Machinery

Power comes from 2 x MTU 12V4000 diesel main engines rated at 1,800 hp each, turning through ZF 4650-A reduction gearboxes to Wartsilla shafts with Veem Star LC 5BLH V*LC propellers. Engine hours stand at 15840 on the port main and 15804 on the starboard main (Oct 2025). Performance is confident and quiet: a maximum speed of 17.5 knots, a fast cruising speed of 16 knots and an economical speed of 12.5 knots. The yacht’s electrical backbone is engineered for resilience with 115/208V, three-phase, 60 Hz service and 3 x 99 kW Northern Lights generators. Generator hours are Gen #1 – 11344, Gen #2 – 11488, and Gen #3 – 10440 (Oct 2025). Ship’s power is 120/208V, three-phase, 60 Hz, with shore connectivity via 2 x Hyak shore power converters accepting single-phase or three-phase inputs from 208 to 480 V. Tank capacities

Provisioning for extended cruising is generous: fuel capacity is 54,125 litres (14,300 US gallons) and fresh water capacity is 8,327 litres (2,200 US gallons). Two watermakers support autonomy with a combined output of 7,571 litres (2,000 US gallons). Systems fluids are well managed with 567 litres (150 US gallons) of lube oil and 757 litres (200 US gallons) of dirty lube oil storage. Environmental systems include 2,752 litres (727 US gallons) of grey water and 2,812 litres (743 US gallons) of black water capacity.

Precision handling and hotel comfort are assured by a Jastram S-Model steering system with a Hamilton Jet rudder angle indicator, a 100 hp American Bow Thruster Trac 24 bow thruster and Quantum QC1800 zero-speed stabilizers. Thoughtfully designed for versatility, Lady Joy accommodates up to 14–16 guests in six cabins comprising four king staterooms and two twin/pullman cabins. The owner’s suite is positioned forward on the main deck, where a forward-facing king bed leads to a generous his-and-hers ensuite featuring a large spa hot tub and a central joining steam shower room, with ample closet space to port and starboard; a private office lies to starboard. On the lower deck aft, three king cabins each enjoy their own ensuite bathrooms. Forward, two guest cabins are arranged with one single bed, one double bed and one pullman in each. Flexibility is further enhanced by an optional seventh cabin with two bunks and an ensuite bathroom, suitable for guests or crew.
