FAIRLIE

FAIRLIE - the revival of shipbuilding traditions of the past

FAIRLIE is a British company founded in 1985 in Southampton. It was opened by Albert Obrist, an industrialist from Switzerland.

The history of the shipyard began with the reconstruction of the schooner "Altair". During the one and a half year they restored the ship exactly to the last detail. The result made Obrist and his company famous in the whole world. Later FAIRLIE restored several major historical ships. Some of them participated in the boat shows.

The restored boats are going to sea up to this day. Thanks to the hard work of designers, naval architects and sailors who sailed on the ships restored, the company manages to achieve amazing results.

In recent years, FAIRLIE is producing the new yachts. These are the traditional boats, built using the modern methods of wood processing and a streamlined design. They are made in a classic style.

The FAIRLIE shipyard does not seek to expand, increase sales, produce the superyachts. The company history began with a hobby and a passion for sailing ships. The boats built here, are made with love to the work and without haste. This ensures the flawless quality.
