ALLMAND

ALLMAND - at the origins of the American yacht market

ALLMAND is a company founded in 1965 that became a pioneer in the field of construction of the fiberglass boats. Over a thousand yachts with the length of 16 - 34 feet and a fiberglass hull are sailing under the ALLMAND brand.

The company's founder, John Allmand, made a major contribution into the development of modern American yacht building, but until 1977, when the company was joined by his brother, Tom, there was no mass production. Shortly after the arrival of Tom Allmand the company became the market leader majoring in the sailing and motor yachts.

Unfortunately, already in 1990 Allmands went out of business, closed the company and sold assets. But the John's enterprise holds on. His son designed the custom boats in South Dade. These vessels are in the middle price bracket and are economically effective to operate. One of the new boats of Allmand was presented at the exhibition in Miami Beach in 1996. It was very successful due to its speed and reliability.

Today the ALLMAND boats can be seen in India, Norway, Panama, Australia, Kenya, Nigeria and many other countries. The company has its customers all over the world, and Allmand produces custom-made boats with with non-standard structure and a unique design.

The company is able to implement any idea. They build both very cheap, small boats with a motor or sail that are in demand in developing countries, and large cruising vessels with the reinforced hulls.
