Overview
IMAGINE is a 44.2m (145ft) performance cruising yacht with an aluminium hull and superstructure constructed to Lloyd's classification by legendary New Zealand shipyard Alloy Yachts and delivered in 2010. Her signature sleek looks and engineering are by Dubois Naval Architects, her interiors are by Misa Poggi and she was most recently refitted in 2020.
Like the owner's choice of designer and builder, she was also fitted out and continually upgraded without compromise. Her carbon fibre mast and furling boom are by Southern Spars and she has Future Fibres' ECsix carbon fibre rigging, reducing weight aloft and pitching moment. Her hydraulic foresail furling gear is by Reckmann, her captive winches are custom-made by Alloy Yachts' in-house team and Furuno and B&G supplied her navigational electronics.
She has been designed to keep the guest deck areas line-free and family friendly. There is a guest cockpit forward of the twin helm stations for open-air dining, sun lounging aft of the main traveller, two large winches to handle sheets for off-wind sails and pushpit seating. The central section of the transom folds down to create a bathing platform with steps leading down to the water. She also has a dive compressor and six sets of dive gear for exploring underwater.
Wide sidedecks lead forward to an open foredeck, creating a versatile guest space at anchor, the 6.3m (20.7ft) tender stows in the jacuzzi just forward of the mast when under sail and a crow's nest that runs up the forward side of the 61.9m (203ft) mast to deliver incredible views of the yacht's anchorage.
Inside there is U-shaped seating to port, an inside helm station and navigation to starboard in the raised saloon and wraparound glass delivers panoramic views. Steps forward lead down to a formal dining area to port and a lounge area to starboard, with sea level views through large hullports either side and natural light from the coachroof windows above.
She welcomes up to eight guests. From the raised saloon, steps lead aft to three of her four guest cabins. Furthest aft is the full-beam owner's suite with a vanity table to port and seating to starboard, both with hullports, an en suite aft, walk-in wardrobe and study. There is also a double suite and a twin suite and a fourth bunk cabin forward of the lower deck saloon.
Her 3DL wardrobe is by North Sails and she has 1,011sqm (10,882sqft) of sail upwind and 1,902sqm (20,473sqft) downwind to give her sparkling all-round performance. A daggerboard gives her a draft of 6.3m (20.7ft) under sail to deliver her upwind performance and that lifts to reduce her draft to 4.2m (14.1ft) for access to shallower ports and lagoons.
