Overview

Bi-Monthly washings, UPDATE: Sept '15, just hauled bottom painted, new zincs and running gear was also coated. This 444 Carver is a wonderful Family Cruiser, with an enclosed aft deck, plus the Bonus Feature of a 60 square foot cockpit for easy line handling and boarding. Inside, this is a Two Stateroom, Two head and shower layout with the galley down and a HUGE, Comfortable salon. Powered by twin 370 hp Volvo D6 diesel engines (560 hrs), she cruises at a respectable 20 mph and features a Bow Thruster for added maneuverability. Nice electronics package, including a Back-Up camera, SAT TV, make Cruising a pleasure. Comfortable furnishings and an opulent interior with all of the comforts of home, but without any yard work! Enjoy Yourself!!

Cockpit, Aft Deck & Fore Deck

Boarding is easy, by way of the large fiberglass swim platform. There is a storage box here, suitable for dock lines and fenders. Enter through the port side transom door and you find the surprisingly roomy cockpit, with a hot/cold transom shower, additional storage doors and a Magma cockpit grill. There is a sliding glass door (with screen) that gives direct access to the Master stateroom, plus a set of moulded in steps leading up to the aft deck.

The aft deck, with fiberglass hardtop, solid acrylic wing doors and full enclosure has built in seating and indoor-outdoor carpeting. Up stairs to the flying bridge, or down into the Salon from here.

Side deck access is safe and easy along either side of the vessel as railings and handrails are plenty. The 8' inflatable dinghy is stored on the foredeck, and the anchor windlass makes for easy anchoring.

Flying Bridge & Electronics

Tons of seating, wonderful sight lines and an intelligent helm layout. You will find all of these things on the 444 Carver bridge. There is a built in Ice Maker, nice storage options and a pedestal Helm Seat. Electronics include:

  • Ray 54 VHF Radio with MMSI number
  • Garmin GPSMap 546 chartploter
  • Rudder Position Indicator
  • Magnetic Compass
  • Bow Thruster
  • Back-up camera with screen at helm
  • RayMarine C-80 Radar/GPS Plotter/ Bottom finder
  • ITT Jabsco remote spotlight
  • Clarion CMD4A am/fm/cd stereo with Clarion Marine speakers at helm and aft deck

Also Featuring the Volvo EVC (Electronic Vessel Control) display, that includes a fuel management system and complete Engine Monitoring

  • Automatic Oil Changing system for the Engines and Generator

Salon, Galley and Dinette

Down from the Aft Deck, through a lockable door you will find the Salon. The Salon is HUGE with excellent headroom, side windows with drapes, plush carpeting and  very nice seating. The sofas offer recliners and make into a really nice sleeper. The entertainment center is located here with a Flat Screen TV mounted on a swing-arm. There is a Dish Network receiver and a Sat TV dome antenna. The TV is also set up to play sound through the Stereo speakers, very cool. The stereo is a Clarion AM/FM/CD stereo and there is a DVD player also. 

The L-Shaped galley is located in the Stbd Forward portion of the main salon, creating a Great Room feel. There are upper and lower cabinets, offering lots of storage options. Galley equipment inclides:

  • Nova Cool side by side undercounter refrigerator/freezer 
  • Black & Decker built in coffee maker
  • Toaster
  • Stainless Steel double sink
  • Sharp Carousel Convection/Microwave oven
  • Kenyon 3 burner electric stove
  • Corian Counters

The 4 person Booth-Style Dinette is located across from the Galley and offers storage below the seats. 

  • There is a Central Vacuum system located in the salon with a vacuum hose that will reach the entire interior of the Vessel.

Staterooms

The guest stateroom is forward in the boat, offering cedar lined closets, a Full berth with a hatch overhead. There is a flat screen HDTV with DVD player for this stateroom, as well as direct access to the forward Head and Shower.

The guest head and shower features a Vac-u-flush toilet, vanity with corian counter and a stand-up shower with acrylic door, and can also be accessed from the Salon. 

The Master Stateroom is located aft of the Salon and features an Island Queen berth, nice cedar lined hanging lockers, it's own Flat Screen HDTV with DVD player, plus a sliding glass door (and screen) onto the cockpit.

The Master Head and shower is larger than the guest. Featuring a Vac-u-flush toilet, corian vanity and a stand up shower with acrylic door.
