Overview

It is said the two best days in boat ownership are the day you get it and the day you get rid of it. That sentiment could be no further from the truth in the case of 'Lollygagger'. Her owners, filled with sadness at the thought of going ashore, have decided to sell their well loved and expertly maintained Ocean Alexander Classicco 423, 'Lollygagger'. As I read through the log books and guest books I could not help but feel envious of the good times had by all aboard this most excellent vessel. She is a veteran of the great loop and to hear the owners recount salty sea stories puts you in the mood to take in all lines and venture out into uncharted life. Some boats come with a long list of features, some come with an adventurous, storied past. Lollygagger has both and she looks to and fro for her next family to carry out to sea. A balmy breeze, the world slowly going by, and all at once it hits you, "we did it, our dreams are reality, our adventure of a lifetime is happening now."

Lollygagger has had extensive upgrade, and rebuild work done to her including new electronics, new hoses and thru hulls, major bottom work, and both main engines were professionally rebuilt in 2014 and have 700 hours since completion. Over $120,000 has been wisely invested in Lollygagger.

If you wish you could find that special boat, you know the one that has those classic lines, and a great pedigree, then you need to buy Lollygagger. Don't risk your hard earned money on a "great deal, just needs a little work" kind of boat. 42' Ocean Alexander Accommodations

Lollygagger is a comfortable boat that has plenty of room for entertaining friends and family. It has a built in red leather couch along the starboard side that turns along the aft bulkhead. There is a setee in the center that converts from a dining table to a coffee table. moving forward the galley is to port one step down from the main salon. Further down below is the head to starboard with a large shower, head and sink vanity. There is nice cabinetry throughout. The forward v berth is stacked with one bunk over the other in a v pattern. This allows for wider individual bunks. There is a large hanging locker in this berthing area.

Going aft from the salon leads to the master stateroom. There are large hanging lockers on the forward bulkhead and multiple built in drawers line the starboard side. There are built in end tables on either side of the queen size bed. A built in vanity with a pull out seat is along the aft bulkhead. Built in drawers go along the port side and terminate at the head door. The head is roomy with a good size shower and counter top area.

The flybridge area is one of the hightlights of the boat. Egress is simplified by a three step ladder leading from the boat deck to the flybridge. A large L shaped setee with a table goes along the port side and the aft portion of the bridge. Two comfortable chairs sit at the helm where electronics are logically placed, and  well organized. Visibilty is excellent with tall eisenglass terminating into an aluminum framed custom hardtop fabricated by the current owner. The three front eisenglas panels are being replaced and will be installed soon.

42' Ocean Alexander Galley

The galley on Lollygagger is terrific. A two stool bar separates the galley from the salon. There is ample counter and bar space. The counter tops are granite tile, the sink is a large stainless steel sink and the stove is a Princess Gourmet II 3 burner glass top stove. There is a Norcold refrigerator and a Uline ice maker, a Black and Decker toaster oven and a Mr. Coffee coffee maker. There is a large storage area under the galley floor for storage of dry goods.
