Overview

This efficient and economical 30’ Custom Center Console, was built in 2015 in Guayacanes, Dominican Republic, at the boat yard of Hans Schifferdecker, Naval Architect and Engineer, and under the supervision of 50-year Veteran Sports fishing Captain and owner of the boat, along with his partner, a contractor and structural engineer.

The basic boat was laid up in a 26 mold, lengthened to 30'. The freeboard was also raised 24 to allow the boat to be self-bailing, and still allow the gunnel height to be a minimum of 24' standard above-the-knee

The boat features an in-the-console Raritan Marine Head, a four-battery electrical system, and all wiring, breakers, and switches inside the console.

There is a huge 6" X 10' Tee Top with molded fiberglass top, to insure more than adequate shade. Clear Eisenglass weather curtains enclose the helm area, which features a tilt steering wheel, gauges and single lever controls. Power is provided by a matched pair of counter-rotating Yamaha F-115 Four stroke outboards with 800 hrs.

All maintenance has been performed by the owner at the specified factory specifications. The motors sport a pair of Doelfin-type cavitation plate fins, and SS skeg protectors. The boat is exceptionally economical, burning only 2GPH at trolling speeds, and only 10GPH at 22knts. Clean fuel is delivered to the engines by way of twin Racor 10 micron fuel/water separators, located inside a large access hatch below the engine splash well.

The boat has a large bowsprit with anchor-handling roller, hawse hole and anchor locker, holding 1.200 of 5/8" three strand nylon anchor rope.

A custom designed and fabricated, 6 tined grapnel SS anchor, made from 5/8" round stock is attached to 10' of SS anchor chain. There are two storage lockers in the bow, along with a large 3X 3' hatch forward, with a huge storage area under.

The large console holds the Furuno FCV 295 5Kw depth finder paired to a "shoot-thru-the-hull Airmar multi-frequency transponder, covering 16Khz to 200Khz, and Garmin 1040XS plotter/gps/sonar.

There is a comfortable Ss leaning post aft of the console with five SS integral custom rod holders.

The 25 Carbon Fiber outriggers are held in the T-Top, along with a center outrigger, insuring 100% open fish around layout.

There is a 150gal thru the hull live well located directly underneath the leaning post.

The boat fishes extremely well as evidenced by the exceptional numbers of gamefish caught by this fishing machine, custom designed and built over more than a one year period of time to the owners exacting specifications.
