CATALINA/MORGAN

CATALINA/MORGAN - the largest producer of ships

CATALINA/MORGAN is an American shipyard established in Hollywood (CA) by Frank Butler. Today, the shipyard is producing the boats up to eight feet in length and cruisers. This is one of the most famous shipbuilding brands. The biggest yacht of this company is 47 feet in length.

Many of the ships that have been developed by the CATALINA/MORGAN shipyard are produced up to this day. They have become the timeless classics. The boats are released, because there is a demand for specific models.

The company received its double name, when in 1984 it acquired Morgan Yachts. Prior to that, the shipyard was called Catalina Yachts. Until now, the manufacturer has produced about 60 thousand boats that makes him the largest manufacturer of ships.

Since the late 70s the chief engineer of the company became Jerry Douglas. It was he who designed all the boats that have been released since his appointment. The vessels made by the shipyard, meet all international standards. Particular attention is paid to the boats longer than 30 feet. They must comply with the standard developed by the American Boat and Yacht Council.

The yachts, boats and cruisers, produced by the company can be found at many dealers. Some brokers offer the vessels of the former owners. Among second-hand vessels there are real rarities that are highly valued by collectors.
