Overview

ARK ANGEL Is a 55m (180.4ft) yacht that started life as the 52m Japanese maritime cadet training vessel TAISHU MARU, built by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and delivered in 1978.

She underwent her conversion in 2000, and has been extensively refitted and refined in 2004, 2009 and 2011. All of these have been carried out by the skilled hands of Harbour Yacht Services, a yard with a proven track record of converting commercial vessels into superyachts.

Styled inside and out by HYS with echoes of the Philippines in the beautifully crafted hardwoods within, only her sheerline now hints at her academic past. Today she presents as an elegantly appointed yacht with a long list of highly desirable features. These include two helipads – a 1.2-tonne touch-and-go pad forward and a 3.0-tonne pad aft complete with refuelling capability – accommodation for up to 16 guests in 8 cabins, four Quantum zero speed stabilisers and a bulbous bow that improves hull efficiency, giving this yacht an unmatched range of 12,000nm.

The helipad serves as a versatile entertaining area and forward of it is a jacuzzi surrounded by sun pads, walk-up bar and a sun lounging area forward of that with excellent elevated views.

Her bridge deck has a generously sized shaded al fresco dining area aft with day head. Steps lead down to the upper deck, which has another huge entertaining space aft including a fully-equipped walk-up bar.
Moving forward there is a guest cabin, dining area and lounge with an outsized owner’s suite forward with bath and shower.

There are five further cabins on the main deck, including the VIP suite, just aft of the tender garage with shell doors, and a second spacious VIP cabin on the lower deck.

ARK ANGEL is lying in Subic Bay, Philippines, ready for inspection. With the number of exceptional features she has, she represents excellent value.
