Basic Description

Want to own a piece of yachting history? “Last One” is a true classic in every sense of the word. This 1962 steel- hulled Benetti was one of the most prestigious yachts in her day; the first “megayachts” of its time. Formerly “Fantastique”, she has a rich history of carrying charters from the French Rivera to Italy and Africa. Her travels also include crossing the Atlantic on her own bottom. She was refitted in 1990, and again in 2012 with continuous upgrades and yearly maintenance.

Present owner purchased vessel in 2014 (see pictures labeled 2014) and wanted to restore her to her original previous glory, and update her with modern mechanical and machinery systems, while keeping her classic esthetics. Unfortunately, new owner had some major health issues and had to abandon the project in 2017.        At the time the project was put on hold she was just about ready to be put back in the water and the rest of the work was to continue dockside at a slip. “Last One “presently sits on the hard.

Before present owner fell ill, he had spent in excess of $500K, concentrating on her hull, running gear, and electrical conversion. Owner made sure all systems were taken care of. Fuel was pumped out of all tanks and tanks were treated. Main engines were “pickled” and rust mitigation was performed so somebody could take over project.

You will find the woodwork and craftsmanship on this vessel amazing. Before the retrofit commenced, she possessed an industry galley, a large aft dinning space and a full teak bar. She also offers accommodations for nine guests and five crew members. This is the perfect vessel for entertaining or charters. If you have the motivation to finish a project and want to own a true classic and piece of history “Last One” is the yacht to see!

See Complete listing for Details. There is a complete set of logbooks and records available for inspection.
