Overview

Best value 74’ Hatteras on the market! Master stateroom is aft with private entrance from the main salon. The VIP is mid ship with queen berth, the two forward cabins both have single berths for more versatility and the galley is up. The large cockpit gives great access to the water for using the tender and for boarding from floating docks.

Main Deck

This pilothouse motor yacht with galley up has an enormous main salon with light wood interior to brighten and enlarge the feeling of spaciousness. The pilothouse has a recent teak and holly floor, a large bench seat and sliding doors to port and starboard.

Aft of the pilothouse is the on deck galley with dinette to one side and large counter space to port. The updated refrigerator is a full size two door model and all of the appliances are full size units, the same styles as in a house and has the same teak and holly flooring as the pilothouse. Large windows both over the sink to port and over the dinette to starboard allow ample light into the galley plus present a great view.

 

Hatteras has always been known for their large open main salon, often with a full beam to increase the feeling of size. The white décor with large windows to both side and aft give a feeling of a larger yacht. There is ample seating for family and friends. An interesting design feature is the dining table of custom cut glass. It was installed partly over the private stairs leading into the aft master stateroom allowing lots of room for dining but not taking too much space from the salon. To starboard and aft is an “L” shaped sofa with large cocktail table and opposite are two large overstuffed leather chairs with ottomans. A built in entertainment center with flat screen TV, DVD player and sound system is next to a built in bar area.

Master Stateroom

The master stateroom is aft with a private entrance from the main salon to give much more privacy for guests and the owner. The centerline berth is centerline with full walk around and has two nightstands with lamps. Built in bureaus to both sides have plentiful storage combined with a huge walk in cedar closet. The ensuite head has Corian countertops, a whirlpool tub and good lighting and storage space.

Guest Staterooms

Entrance to the three guest staterooms is from a stairway from the pilothouse. The VIP is amidships with a walk around queen berth and a sitting area with couch to port. The ensuite oversized head has a stall shower and large Corian counter.

Guest Stateroom Three

This stateroom has twin berths for extra versatility for guests or family and has a head and shower across the hall. This head is used as the day head for guest also.

Bow Stateroom

When crew is on board this cabin is usually used by the crew but without crew it is a great cabin for kids or guests with upper and lower bunk style beds. This is often referred to as the grandchildren’s room with its own ensuite head and shower.

Flybridge

Access to the flybridge is from the pilothouse.

Just a few years before this Hatteras was built the flybridge design was much narrower. The design always had walk around areas outside of the seating too both sides, but on this yacht the flybridge seating area is extended out to the sides just aft of the helm seat to give a very large entertainment area. This is large enough for the present hot tub which the new owner can easily enjoy or remove.

Behind the helm seat is a large wet bar with refrigerator, and icemaker and plentiful storage.

There is wrap around bench seating for multiple guests with a large Bimini top for shade. Aft is a 2001 14 foot Novurania 430 DL hard bottom inflatable dinghy with 50 HP Yamaha 4 stroke engine.

Deck

Like many other Hatteras motor yachts of this vintage a large cockpit was added many years ago by Hatteras of Lauderdale. This addition totally increases the desirability of the boat to give the owners and guests great access to the water. The cockpit makes an incredible difference for ease of boarding the boat from floating docks, line handling, boarding the dinghy and swimming from the boat. Plus hydraulic controls for the engines and gear shifts make backing into a slip much easier. A custom ladder was installed on the boat from the cockpit to the top deck so when launching the tender it is easier to get to the boat deck.

Mechanical

The main engines are Detroit Diesel 12V92TA engines with 950 hours on meter since major overhaul in a walk in engine room. Many similar Hatteras motor yachts have engines rooms to the sides with a walk through hallway but this boat has a walk in engine room with a door from the stairs from the salon and another door from the VIP cabin.
