Overview

THE ONLY FEDERALLY INSPECTED COMMERCIAL VIKING 55' CURRENTLY ON THE MARKET.

 

What does this mean? The boat was built from the factory to a higher specification standard in order to comply with USCG regulations. Several safety, and structural items such as motor mounts, bilge pumps, and fire suppressant systems are accounted for in this process, and are listed within.

If you will be using your yacht privately, these safety features will be appreciated. If you choose to use your yacht commercially, not only is this regulation mandatory, it would allow you to entertain more than six paying guests aboard your boat at once, and allow you to sell your catch commercially.

This is a rare and valuable feature. If you were to take a standard Viking 55', and bring it into compliance, it would cost hundreds of thousands of dollars. Having a federally inspected yacht of this size will minimize your depreciation, and assist you in retaining a higher resale value.

Everything on this boat has been updated. The boat was just relaunched after an extensive refit. A full list of her upgrades and features to come. The current owner has had ownership in the yacht since new, and has operated this boat with an open checkbook. A full time captain has maintained her, and oversees the owners other yachts. All service records are available, and there was a survey completed in early 2018. The boat has never been commercially fished, but the owners have maintained the boat to commercial specifications, and have had her inspected by USCG annually.

Oil has been changed every 100 hours, serviced by Tom Gallagher at Ocean Reef. All scheduled services by MTU. All maintenance logs since new available upon request. New props with prop speed installed 9/2018. Spare props onboard. Bottom painted 8/2018. New fuel and oil transfer pump 8/2018. Twin Cummins Onan 25kw generators 750hrs on port, 950 hours on starboard.

Garmin virtual private network tied to salon television. Pinhole surveillance cameras mounted throughout yacht. New FLIR infrared night vision targeted camera. Remote monitoring system that allows you to view camera feed, along with all info from Garmin's from anywhere in the world when connected to wifi. New CZone electronics monitoring system that allows you to control all systems onboard from anywhere in the world. If a bilge pump kicks on, you get a text message on your phone. Salon television recently installed in salon. New Eskimo ice maker installed 8/2018. New refrigerator installed 8/2018. New isinglass 8/2018. Outriggers serviced and nano-ceramic coated 8/2018. New exterior paint and gelcoat 8/2018. Varnished transom 8/2018. Engine room repainted with awlgrip 8/2018. Bow thruster serviced by Sidepower 8/2018. Waterzink watermaker serviced with new high pressure tubes. New vacupumps and macerators for both heads. Holding tank filter changed 8/2018. Updated Fusion, JBL, Garmin sound system. New Bose surround sound system in salon. Al fish boxes and hardtop have been regelcoated 8/2017. New spotlight. New 4000 and 2000 transducers for electronics. New KVH5 4K HD television satellite dish. Hard wired Meridian Satphone. Deep freezer built into mezzanine. Live baitwell in transom. Two hundred gallon live baitwell in port side deck. All new fresh water pumps and bilge pumps. Twin 1100 watt halogen spreader lights. All engine room ventilation and blowers rebuilt in 4/2018. Upgraded Flowscan fuel monitoring system. Bridge A/C added 9/2018.

Federal Inspection Upgrades...

Commercial inspected by USCG. Upgraded stainless steel throughhull fittings. All bulkheads are water tight. Twelve man liferaft recently repackaged. Upgraded fire suppressant and halo system. All hose clamps are stainless steel bolts instead of screws, reinforced, and redundant. All reinforced holding tanks. Aluminum fuel tanks, as opposed to fiberglass. Bronze engine room components. In addition to being high performance upgraded Mercedes sport engines, these motors are also commercial grade. The engines have been detuned from 1550hp to 1150hp for longevity. By doing this, you also increase fuel efficiency to an astounding 16gph at 33 knots! Three larger than standard fuel tanks accommodate 1550 gallons. All hoses are extended life hoses made from silicone instead of rubber. All of the aforementioned items yield a significant insurance savings.
