Overview
Are you looking for a vessel that will stand out on the water? This 36
Manatee is #87 of 99 ever built and is the center of attention wherever
she is encountered. Granted, her appearance is unconventional, when you
see her you can't help but smile and once you get to know her you can't
help but like her.
She is the most spacious 36 foot
boasting abundant area for entertaining, 6'5" ceilings, large
galley, single stateroom, and an unbelievable amount of storage. She
has a 150hp Volvo diesel engine that has only 2630 hours since her
installation in 1998. She has a bow thruster, generator, reverse
cycle heat and air, Osprey Marine Composite bottom job, and recent
canvas. She has a full-cored hull solidly constructed with a wide
beam, a relatively deep keel that protects her running gear, and
hard chines that keep her stable at anchor and underway. She is
economical to operate, functional, comfortable, and safe - perfect
for a solo cruiser yet large enough for a couple.
This is YOUR chance to own a legend!
Walk Through Description
The teak aft deck is easily accessible though doors on either side. It is fully enclosed with a hinged table on the transom extending your living and entertaining space to the outdoors. As you enter through the double sliding wooden door through the bulkhead all you will think is WOW! Bigger than it looks on the outside the openness will take you by surprise.
The salon is full-beam and spacious with it's aft placement. It has two loungers to starboard, a convertible U-shaped settee and hi-lo drop leaf dining table to port. Large screened sliding windows provide ample natural light and ventilation. Removable hatches in the salon open providing easy access to the engine room for daily checks and maintenance.
The U-shaped galley is to port with a new refrigerator, ample storage and counter space, a sliding window, and screened hatch overhead. The galley is open between the upper and lower cabinets to the salon for an open feel.
To the starboard is the head with stall shower, electric flush toilet and mirrored sink and vanity. There is a screened sliding window and screened hat overhead for added light and ventilation.
As you head forward to the stateroom there is one small step. Once you enter you will be meet a center-line berth with a custom hinged mattress. It is flanked by built in nightstands and seats. It is well lit with four opening port-lights, a screened hatch overhead, and a lighted and mirrored vanity aft to starboard. Storage is not lacking with an over-sized L-shaped storage locker aft to port. The unique shape of the hull allows for a roomy feel.
Back on the "back porch" you will find a six-step ladder to starboard that leads through a hatch to the top deck. Immediately aft you will find the Magma grill, dinghy chocks, aluminum folding mast (making boat 23' when up and 15' when down), boom, and mechanical winch.
As you continue forward there is a hardtop pilot house easily accessible from either side with forward facing windshield and new canvas surrounds making it comfortable in all weather conditions. The flybridge pilot house features the helm station and helm seat forward and a u-shaped, cushioned bench with dining table to aft. Through the centerline hinged windshield you gain direct access to the foredeck. The steps have a custom cushion doubling as additional seating. To the port and starbord of the steps there are hatches that access spacious storage areas that pass through to cabinets beneath the helm. On the forward deck there is an electric windlass with two anchors.
