Overview

PRICE REDUCED AGAIN!!

This boat won the White Marlin Open in the early 2000’s as the "Edge Runner" and immediately went to Viking for a refit.
This is a 1974 41' Viking. She has 2300 original hours on Cummins 6cta 450 8.3 liter motors new in 2002. Fitted with new twin disc gears, shafts, and nibral 4 blade propellers, "Matador" cruises 25 knots at 29 gallons per hour, making this boat one of the fastest, most efficient sport fishing boats in the size class. I recently installed a 6.5kw northern lights gen set. Mechanically she has odyssey batteries new in 2016, drip less shaft seals, new bilge pumps and float switches, oil change system, 325 gallon fuel capacity, fresh water tank, emergency crash pumps, and everything in the engine room is designed for accessibility and ease of maintenance. "Matador" has full furuno navnet electronics including chart plotter, sounder, and radar mounted in a "pop-up" console at the helm. 2 vhf radios in the overhead electronics box. The entire hard top and tower was removed and replaced with an "overbuilt" custom hardtop during the refit in 2002. The helm has single lever controls and custom Gage panels, captain's chair with companions seat. Also has full safety equipment including life jackets, flare kit, epirb, and throw-able. 2 zone a/c, full head with shower, hot water heater, trim tabs, full led lighting, remote search light, spreader lights, cockpit lights, underwater lights, freshwater and saltwater wash down, anchor windlass, huge fishbox, tackle storage, sink, and ice box in mezzanine area, full galley including microwave, nor cold refrigerator/freezer, sink, and Princess stove. The salon has new carpet in 2016, and downstairs has hardwood plank flooring. For fishing she has 35 foot double spreader outriggers, a center rigger, reinforced Rod holders, and plenty of storage for rods and tackle. This boat has too many options and accessories to list, but many are in the photos. When the boat was refit, everything was done the right way. I love this boat, but I will not have a use for it after taking my new job. This boat would make an awesome private boat for the serious fishermen or is a perfect boat for someone to use for Charters. I am only selling the boat, not my charter business. This boat does not come with tackle, my websites, or my numbers. The boat is documented and not state registered. The fighting chair is not pictured but I also have an 80 pound class fighting chair with rocket launcher and standard backrests.
