Overview
From a German Frers design S/Y VIRIELLA is the pearl of Maxi Dolphin's production line ranging from 65" up to 118" for semi-custom boats. This 118" sloop was built from composite material by the Erbusco Boatyard in 2001 and has a carbon fibre boom and mast by Southern Spars.
The sail plan and the entire rigging have been designed to make handling the yacht as easy as possible; a crew of four is sufficient to comfortably cruise with VIRIELLA. The retractable bulb keel can be adjusted for a maximum draft of 5.50 metres and a minimum of 3.50 metres when sailing in shallow waters. Besides the 550 hp main engine, VIRIELLA also has at her disposal a 130 hp auxiliary engine which supplies power to the hydraulic circuit that handles the fin piston, the sail plan rigging and the stern hatch as well as extra power when maneuvering, if necessary.
The very modern and stylish interior has been designed by Maxi Dolphin and is based on maximum simplicity. The interior layout is centred on a forward sleeping area which includes the large owner's cabin with its annexed studio, two double guest cabins and one guest cabin with three beds. The deckhouse saloon and dining room make for an extremely comfortable living area. The crew quarters, two cabins and a bathroom, are located in the stern area.
