Overview
The Hatteras 36 Sedan is basically the same boat as the Hatteras 36 Convertible, but with a larger interior and smaller cockpit dimensions. The hull construction is solid fiberglass, and the hull is designed with moderate beam, a shallow keel, and prop pockets. This Hatteras Sedan is laid out with a dinette floor plan with a single stateroom. The head compartment is very large and includes a separate stall shower. The interior is finished with traditional teak woodwork throughout, and it’s notable that a lower helm option was never offered. While the salon is quite roomy for a 36-footer, the cockpit has a great layout for fishing with the family or your buddies. Additional features include a big flybridge, good engine access, and fairly wide side decks. Powered by twin Caterpillar 3208s.
Introduction
At 26,000 lb., the 36 Hatteras Sedan is a rock solid single stateroom, galley down, dinette cruising boat capable of comfortable operation when most boats are weathered in at the dock. Irrespective of age, the top quality, long lasting Hatteras fit and finish shines through not to mention the integrity of the well engineered, long lived, mechanical systems Hatteras is noted for.
Vessel Walkthrough & Accommodations
Upon entering the Salon through the double Sliding Glass doors, one finds a very comfortable Salon with matching reclining love seats to port and starboard. There are two bar stools for service at the breakfast bar style countertop overlooking the Galley. Just to the starboard in the Salon is a wet bar with ice maker and bottle storage. Going forward down two steps, the Galley is to port and two more steps down is a U-shaped convertible Dinette to starboard. The Dinette is very spacious and has lots of storage underneath and a custom mattress to sleep two in comfort. Forward of the galley and still to port is a very large head with enclosed stall shower and Vacuflush Marine. V-berths occupy the forepeak. The entire boat is very tastefully decorated.
Galley
The Galley is two steps down and forward to port of the Salon. There is a 3 burner Galley Maid cooktop, Litton Microwave, SS sink and ample counter and storage space. The GE double door refrigerator/freezer is to starboard. There is a large lift up storage area in the Galley sole.
