Overview
2026 83' Semi-Displacement Motor Yacht by Dixon Yacht Design
A fresh expression of modern yachting, this 83-foot, 2026 model is crafted in Taiwan’s renowned shipbuilding hub and shaped by the seaworthy hand of Dixon Yacht Design. A semi-displacement hull, advanced fiberglass construction, and twin MAN inboard diesels deliver a confident, quiet ride with the ability to sprint to 25 knots and settle into efficient passage-making when the horizon calls.
Step aboard and discover a world composed by Johnson Yachts’ interior studio—elegant, light-filled, and intuitively arranged for both relaxed family cruising and sophisticated entertaining. Full-height glazing bathes the main salon in natural light, framing the seascape with cinematic effect. Rich textures, refined joinery, and carefully curated stones and fabrics create a contemporary ambiance that remains warm and welcoming. A forward dining area invites lingering meals, while the adjacent galley is designed for serious culinary ambitions and effortless service.
Outdoor living is equally compelling. A broad beam gifts the aft deck with generous lounge and dining space, flowing seamlessly down to a spacious swim platform for easy access to the water and tenders. Up top, the flybridge presents panoramic views and multiple social zones—perfect for sunset cocktails, alfresco dining, and open-air cruising. Forward, the foredeck lounge becomes a private sanctuary for sunning or quiet conversation at anchor.
Accommodations are tailored for extended journeys. The owner’s suite is a haven of volume and privacy, complemented by beautifully finished guest staterooms that echo the yacht’s design language. Five finely appointed heads ensure comfort throughout, while a discreet crew area for two, with independent access, maintains seamless service and uninterrupted guest tranquility.
Beneath the yacht’s poised aesthetic lies true capability. With 1,600 gallons of fuel and a practical 350 gallons of fresh water, the vessel is built for bluewater confidence and coastal agility alike. Fiberglass decks feel solid underfoot, and the semi-displacement hull geometry balances efficiency with poise in a range of sea states. At the helm, modern navigation, clear sightlines, and well-considered ergonomics make long passages rewarding for owner-operators and professional crew alike.
From profile to propulsion, this 83-footer is a refined, ready-to-cruise statement piece—equally at home island-hopping with friends or stretching her legs offshore. She is, simply, an elegant answer to every journey you’ve been planning.

Detailed Description
I. Hull & deck- exterior general:
The main deck is sheathed in 14 mm teak, setting a luxurious tone that continues with stainless steel and Nylac integral rollers and a chain stopper featuring a groove machined into the roller to guide the anchor rode. A 250-foot length of 3/8" galvanized chain feeds a single Maxwell hydraulic windlass VWC4000 and secures to a single 120 lb stainless steel anchor, with a freshwater anchor chain washdown and a foredeck hose outlet keeping everything pristine. Heavy-duty 316# S/S handrails and elliptical stanchions join matching 316# S/S cleats and fairleads, complemented by two extra pop-up cleats on the aft platform. The superstructure carries black tempered laminated safety glass in 5 mm + 5 mm, and a stainless steel pneumatic saloon sliding door with push-button activation and safety sensors, while a pantograph-style side door in the deckhouse (port only) adds professional-grade practicality. Manship elliptical stainless steel port lights, a stainless rub rail with rubber insert at the hull-to-deck joint, and twin Maxwell VC1500 24V stern capstans underscore the robust specification. The aft deck invites relaxation with seating in Sunbrella outdoor fabric, removable covers, and a dedicated table with a protective cover, set off by low-level LED courtesy lighting on both the side decks and aft deck. Teak-laid tread stairs lead to the flybridge, and a large teak-inlay swim platform with a curved stairway up to the aft deck features a hot-and-cold swim shower, a stainless steel swim ladder, and a lazarette sized for fender stowage. For superb close-quarters control, one set of engine and thruster controls is fitted to the starboard or port aft coaming, and a hydraulic swimming platform—Besenzoni PL850 or equivalent—with 1,873 lbs of lifting capacity completes this seaworthy exterior.
