HELMSMAN

Helmsman is a Swedish company founded in 1973 and specialized in the design and construction of the sailing yachts. The shipyard is located in Stockholm.

The shipyard was established by Arne Linde, HЊkan S?dergr?n and Lothar Kљhler. From the first years of operation, the company has established itself as a successful manufacturer. During 5 years, from 1974 to 1979, it built 200 yachts. Initially HELMSMAN produced the racing sailboats, but later the engineers and designers of the company switched to the elegant and large yachts. Two ranges including the small and elegant sailboats and large cruise ships have determined two principles of the helmsman: "large yacht for small crews" and "eternal, fast and elegant yachts". This company adheres to the principles up to the present day.

The yachts of HELMSMAN elegant, they are perfectly navigated due to the well-considered rigging, they are able to develop an incredible speed. The large boats have luxury finishing and spacious cabins. They are designed for a small number of guests and crew members, but have exactly such dimensions that the entire crew will feel comfortable.

In 1991 the company was sold, but the new owners were not lucky, and the shipyard stood idle for several years. In 2001, it was bought again, and today HELMSMAN may offer its services to the lovers of sailing.
