The 24 foot Sportsman model was put into production based on the success of the Chris Craft Sportsman U-22 and the prewar 25 foot Sportsman. Only 149 of the 24 foot Sportsman models were built between 1959 and 1960, a very short production run. Most of the 24 Sportsmans were built with a single-engine configuration.
This example was well-optioned with twin Chris Craft 283cid, 185hp engines. No soak replacement bottom, engines rebuilt in 2015, and fresh varnish completed in 2018, "Class of '59" is a great example that has been well maintained.
Her original black and tango red interior is in fantastic shape. This is a very sociable design that can accommodate up to 8 comfortably for cocktail cruising and entertaining!
Only 149 of these 24 Foot Sportsman's were built between the years of 1959 and 1960. This boat is somewhat unique in that it has the twin engine Chris Craft 283's which were rebuilt in 2015.
The boat also is offered with a trailer and a popular West System epoxy bottom. The boat received fresh varnish in 2018 and has an updated upholstery. This model of Chris Craft has a stellar reputation for ease of use and handling in rough seas.
It is also highly regarded for being a very sociable boat for up to 8 people with ease.