II. Underwater gear
Below the waterline, twin five-blade bronze propellers are carried on bronze P-brackets with S/S Aquatech 22HS shafts measuring 3 1/2" in diameter. Tides Marine shaft lip seal glands sized 3 1/2" x 5 1/2" and Duramax Marine cutlass bearings protect and support the running gear, while high-performance stainless steel rudders with Aquatech 22 stocks, Tides Marine shaft lip seal glands, and bronze bearings deliver precise control. The hull receives a full antifouling system: Sea Hawk primer systems Tuff Stuff 1284 Grey or 1285 White beneath Sea Hawk self-polishing copolymer antifouling Cukote, in 3445 Black or 3430 Dark Blue. A 3" boot top stripe can be specified in black, blue, or red, and a full cathodic bonding network ties to zinc anodes. Seawater strainers are fitted for engines, genset, and air-conditioning, with seacocks on all underwater fittings. Maneuverability and poise are assured with hydraulic bow and stern thrusters, “at-rest” stabilizers, and an underwater exhaust system with mufflers and bypass, all set under hydraulic steering by Hynautic model PSHC5803 with power assist.
III. Skylounge
The skylounge exudes yachting finesse with a 14 mm teak-and-holly sole in a matt finish and a leather-clad instrument console. A stainless steel access hatch and staircase with teak treads leads up from the saloon to a refined space centered on a high-quality built-in leather couch paired with a petite coffee table, alongside an icemaker and refrigerator combo. Command is effortless with Hynautic PSHC5803 hydraulic steering, full engine controls and instrumentation, a magnetic compass, and twin Exalto model 250BS 24V wipers with 950 mm arms. Choose either a Garmin or Raymarine navigation suite: Garmin’s package includes two GPSMAP 8617 fully-integrated 17" multi-touch MFDs, a GMI 20 marine instrument display, a GMR Fantom 4"/40W/72 NM solid-state open-array radar, a Garmin VHF 210 marine radio, an AIS 600 Class B transceiver, a GHP 20 marine autopilot system with SmartPump, and a Garmin GSD 25 marine network sounder 2 kW; Raymarine’s option comprises two GS15 4" Glass Bridge multifunction displays with Wi‑Fi, an i70 multifunction color display, a 48" HD color open array with 4 kW pedestal, a Ray218E VHF radio, an AIS 650 Class B transceiver, Evolution Autopilot with P70R control head and ACU‑400 actuator control unit, and a CP100 DownVision fishfinder. Stabilizer control and monitoring, bow and stern thruster control panel, a comprehensive CCTV system with an eight-channel network DVR and five cameras (two in the engine room, two on the aft deck, and one on the foredeck facing the winch), a rudder angle indicator, and a Headhunter TS‑3000 series fuel gauge round out the helm. Night operations are enhanced by a PAR 60010‑2024 searchlight with joystick control, low-level 24V LED courtesy lights, LED lighting under the radar arch, indirect LED lighting beneath the wet bar and seating, and entertainment by a Fusion system—MS‑AV700i DVD/receiver with Fusion‑Link, four MS‑CL602 6" marine ceiling speakers, and an MS‑BT200 Bluetooth adapter module for the Sirius port. A pop‑up cabinet reveals a 32" LCD TV with Apple TV for streaming, stainless steel grab rail encircles the bar unit, the stainless steering wheel feels reassuring in hand, the Buell air horn projects authority, and the LeBroc LX double‑wide two‑seater helm chair keeps captain and companion comfortable. To starboard, the settee pulls out with a cushion insert to convert seamlessly into a skipper’s berth.
