Detailed Description

Overview

The Sleek 52 by Tureddi Yachts represents a new generation of long-range displacement motor yachts. With a length of 52 meters and a gross tonnage of 499 GT, this vessel unites contemporary exterior styling, excellent hydrodynamic efficiency, and ocean‑grade engineering.

Constructed with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, the Sleek 52 delivers superior stability, generous internal volumes, and an autonomy of 4,500 nautical miles at 10 knots, making it ideal for transoceanic passages. Designed by 3-Studio for both exterior and interior, the yacht blends luxury, practicality, and high-end technology throughout.

Built to the latest RINA Class requirements and compliant with IMO/SOLAS safety standards where applicable, the Sleek 52 ensures safe, unrestricted navigation worldwide. Its layout and specifications are fully customizable, it offers an attractive price while benefiting from the yard’s decades of experience, and it features a full-beam beach club with a wellness center and balconies.

Propulsion system and performance

Power is delivered by two MTU 8V 4000 M63 main engines in a V8 configuration, turbocharged and liquid-cooled, fully compliant with IMO Tier II emissions standards. A seawater cooling system with heat exchangers optimizes thermal management, while a wet exhaust system with separators ensures clean, quiet operation. This propulsion package achieves a maximum speed of 15 knots and a comfortable cruising speed of 13 knots, with a range of 4,500 nautical miles at 10 knots. Engineered for extended ocean cruising, it delivers optimal efficiency with reduced vibration and noise levels.

Propulsion train & manoeuvring

Engineered for confident control, the propulsion train combines twin bronze four-blade, class-approved propellers with a Marinox shaft system on anti-vibration mounts to deliver smooth, efficient thrust with refined quietness. Dual NACA-profile rudders heighten manoeuvrability, while a single 75 kW electric bow thruster operating on 400 V assures precise low-speed handling; for added authority when docking, two stern thrusters rated at 30 kW each are available as an option.

Electrical power generation

Power on board is delivered by two Kohler generators, each rated at 80 kW and configured for 400V at 50 Hz, housed within soundshield enclosures and set on vibration-dampened mounts for whisper-quiet, refined operation. A robust electrical distribution architecture provides 400V AC in three phase and 230V AC in single phase, complemented by a 24V DC circuit dedicated to emergency and essential services, ensuring seamless continuity throughout the yacht. Shore power is taken through a 125 A inlet with an isolation transformer, with automatic paralleling to prevent blackout during switching for uninterrupted comfort. Energy reserves are entrusted to Mastervolt service, emergency, and starting battery banks, with smart monitoring via Masterbus and Mastershunt to keep performance transparent and efficiency optimized.

Noise and vibration level targets

A whisper-quiet ambience is meticulously engineered throughout, with maximum sound levels capped at 55 dB on the lower deck, 50 dB on the main deck, 48 dB on the upper deck, and 45 dB on the sun deck. Noise and vibration are minimised through multilayer insulation, anti-vibration mounts, and floating floor systems where applicable, ensuring serene comfort across every space.

Engineering systems

The yacht’s fuel system is engineered for assurance and reach, with dual fueling stations to starboard and port complete with overflow retention, a high-capacity Gianneschi 400 V transfer pump, and an Alfa-Laval centrifugal purifier rated at 400 L/h to deliver clean, reliable supply. Dual Racor filter and water-separator assemblies safeguard the main engines, complemented by dedicated Racor filtration for the generators. Carbon-steel welded fuel lines provide enduring integrity, while sight gauges together with digital VEGA sensors on the day tanks ensure precise, real-time monitoring.

Cooling and exhaust are managed by a seawater open-circuit system with heat exchangers, fed through dual sea-chests equipped with professional galvanized manifolds and protected by stainless steel seawater filters. Piping throughout is specified in AISI 304 and galvanized steel to balance robustness and longevity.

The bilge system is purpose-built for demanding conditions, featuring two 4 kW professional bilge pumps delivering twenty cubic metres per hour each, supported by check valves, automatic alarms, and high-water sensors. A bilge tank with shore discharge is MARPOL-compliant, and electric Wafer valves are controlled by the automation plant for swift, centralized command.

Fresh water is delivered through a pressurized system powered by twin Gianneschi 400 V pumps and routed via press-fit stainless steel AISI 316 piping. Domestic hot water is assured by two water heaters of 100 L each, while a watermaker producing 500 L/h from Idromar or Tecnicomar, paired with a sand filter and UV sterilization unit, guarantees abundant, purified supply on board.

Black water management is equally comprehensive, with an 8,000 L tank fitted with shore pump-out and a Tecnicomar treatment system sized for twelve or more persons, all served by stainless steel AISI 316 piping within the engine room to maintain the highest hygiene and durability standards.

Grey water is contained in a 9,000 L tank operating on a gravity system and plumbed with stainless steel 316 drain lines, with treatment and overboard discharge conducted in full accordance with MARPOL, ensuring environmental responsibility without compromise to performance.

Deck equipment and handling

Effortless control begins at the bow with two horizontal anchor windlasses rated at 7.5 kW and 400V, finished in stainless steel and paired with a chain gypsy engineered for 22 mm chain, while two stern professional mooring winches of 5.5 kW deliver authoritative handling alongside. Tender operations are confidently managed by a Besenzoni crane with a 1.7 t lifting capacity. Integrated into the Wellness Area, two shell doors operate electro-hydraulically and are built with reinforced frames and robust locking systems for unwavering security. Boarding and water access are refined by a telescopic gangway and a Besenzoni-type bathing ladder, completing a deck arrangement designed for seamless, elegant functionality.

HVAC and comfort

A centralized chilled-water HVAC system with an integrated heat pump anchors onboard climate control, while fan-coils are installed in insulated compartments to reduce vibration and preserve serenity. Air distribution is meticulously engineered for optimal flow and minimal noise throughout the yacht. Designed for the Mediterranean climate, with Tropical and Arctic versions available on request, the system also provides independent temperature control for all staterooms and salons, ensuring personalized comfort in every space.

Stabilization system

Engineered for unwavering comfort at anchor and underway, the yacht is equipped with active fin stabilizers delivering Zero-Speed functionality, specified as the CMC LR system or an equivalent solution. For those seeking an additional layer of poise, a gyro stabilizer is available as an option. The structure incorporates dedicated reinforcement around the stabilizer compartments to ensure durability and optimal performance.

Fire safety and monitoring

Safety is engineered into every space, with a smoke detector in every room from Autronica or similar, all overseen by a centralized fire detection control panel in the wheelhouse. The engine room is safeguarded by an aerosol fire-suppression system, while a diesel emergency pump stands ready for dedicated firefighting. Security and situational awareness are enhanced by monitoring via cameras and intrusion alarms, fully integrated into the yacht’s automation system.

Navigation and communication - wheelhouse

Centered around an integrated bridge, the wheelhouse presents three 21-inch LCD monitors dedicated to navigation and automation, with intuitive touch panels governing radar, echo-sounder, GPS, log, and charts. Precision handling comes via multifunction joystick and trackball control, while a Furuno ARPA radar is complemented by UHD radar for enhanced target tracking. Positioning is assured by the GPS GP-33 and a Navtex receiver, and passage-making is eased by a robust autopilot system. Safety and compliance are addressed with dual VHF DSC, EPIRB and radar SART, a searchlight integrated into the automation suite, and a traditional magnetic compass.

Communication aboard is equally advanced, featuring high-speed satellite internet, an internal intercom system, and full integration with the onboard AV systems.
