Overview
The Yorktown 39 is a classic masthead sloop monohull, designed with an
elongated fin keel, a skeg-hung rudder and a reverse-transom stern. The
design translates to a well-balanced, stable, easily handled boat with
no weather helm that is a proven bluewater sailboat. The rigid hull and
extended keel (one-piece design, no bolts) puts the Yorktown 39 in the
same class as much more expensive bluewater craft. Meandrous is a roomy,
clean, comfortable, dry vessel with central heat/AC and a well-crafted
solid teak interior with plenty of storage.
