Overview
PHASE 2 was designed by renowned naval architect Doug Peterson, and built in 1979 by Jeremy Rogers Limited in Lymington, England. Her construction includes unidirectional glass with 6 longitudinal stringers and massive glass floor timbers. The chainplates tie into the hull via a massive box structure. The strength of her construction was well tested and proven having completed the infamous 1979 Fastnet Race with no damage. Then again in 1981 with a rough Atlantic crossing from England via the Bay Of Biscayne, the Azores, Bahamas, and on to New Orleans - with no problems or damage.
Overall winner of the 1986 YRA PHRO Offshore Series. Participant in the 1979 Fastnet Race. 1984 Pacific Cup, San Francisco to Hawaii.
