PHOENIX

PHOENIX - the revived shipyard

The PHOENIX shipyard builds the ships for enthusiastic boaters and anglers. The company was opened in 1977. It almost immediately earned a reputation as an innovator, because the shipyard began to use modern materials from the first day of work. The first was 29-foot Convertible. In 1994, PHOENIX was closed, because the company was not able to withstand the financial burden. The demand for ships has decreased, when the luxury tax was introduced.

Then Carl Herndon took responsibility for the company. Herndon bought the company and made it a part of his organization. The founder of Blackfin, he worked at the production site at the Bertram shipyard in the 1970s, and later became its president. He survived in the marine industry because he produced the best vessels. His masters are usually conservative in design and construction of the boats. It satisfies the sportsmen and anglers, as well as the cruising yacht lovers.

Under the wing Herndon the company was able to release Phoenix 35 Flybridge Convertible. New boat immediately became a success. Today, the manufacturer is developing an additional series of vessels. The company is operating under the name of Herndon.

The shipyard began to collaborate with the famous designers and architects. Some yachts are designed by Donald Blount. Among the fans of the PHOENIX vessels there is an opinion that the new boats can not be considered as those produced by the old shipyard - Herndon engaged too many new professionals. Nevertheless, many loyal customers continue to refer to the company, ordering the yachts. The shipyard has received a new development under the auspices of Herndon.
