Overview

Oceanus is a classic 1988 50' Ocean Alexander raised pilothouse trawler.  She offers three staterooms, interior stairs to the flybridge from the pilothouse, bow thruster, propellers reconditioned in 2017, 2 new 100 amp alternators and new batteries in 2016, fuel polishing system, water maker, new icemaker and water heater in 2016, bottom painted and new refrigerator/freezer and 3000 watt inverter in 2015, new carpet and granite countertops in 2014. The sellers just completed the Great Loop and Downeast Loop and moved ashore to spend time with family, so Oceanus is now ready for her next cruise.

50' Ocean Alexander Vessel Walkthrough

Entering the salon through the sliding teak & glass aft doors, you will find a sofa and table to port, galley port forward, lounge chairs and storage cabinet to starboard and wetbar starboard forward. The steps to the raised pilothouse are starboard forward. In the pilothouse, you will find interior stairs to the flybridge and an L-shaped benchseat with table to port, full helm forward and a starboard side deck access door. The stairs to the guest stateroom are starboard forward.  Engine room access is through the lazarette deck hatch in the aftdeck or a sole hatch in the galley.

The headroom in the salon and pilothouse is 6'5", 6'10" on the flybridge, 6'3" in the master stateroom, 6'5" in the master stateroom shower, 6'4" in the guest staterooms and 6'2" in the guest head.  The master stateroom berth is 7'4" long, the port guest stateroom berth is 6'8" long, the starboard guest stateroom upper berth is 5'10" long and the lower berth is 6'4" long.

50' Ocean Alexander Accommodations

Oceanus offers three staterooms. The master stateroom is forward and offers a centerline queen size berth and ensuite head with enclosed shower. The port guest stateroom offers a queen size berth and the starboard guest stateroom offers over/under bunks. The guest staterooms share a head to starboard.

50' Ocean Alexander Salon

The salon offers an L-shaped sofa (Recovered in 2014) and hi/lo teak & glass table to port, galley port forward, wetbar starboard forward, lounge chairs and storage cabinet to starboard, sliding teak & glass aft doors with a screen, custom drapes, carpet (2014) over teak & holly sole and opening side windows with screens. There is also a built-in electric heater for the salon (Separate from the main air conditioning/heating system). The wetbar includes a stainless steel sink, icemaker and granite countertop (2014).

The port guest stateroom offers a queen size berth, 2 portlights with blinds, hanging locker, storage drawers, reading lights, carpet and a full length mirror. The guest head is starboard forward in the foyer.

The starboard guest stateroom offers over/under bunks, hanging locker, storage drawers, 2 portlights with blinds, carpet, reading lights and a full length mirror. The guest head is starboard forward in the foyer.

The flybridge offers a hinged Radar arch, bimini, full helm forward with electronics as described in the electronics section, bowthruster control, trim tabs control, benchseat with storage on each side, Todd helm seat and teak deck forward and non-skid deck aft on the boat deck.

The aftdeck is covered by the flybridge deck and a canvas extension. It also offers a transom door to the swimplatform, teak deck and cap rails, teak and stainless steel ladder to the flybridge, deck table and 2 chairs, Magma stainless steel BBQ grill, lazarette and engine room access, side deck access and sliding double teak and glass doors to the salon. There is also a shade screen.
