Overview

The 42 Bertram is an American legend and the Rebel Yell has been well maintained by a very knowledgeable owner. Nearly everything has been rebuilt or replaced. The engines have been rebuilt, generator replaced, interior redone, electronics updated, Glass Tech deck, air condition replaced, soft goods replaced, cockpit cabinetry changed to Starboard…change the name and she is ready to go!!!

Accommodations

The Rebel Yell features the classic two stateroom one head layout with a Vee Berth forward and the master stateroom aft and to port with a double down single berth up and private access to the full head with separate stall shower. Aft and to starboard is the full galley. Next aft and up two steps is the salon with entertainment center forward, sofa with storage to starboard, custom swing door to the cockpit. The décor is light and airy with wood grain Formica thru out, beige carpet, custom striped curtain boards, 2” blinds, and Hi/lo table.

Galley

The galley is forward and down from the salon with a Frigidaire upright refrigerator freezer (new 2013), Princess three burner stove and oven, Sanyo microwave oven, single stainless steel sink, and Kenmore 12 gallon water heater.

Deck Equipment

    Starboard cockpit cabinetry (new 2013), Glass Tech fiberglass deck, bridge cushions (new 2014), helm chair cushions (new 2012),  custom swing salon door, collapsible cockpit sunshade, bow pulpit with rails, Fortress anchor, stainless hand rails and hardware, six man Zodiac life raft, 12 volt and 110 volt spreader lights, two Pompanette helm and companion chairs, and electric horns (new 2014).
   

Electronics

Insignia 32” flat panel TV, Sony AM/FM receiver, Sony DVD player, KVH SAT TV stabilized dome, Polk Audio stereo speakers, Simrad AP22 Autopilot, Furuno plotter/GPS, Icom ICM 504 VHF, Poly Planer AM/FM/IPOD dock (new 2014), Garmin GPS map 7212 plotter, 6” Ritchie compass, Pioneer XM sat receiver, MRD 80I IPOD dock, and most Electronics new 2014.

Mechanical

 Cummins 903 VTA diesel engines 450 HP, Kilo Pak 12KW with 1566 hours, two 7,000 BTU air condition units and one 16,000 BTU air condition unit, Crown Raritan head, Mechanical gauge package for gear pressure, oil pressure, water temp, Racor 1000 fuel filters with vacuum gauges, FLO SCAN fuel flo meters, Morse engine controls, and Hynautic hydraulic steering.

Fishing Equipment

Murray large fighting chair with teak ladder back and foot rest, transom door, Rupp double spreader out riggers, Pipe Welders half tower with 2013 cover, four Pompanette gunwale mounted rod holders, four Pompanette clearing rod holders, six gang bridge rail rod rack, and Rupp center rigger.

 

Remarks

The Rebel Yell has always been well maintained and received any care needed. Recently she has had both water tanks replaced; all necessary hoses and repairs were done under the back deck while deck was up. Most everything else was replaced over the past three to four years including most electronics and exterior soft goods. The seller’s lack of time to enjoy his pride and joy cause him to offer her for sale.
