This Junk was designed and built to discover the beauty of Ha Long Bay in Vietnam.
It was part of a fleet of 22 custom built Vietnamese Junks, especially designed to provide a private and very individual experience.
Each vessel explores a fusion between local Vietnamese heritage with 4-star quality amenities that you would find in any shore-based higher end accommodation.
All vessels contain a double 4-star hotel room with a balcony/swim platform at the aft and en-suite bathroom with toilet, shower and wardrobe. Crew (or kids!) and owners quarters are separated for maximum privacy and service.
The sun deck, on top of the vessel, is traditionally and tastefully fitted out and decorated with tropical hard wood and deck loungers. Also located on the sun deck are the open kitchen and food & Beverage area, which is covered by a fixed sunroof.
This unique concept with a very specific Asian look fits everywhere in Asia's stunning environments or beyond
This unique Junk was part of a floating resort that was designed and built to discover the
beauty of Ha Long Bay in Vietnam.
This fleet contains 22 custom built Vietnamese Junks, especially designed to provide a private and very individual experience.
Now each vessel is for sale and explores a fusion between local Vietnamese heritage
with modern day, exclusive yacht building standard that results in a unique and limited edition vessel.
The yacht contains a large, private owners cabin with a
balcony/swim platform at the aft and en-suite bathroom with toilet, shower and
wardrobe. The Crew cabin is separated from the owners cabin for maximum privacy and
service. However, this crew cabin can also be used as great Kids quarters.
The sun deck, on top of the vessel, is traditionally and
tastefully fitted out and decorated with tropical hard wood and deck loungers.
Also located on the sun deck are the open kitchen and food & Beverage area,
which is covered by a fixed sunroof.
The Junk is built in steel under Vietnamese class (Vietnam
Register).
All used steel is approved by Bureau Veritas and overall
classification by Bureau Veritas is prepared and can be applied for if
required.
The Junk has a lifting keel, providing a draft 1.95 m and
only 0.9 m when lifted. With the keel down, the vessel performs well under
sail, while with the keel up, shallow and remote destinations can be reached,
providing great possibilities and variety in the fleet's sailing area.
The hull was sandblasted and coated in a mutual layer paint
system for protection against corrosion. Recently the vessel has been repainted and 2 new layers of anti-fouling have been applied.
All through hull fittings are welded.
A manual anchor winch is installed on the fore deck.
The vessel is equipped with the following engine for propulsion:
Weichei / Deutz TD226B-4C2 turbo charged marine diesel engine
Rated output: 75 kW (100 Hp)
RPM max: 2100
RPM cruise: 1300
Connected to propeller shaft and fixed pitch propeller by
gearbox.
Engine, gearbox and propeller shaft are well accessible for
service and maintenance through hatches in the floor of the owners cabin.
Where most current Junks, built for cruising, are rigged for decoration purposes only, this vessel is actually designed to sail.
The combination of hull shape, lifting keel and junk rig make
the vessel perform well under sail.
The Junk rig contains three steel masts with bamboo booms in
the sails. To increase the sailing performance, the currents sails should be replaced.
The standing rigging is a combination of stainless steel
shrouds with traditional wooden spanners.
Installed navigation / communication instruments on board:
Furuno GPS Navigator GP-32
ICOM VHF 50 W radio
Magnetic Compass
All instruments are installed at the open bridge before the
main mast.
For power supply (230 V), the vessel is equipped with a Generator:
Brand: Kipor
Capacity: 48 kW @ 50 Hz
RPM: 3000
Situated on for deck, away from the owners area, in a sound and
vibration proof cover and well accessible for service and maintenance.
In addition a set of house batteries provides 12V DC when the vessel is in low power mode.

4 Life Rings
7 Life Jackets

5 Portable CO2 Fire Extinguishers
