR (2025) and new navigation and camera computers (2025). VHF coverage includes a SEA M602 radio at the main helm and an Icom M506 on the flybridge, with an Icom M605 on order, while long‑range communication is delivered by a SEA 2250 single sideband radio.

Navigation precision is assured by a Simrad RA713CA color radar paired with a Furuno ARPA on the flybridge, a new Plath gyrocompass, and a Simrad AP 70MK2 autopilot installed new in October 2025. Depth and speed are provided by a B&G Hydra 2000 depth and water‑speed indicator at the bridge and flybridge, supported by a B&G 20/20 CD pack large display and a Datamarine D3000. Positioning and plotting are managed by Northstar 952X and 6000i GPS plotters at the bridge and flybridge, together with the Nobeltec Admiral Series chart plotter. Additional helm essentials include a Sperry Marine rudder angle indicator, two spotlight remote controls at the bridge and flybridge, and an ESL-1500 fire alarm panel with bilge panel integration.

For entertainment, a Fusion stereo system with SiriusXM satellite radio delivers zoned audio tailored to the flybridge, sundeck, and bow.

Domestic equipment

Thoughtfully appointed domestic amenities elevate life on board, beginning in the main galley where a new 2024 range, oven, microwave, and refrigerator anchor a refined culinary workspace. They are complemented by a KitchenAid KUID308HPS00 icemaker with an 18-inch footprint and 35 lb capacity, dual dishwashers—KitchenAid KDTE404DSS0 and KitchenAid KUDP02FRSS0—and a KitchenAid trash compactor to streamline cleanup.

In the salon, an Ice-O-Matic UCG100A icemaker, installed new in April 2022, delivers an 18-inch form factor with a 48 lb capacity and 114 lb daily production, while a 42-bottle wine cooler keeps vintages perfectly tempered for any occasion.

Outdoor entertaining is effortless on the sun deck, where a second Ice-O-Matic UCG100A icemaker—also new in April 2022—matches the 18-inch, 48 lb capacity and 114 lb daily production, and a Kenyon Texan grill, rated 240V and 2600W and installed new in May 2022, serves as the centerpiece for open-air cooking.

Provisioning is supported by a pantry refrigerator, the GE GTS16GSHCRSS with a 15.5 cu. ft. top-freezer configuration, alongside a Kenmore 253-24082100 freezer. In the guest foyer, a Sub-Zero 700BR two-slider drawer refrigerator with a finished front adds an elegant, space-saving cold-storage solution.

Laundry care is equally robust, featuring a main Maytag LSE7806ACE washer/dryer and a dedicated crew facility with a Maytag MEH4200BW2 washer and a Maytag MED4200BW0 dryer.

Deck equipment

On the bow, two Maxwell VWC 6000 vertical electric windlasses, rebuilt in October 2025, deliver powerful and reliable anchoring performance, while aft, two Maxwell VWC 3500 vertical electric windlasses with reversing capability provide precise control for smooth retrieval and deployment. The ground tackle comprises two 231-pound Poole galvanized anchors with full rigging, served by two galvanized anchor chains, each three hundred fifty feet in length, ensuring secure holding in a wide range of conditions. Tender handling is effortless with a MarQuipt davit rated at 2,500 pounds and operated via dual-speed handheld controls, and dockside connectivity is assured by two 100-amp, three-phase shore supply cords. Thoughtful finishing touches, including custom handrails and teak cap rails, combine practical safety with a timeless, classic aesthetic.

Security, firefighting & safety equipment

Confident protection begins with a comprehensive CCTV suite featuring three fixed cameras covering the engine room, aft deck, and mast, augmented by additional coverage from aft deck, flybridge, and engine room cameras plus a swivel masthead unit. Four Axis 360 P3727 cameras work in concert with Axis S228 recorders to provide 4 TB of data storage serving the engine room and aft deck, while dedicated monitors in the wheelhouse ensure instant situational awareness. For secure stowage, ship safes are discreetly positioned in the master stateroom and the captain’s cabin.

Safety systems span the entire vessel, with fire, heat, and smoke detectors throughout, a fixed CO₂ fire suppression system installed in the engine room, and portable CO₂ and ABC extinguishers placed for rapid response across all areas.
