The documented program comprehensively addressed machinery, running gear, electrical systems, HVAC, safety equipment, paint, teak, and numerous preventive maintenance items, elevating her mechanical integrity and cosmetic finish to exacting standards.
A comprehensive program of machinery and running gear upgrades has been completed, beginning with full main engine service encompassing oil, oil filters, fuel filters, and air-filter elements. The main engine turbochargers were rebuilt, aftercoolers cleaned and tested, and heat exchangers flushed, while the gearbox received fresh oil and filters. Main engine belts and anodes were renewed, the main engine exhaust gaskets replaced, and the entire exhaust system was rebuilt, including new gaskets, vibration mounts, and insulation. Below the waterline, a new shaft seal kit was installed and shaft bearings were addressed as part of RINA work, with propellers, shafts, and rudders removed, tested, and reinstalled. Steering rams were tested and refitted, shaft cooling hoses were replaced, and raw-water cooling tubing and hoses were renewed. The rudder was repaired, inspected, and approved by RINA, VEEM gyro seawater hoses were upgraded to a fire-rated type, and the engine-room bilges were repainted for a clean, shipshape finish.
Meticulous care has been devoted to the two Northern Lights generators, culminating in a comprehensive top-end service completed in August 2025. Reliability was further assured with complete oil and filter renewal, fuel and air-filter servicing, and a full coolant service, while all generator belts, impellers, and anodes were serviced or renewed and the cooling systems thoroughly cleaned. For compliance and peace of mind, the generator power cables were Megger tested for RINA. Electrical protection and distribution were refreshed with the replacement of the generator and shore-power breakers, complemented by new main AC circuit breakers. Control and oversight were elevated by integrating generator remote operation through the vessel monitoring system and upgrading the alarm-monitoring system, while performance of the starboard generator was optimized with alternator maintenance and rewind.
Recently treated to a comprehensive refit, the yacht benefited from a meticulous haul-out and launching, during which the bottom was thoroughly washed and serviced. A fresh application of SeaHawk bottom paint was professionally laid on, and Propspeed was applied to the propellers and shafts to ensure lasting performance. The hull and superstructure were carefully polished, and precise paint repairs to the hull and superstructure restored a deep, uniform luster.
Across the decks, the entire teak deck was expertly sanded, and the teak decks were recaulked, with the caulking intentionally changed from gray to black for a sharper, more contemporary contrast. Windows were recaulked, as were the fairleads and the rub rail, and the forepeak anchor pockets were rebedded and recaulked to preserve dry, silent operation. Exterior locker and transom-door seals and gaskets were replaced to maintain tight, weathertight integrity.
The ground tackle received equal attention, with the anchors polished and the chain painted, while exterior stair lighting was replaced to brighten evening passages and elevate onboard safety and style.
The yacht’s critical systems have been comprehensively renewed and refined, with the main A/C chiller seawater manifold and its insulation replaced, and the A/C chiller-bank plumbing and manifold fully rebuilt to ensure robust, efficient cooling. Air-conditioning ducting has been thoroughly cleaned and serviced for optimized airflow. Black, gray, fresh-water, and fuel tanks have been cleaned and inspected, complemented by new tank-cover gaskets and the replacement of gray- and black-water tank sensors for reliable monitoring. Black-water tank connections were enlarged to improve head flushing. A new bilge suction-valve actuator and a new fire pump have been installed, while fire, bilge, and fuel pumps have been expertly serviced to deliver dependable performance. Butterfly hull valves have been cleaned, inspected, and reinstalled, completing a meticulous program focused on reliability and safety.
For complete peace of mind, the EPIRB has been checked, while all fire extinguishers and fire systems have been serviced and revalidated. The Mastervolt battery chargers have been serviced, and both the main aft and skylounge sliding doors have received comprehensive attention. Entertainment and visibility upgrades include a replaced sundeck television, four new main-deck speakers, three new wheelhouse forward windows, and two new bulwark glass panels, complemented by the installation of a tender charging plug. Numerous additional mechanical, cosmetic, and preventative-maintenance items have also been completed.
