Overview

48′ Custom Carolina Charter fishing vessel, Freshly repainted with a rebuilt engine. The single 3406e, 800 hp Caterpillar engine (just rebuilt by Gregory Poole Caterpillar in Wanchese, NC) 500 hrs SMOH (invoice is available for review) with a Bow Thruster for easy docking. Equipped with Full Electronics, LED Underwater lights, Large cockpit with a full sized fighting chair, Classic Carolina transom door, transom fishbox, Bait and Tackle storage, and Comfortable Mezzanine style seating. The lockable twin salon doors are located along the centerline and open to reveal bench seating, a booth style dinette, storage drawers and a small galley. Reverse cycle Heating/Air Conditioning keeps the cabin comfortable for you and your guests. Full headliner for the salon and side windows add to the passenger comfort. Down the stairs and into the lower cabin, you will find an enclosed head to port. There is a top load, chest style Bait Freezer also located within the Head Compartment. Forward from here is the V-berth with foam mattress. Vessel Name is not included, but the Business and  Promotional/Advertising materials are also available for Purchase.

Engine & Mechanical

Powered by a single 3406e Caterpillar, Wasabi gives the perfect combination of Speed and Fuel Efficiency required to operate a successful Charter Operation. With 7900 original hours, the engine was removed for total Rebuild in July of 2017. There are 500 hrs SMOH (pictures are available of the entire rebuild, as are the invoices). There is a dripless shaft seal as well.

 

The Onan diesel powered generator, located in the Stbd aft portion of the engine room, provides 110 volt electricity while you are underway. Shore power is available to plug while at the dock.

Batteries and Switching are located on the port side of the engine room. The AC/DC breaker panel is conveniently located next to the Access Hatch. It is important to note that day to day engine room access is easy and does not require any floor panels to be moved.

Flying Bridge

The bridge is accessed via a ladder from the cockpit. A single helm chair with removable back rest sits behind the helm and provides for excellent visibility into the cockpit and across the bow. There is bench seating along both sides of the Bridge.
Engine and Bow thruster controls are on the Stbd side of the Helm pod.
There is a 3 sided canvas/Eisenglass enclosure for the bridge.
