Updates - Upgrades

1. The bottom was ground down (over 300 blisters) fared over with fiberglass.

2. 2 coats of bottom paint - ($2200 using the best quality)

3. New zincs just put on the shafts and other places on the bottom new trim tab hinges and screws

4. The boat was completely rewired by Inlet Marine Services. He spent 10 days on it fulll time while I was there.

5. Two head pumps - galley maid - master and forward were rebuilt.

6. The transmission had a new main seal put on (cost $8500)

7. The port engine was completely rebuilt including new turbos ($27,000)

8. New convection/microwave oven

9. New glass top stove top (to be installed)

10. New sea cocks

11. New bilge pumps for starboard and generator area

12. New carpet will be installed

13. New transponder that is connected to the GPS system

14. Rails were sanded already to varnish or oil

15. New large anchor (Danfort) a really good anchor that is rated high and is for an 80 foot boat. 

16. Fuel tanks emptied and cleaned and new fuel (July 2015)

The Hatteras 58 Yacht Fisherman is essentially a 53 Motor Yacht with the addition of a 5-foot cockpit extension. She has enjoyed a long and very successful production run and recently had port side engine rebuilt. The 58 is a very versatile and great handling boat with excellent cruising range. Belowdecks, her three-stateroom, galley down floorplan is the same as the the 53 MY with the helm open to the salon and separate walk-in engine rooms. The aft deck is sheltered by a bridge overhang and fitted with wing doors for wind and spray protection.