IV. Engine propulsion & engine room equipment
Power is delivered by twin MAN D2842 LE433 engines rated at 1,550 HP at 2,300 RPM, each turning through ZF transmissions ZF2050A with a 2.029:1 ratio. Fuel polishing and protection are ensured with one dual Racor filter for each engine and dedicated Racor filtration for each genset. Acoustic serenity stems from Van Cappellen design double sound and heat insulation using a foam-and-lead composite throughout the engine room, which itself is generously laid out, finished in white with grey non-skid rubber flooring. Fuel tanks feature electric sending units by Headhunter TS-3000 series; fire safety is addressed by a SeaFire FM-200 automatic system, and Delta “T” extractor fans close vents automatically in the event of fire. Illumination combines AC fluorescent fixtures with DC LED dome lights, while a manual bilge pump draws from the lowest point when the vessel is at rest. Fresh water pressure comes from a high-volume AC pump Headhunter March 5 M5-115 with a backup 24V DC Groco PSR 4000004-24. Climate mastery arrives via chilled-water air conditioning by Cruisair at 96,000 BTU, and extended cruising is supported by twin Aqua Whisper DX 450 watermakers rated 450 GPD each. An oil-changing pump services engines, generators, and transmissions. Ship’s power is provided by Generator 1: Onan QD MDKBU 29 kW 60 Hz, with Generator 2: Onan QD MDKBU 29 kW 60 Hz available as an option. Domestic hot water is supplied by two Torrid 20-gallon heaters. Redundancy and control continue with an emergency tiller, and a hydraulic pump on each engine driving thrusters, stabilizers, and steering, while housekeeping is simplified by a Nutone CV352 110V/220V central vacuum system.
V. Electrical
The yacht is wired for 110V/220V AC and 24V DC, with two Glendinning Cablemaster 75' 50 Amp sets for effortless shore power handling. Dedicated battery chargers serve both 24V and 12V circuits, and an alternator split-charging system links house banks with BEP high-charge regulators fitted. Ship service relies on four 255 Ah 12V gel-cell sealed batteries, engine cranking on four 225 Ah gel-cell sealed batteries, and the genset on a single 210 Ah gel-cell sealed battery. AC sockets are distributed throughout with GFI protection where required, and switching is simplified by a BEP battery select switch. The main electrical panel consolidates AC and DC circuit breakers into four zones—engine room, helm, A/C and DC—with automatic backlighting when the door opens. Corrosion prevention is enhanced by an anti-electrolysis bonding system, and two automatic isolating and booster transformers at 50 Amp keep voltages stable. Generators: two Onan QD MKKDS 29 kW round out a robust and resilient electrical architecture.
VI. Plumbing system
Onboard services include a 100-gallon blackwater holding tank with macerator pump and a “Y” valve for overboard pump-out, monitored by a Headhunter holding tank level indicator. Showers drain to a dedicated sump pump, and marine-grade lines feed the freshwater system from a stainless steel 350-gallon water tank with sending unit. Sight gauges are fitted for both fuel and water tanks, there is a dockside freshwater inlet, and color-coded piping speeds identification. All thru-hull fittings carry bronze intake valves, and a discharge manifold minimizes the number of thru-hulls. Comfort and hygiene are assured by a freshwater Sealand vacuum toilet system. Safety systems include high-water bilge alarms in the engine room, forward bilge, and lazarette compartments—six in total—with a mimic panel at the helm, and six Rule 3700 GPH bilge pumps with float switches backed by high-water alarms.
VII. Interior finish
The interior is crafted in select mahogany or cherry with burr wood accents and ivory lacquer, harmonized by your choice of fine upholstery fabrics to create a calm, contemporary ambiance.
VIII. Galley
The galley is specified for gourmet ease with the latest G.E. appliances, including an electric refrigerator/freezer, cooktop, oven, and a microwave with integral extractor fan. A stainless steel sink with hot and cold water sits amid generous cabinetry with cupboards, drawers, and stowage, while a trash compactor and dishwasher—both G.E. latest models—make service effortless. Two double AC sockets provide ample power, overhead storage crowns the galley bench, and underfoot you may select a teak floor or marble floor to complement the yacht’s refined aesthetic.
