Overview
On the market for only the second time since launching, Varuna is an exceptional example of a CCA era yawl built with the strength of aluminum by Robert E. Derecktor, one of the best in the business. Impeccably maintained and updated over the years, she offers years of comfortable cruising and classic racing pleasure for her next owner. Attractively priced and fully commissioned in the water, she is ready to go and easily inspected.
Accommodations
Sleeps up to seven in traditional cruising layout; chain locker forward followed by a large vee berth with filler piece for double conversion; the head is next aft to port and contains a Wilcox "Skipper" head with 30 gallon holding tank with Y-valve and deck pump out; hanging lockers opposite the head; the main saloon contains upper pilot berth and lower transom berths port and starboard with a gimballed centerline drop leaf table.
Superb ventilation from 5 dorades, 8 Spartan bronze opening ports, and a Nico solar vent. The nav station is next aft port with a quarter berth aft; the galley is opposite. Varuna's interior is nicely finished in varnished mahogany, teak and white paint with a solid varnished teak cabin sole. Superb storage throughout in many lockers, drawers and shelves.
