"Velos" is a well maintained 1982 Hatteras 53 motor yacht, and an outstanding example of Hatteras quality in both design and build and fit and finish.
Equipped with a bow thruster as well as twin Detroit Diesel 435s, "Velos" is easily maneuvered in tight spots and cruises at a comfortable 15 knots. She is equipped with a GPS/chartplotter as well as radar.
This vessel has been stored under cover even when in the water for most of its life - this has provided a much greater degree of protection than would otherwise have been possible and accounts for the boat's very good presentation.
The boat easily sleeps six in three separate staterooms. There is a generous galley with some up-to-date appliances, three heads, and plenty of room throughout. All living and relaxing areas are air-conditioned.
Interior furniture is modern and the walls haven't been papered or painted, allowing the Hatteras craftmanship to shine through.
With her bright, wide, clean decks, lovely interior, comfortable living spaces and classic lines, "Velos" is a fantastic example of a Hatteras motor yacht.
Note that this boat needs a generator, an oven/cooktop for the galley, and a hot water heater - these costs have been taken into account when determining sale price.
Seller has recently repowered and rechromed the electric windlass and added underwater lights off the stern, replaced the galley fridge with a new built-in model, and repaired the ice maker. Repair list items are being handled on an ongoing basis, including repair of soft spot on the deck of the flybridge, hot water heater, install of galley stove/range, and generator replacement. As these repairs are made, the asking price of the vessel will be adjusted accordingly. Current asking price is firm.
