Originally built for the Boxer Family of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, the "Regoda" was a custom design built by Minett-Shields Boatworks of Muskoka, Ontario.
A renowned tier-one Canadian custom builder, Minett-Shields built some of the finest boats of the time, which remain highly collectible to this day.
At 27 feet in length, this triple cockpit is a blend between traditional displacement launches of the time, and more modern runabout designs. All mahogany construction, egg-crate ventilated floors, custom hardware, and high attention to detail make this boat an attractive piece to add to your permanent collection.
The Minett boat building operation is deeply entrenched in the Muskoka region of Ontario. The company was formed in 1910 and later was reborn under the name of Minett-Shields in 1925 after a partnership with Bryson Shields.
The company ceased operation in 1948 but only after putting out approximately 200 Launches and Runabouts which were all noted for their fine craftsmanship. This particular Minett is a fine example of Minett-Shields work.
It is a 27 foot Launch built in 1936 and has a lattice "Muskoka" floor, gorgeous compartments, and attention to detail throughout. It is powered by a Chrysler 6 cylinder 130HP engine which is original to the boat. It is structurally sound after receiving great care from it's current owner of 20 years. The chrome is perfect and the interior is rich looking and gorgeous.
The boat in our opinion would survey out very strongly and needs nothing. The boat was originally built for the Boxer family. The boat is offered without a trailer but one could be used for transport.
