Overview

Built with German engineering by the Dübbel and Jesse shipyard, she was originally built for a very experienced and hands-on owner. Songbird has a marine-grade aluminum hull, not very common in the market for a yacht of her size, which makes her an excellent proposition: a light and strong cruiser, capable of undertaking long voyages in all conditions. Songbird was built and designed to be able to be sailed with minimal crew if desired, which also makes her a perfect fit for an owner-operator.

Built with German engineering by the Dübbel and Jesse shipyard, she was originally built for a very experienced and hands-on owner. Songbird has a marine-grade aluminum hull, not very common in the market for a yacht of her size, which makes her an excellent proposition: light and strong cruiser, capable of undertaking long voyages in all conditions. Songbird was built and designed to be able to be sailed with the minimal crew if desired, which also makes her a perfect fit for an owner-operator.

Upon entering the vessel, the social cockpit area is easily accessible from the deck. The full-beam salon has large oval sized windows allowing natural light to highlight the impressive joinery in the interior. The galley is efficient and modern with granite countertops. On deck, before and aft of the mast is a recessed area for sunbathing. The garage aft is accessible through a hatch in the deck and a large hydraulic door. The garage door functions as a swim platform as well as a launching pad for the dinghy.

Songbird has been well-maintained and has benefitted from various refits, including all-new 15mm teak decking in 2013. Her technical and navigation equipment has been upgraded throughout her ownership, as well as all-new rigging in 2008 (with yearly inspections since) and sail wardrobe upgraded 2013 to 2016.
