The Ultimate performance cruising yacht incorporating an intelligent and voluminous interior arrangement by NAUTA Yacht Design in a high tech advanced composite carbon epoxy structure. The Master cabin is forward and full beam with excellent natural light and ventilation. This includes a King size island berth with a double settee on starboard side and desk/makeup table with lifting TV, forward on port side. There are hull ports allowing light in on both sides and 2 large opening deck hatches. Double hanging lockers are on port and starboard with ample drawers and locker storage. A safe is installed as well as a hidden rifle rack. The owner's cabin has an amazingly spacious ambiance with exceptional headroom. The Master en suite bathroom is forward and features Lalique crystal fixtures, double sinks in Travertine, Tecma head, and a bath tub /shower to port.
A privacy door accesses the owner's study/office on starboard with bar fridge and icemaker plus a large desk and chair with open headroom into Saloon area.

The Saloon is up 3 steps and includes superb visibility on 3 sides while lounging or dining. U shaped settee lounge area to starboard and large dining table with room for 8 to port. The large saloon windows have an outside shade/UV protection screen. A large 42" flat screen HD TV is fitted in the saloon with surround sound home movie system.

Crew accommodations are aft in area of the hull that has ample volume and space. This allows for a large galley, 2 nice crew cabins, 2 heads with showers and a central crew mess. A separate dedicated navigation area with electronics and the ship's electrical panel is forward in this area.
This layout design has proven to be very successful with many modern yachts having a similar arrangement with crew living aft near the mechanical and operation areas of the yacht while the owner's area remains forward away from daily wear and tear. Additionally the owner/guest cabins are located well away from the noise of the winches and mechanical systems and in the part of the yacht with maximum headroom.
ENGINE ROOM | |
The Engine room is located under the raised saloon and accessed from a watertight door aft of saloon. Fire and Acoustic protection using rock-wool and lead sound sheeting to 80mm thickness painted white.
All machinery is mounted on vibration dampeners. Bulkheads through passages are made with a watertight "soft patch" into the saloon for major mechanical work requiring the removal of main equipment.
HULL CONSTRUCTION | |
The Yacht's hull is built on a female mould, infused with SP Systems epoxy resin. Sandwich construction with Kevlar and GRP outer skin, Core-Cell foam core vacuum bagged and carbon fibre inner skin for a strong, light and stiff structure. 14 Bulkheads are Carbon fibre sandwich with 6 watertight bulkheads. All areas of hull penetration are solid laminate structures.
Deck structure is built on a female mould vacuum and bagged and infused Carbon laminates the inner and outer skins with a foam core. Carbon / e-glass structural beam network between bulkheads.
The Deckhouse is built of carbon fibre.
Hull is finished with epoxy fairing compound and Awlgrip white paint. Decks are also Awlgrip painted and applied with 13mm teak decking.
Yacht was built to RINA A-1 classification and complies with the Maltese commercial yacht code which is based on the UK MCA Large yacht code.

14. COMMENTS |
|
Delivered in 2007 RAPTURE is the archetypal blue water cruising yacht, fast around the racecourse (she’s seen more than 17 knots on the speedo upwind and lopes along easily at 12 knots in just 15 knots of breeze), but equally suitable for a tropical circumnavigation with her spacious air-conditioned deckhouse and bluewater cruising build specification. Benefiting from only two Owners since new, she has been maintained extremely well with frequent refits and regular maintenance, and only recently completed a substantial refit in Winter 2017/2018 in Auckland, New Zealand. RAPTURE also benefits from recent upgrades to her rigging (2015 & 2016), recent paint (Winter 2014/15) and sails (2015), and her next 5-year special survey is now not due until May 2021. Having now completed his round-the-world trip, which was the reason for his purchase, RAPTURE’s current Owner has now finished his use of this sleek vessel and shipped her back from NZ to the Med for immediate sale. She represents the perfect turn-key package for an Owner looking to make that dream trip with his or her family and friends |
