Overview

This beautiful cruising ketch was built for a US Admiral who sadly died one year later. After this she was purchased by the Carghill family, later owners of the Carmac range of motor yachts. FEI SEEN is the epitome of the heavy Philip Rhodes motor-sailor, perfect for comfortable long distance cruising. With her sturdy centreboard she is ideal for many parts of the world inaccessible to deeper draught vessels.

There have been numerous refits over the years with the last major one being in 2003 and has been constantly maintained since. The electric Bowthruster was fitted in 1999. In 2002/3 new Generators, a new electrical panel, all new pumps (3 phase) & new batteries were fitted. The last 5 year survey was in 2013 & the 1 inch thick steel plates are regularly checked.

FEI SEEN is built of the finest materials by the renowned German shipyard Abeking & Rasmussen, and consequently suffers little from some of the problems usually associated with steel hulled vessels of her generation. The teak decks and hull are massively constructed, as are the entrance hatches to the engine room, making

FEI SEEN a safe and comfortable vessel for long distance cruising in all waters. Her general layout above and below decks is suitable both for exterior living in the warmer areas of the world, and for an interior lifestyle for prolonged periods in colder ones.
