Overview

The Cobalt 360 is the perfect day boat which can transition into the perfect boat for a get-away on your favorite body of water.  This boat will elicit more than a few stares with a radar arch that slopes forward which seems to be one continuous fluid line from the transom, flowing over the stainless steel windshield and ending with the entry of the bow.  The Cobalt 360 has a lower bridge clearance and sportier lines than a conventional express cruiser, which give it a sleek, racing style.

Built in Neodesha, Kansas, the Cobalt 360 was built by a company with over 30 years of boat building success.

lekker ding was fresh water kept until she arrived in Jacksonville, FL in October 2017. This is truly a blue water day boat that planes effortlessly and is easy to control, even in rough seas or on windy days on a lake, due to its wave slicing hull design.

2002 COBALT 360 COCKPIT

The swim platform of lekker ding is SeaDek non-skid surface, which not only adds to the overall appearance, but provides safe and comfortable access to the cockpit.  There is an integrated swim ladder on the swim platform, as well as easy to reach storage.  A stereo system control allows it to be adjusted from the swim platform.

The cockpit deck area seats 4 comfortably on the u-shape settee to starboard.  A round cocktail table, with 2 cup holders, easily attaches to the starboard settee, and keeps the cockpit deck open for feet or flip flops. The table conveniently stores beneath the deck, next to the generator. The small settee opposite creates a natural conversation area, with numerous stainless steel cup holders.

For sunning, there are two aft sun pads, with innovative back rests that recline for sunning, or are upright to provide a seat back for the settees.  A third settee, opposite the helm, provides the perfect place to enjoy the scenery or visit with the captain.  The captain can either sit or lean on the fold-back helm seat.

There is ample various sized storage areas beneath all of the settee cushions, which are easily removed. The storage compartments near the swim platform are perfect for stowing the spare anchor.

A refrigerator/freezer is beneath the wet bar?s stainless steel sink and Corian counter top for convenient cockpit entertaining.  The removable cockpit carpet provides comfort for your guests as well as easy deck cleaning.  The stars printed on the navy carpet really add a decorator touch.

2002 COBALT 360 HELM AND FORWARD DECK

The black leather dash with burled wood trim has a leather tilt wheel, indicators for the auto retract trim tabs, Zero-Effort controls, and conveniently mounted gauges and electronics.  A Garmin 3010C provides the necessary navigational information.

The windshield provides a clear line of sight, and is center opening with a fold down step in the dash, and a bow scuff plate, to get to the forward deck.  A custom blue and white sun pad attaches to the rails on the forward deck, and provides more room for sunning.  The anchor locker hides the low-profile Maxwell windlass and anchor roller, which can be operated from either the deck or the helm.

There is a smoked glass sliding door with an integrated screen door from the helm into the cabin below.

2002 COBALT 360 ENGINE ROOM

The engine room hatch is aft of the helm settees, and hydraulically lifts for easy access.  A clever tool kit is mounted on the hatch's underside, which aids in any routine adjustments necessary.  Outfitted with upgraded 4 blade props, there is a centerline compartment under the helm deck which houses the 5KW generator, which was new in 2016, and the two 87 gallon fuel tanks.  There is also a battery charger.

lekker ding is powered by twin 496ci Mercruiser providing 425hp each, about 835 hours each.

2002 COBALT 360 HULL

The Cobalt 360 was built with a fiberglass stringer system, which is Kevlar reinforced.  This hand laid hull provides impact resistance 10 times greater than conventional fiberglass, at less than half the weight.  The deck and hull include AME 1000 vinylester resins that provide added strength.

The white and navy blue hull of lekker ding, offset by red accents, gives this Cobalt 360 a sharp style and appearance.

The bottom was freshly painted in November 2017.

2002 COBALT 360 GALLEY

The galley is located below deck, down two navy blue carpeted steps to port.  Its compact design includes a permanently mounted wood cutting board, a stainless steel sink, and galley storage behind the curved cabinetry.  There is enough room to mount a small microwave or add a small refrigerator/freezer within the highly polished cabinetry.

The countertop is Zodiaq, a material from Dupont that blends real stone with Corian.  It eliminates some of the cracking that can occur in granite surfaces, while providing an upscale contemporary look.

There is a teak and holly sole in the galley area, which compliments the beautiful wood doors and cabinetry.

2002 COBALT 360 HEAD

The head is opposite the galley, to starboard, behind a beautiful curved wood door.  It includes a concealed VacuFlush MSD with a fitted pad on the lid, a Corian counter with sink, an opening port light with Ultrasuede curtain, and storage.

2002 COBALT 360 SALON

The cabinet mounted AM/FM/CD stereo system is also to starboard across from the galley.  A cedar lined hanging locker and two storage drawers are beneath the stereo cabinet.

There is a V-shaped Ultraleather settee and convertible dinette table, over navy blue carpeting on the deck, providing a perfect view of the mounted flat screen TV.  An interchangeable table leg converts it from a dinette table, to the base of a V-berth.  Two coordinating pads complete the conversion, which provides additional sleeping space.

Both cushions of the settee are easily removed and reveal large, deep storage areas.

There is excellent ventilation provided by four opening port lights with Ultrasuede curtains and two opening half circle hatches, as well as one opening full round hatch.

2002 COBALT 360 ACCOMODATIONS

A double berth is located under the helm deck for an overnight get-away, comfortable enough for two people.  It includes a mounted flat screen TV, a full mirrored wall, a smoked glass window which looks out into the helm, an opening port light with Ultrasuede curtain, and storage.

2002 COBALT 360 ELECTRONICS AND ELECTRICAL

Entertainment is provided by an AM/FM/CD stereo system with Polk Audio speakers, controllable by remote.

Shore power is provided by dual 30amp connections, and there is a Kohler 5kw generator, new in 2016.

A Garmin 3010C provides navigational information.

2002 COBALT 360 CANVAS COVERS

There is both a navy blue full cockpit cover for storage, as well as a full camper canvas enclosure for use while underway, anchored out, or docked at a marina.  The navy canvas bimini and radar arch canvas provide shade for the cockpit.
