JFA

JFA - a French manufacturer of catamarans and sailboats

JFA is a French shipyard, established in 1993 by Frederic JAOUEN and Frederic BREUILLY. The company was founded in order to complete the construction of the 22-meter aluminum sloop Kermor. In 1995, JFA has become a place for the reequipment of two large sailing yachts: Amadeus, a 33-meter superyacht based on the drawings of Whither, and Briand, a 30-meter superyacht using the plans of Vaton.

In 1999, the shipyard began the construction of the Magistral schooner. This is the 36-meter yacht that has become very popular. In 2000, the shipyard was fully renewed. They got a new lift and built new buildings next to the marina. The organization has become larger, its production area has increased, too. The updated shipyard built the 37-meter aluminum yacht Axantha, and later - a 25-meter catamaran Sun Tenareze and Bystander, a 42-meter vessel.

In 2010, the shipyard was renewed again. It decided to devote more time to the catamarans made of aluminum. So they installed all the necessary equipment for such works. Today, the manufacturer produces mainly the catamarans. We are talking about the sufficiently large vessels that may even go into the sea. They are safe and credible.

The yachts are also built at the shipyard, but less frequently. Many of the boats under this brand can be bought at the brokers. Mainly the yachts are represented by the used ships. But the catamarans are sold both as second-hand and brand new. The shipyard is working on new catamarans models, trying to make them even more comfortable and fast. A few years ago the shipyard has won the prize for the best motor yacht with the length from 32 to 43 meters.
