WALK THROUGH
DEFIANT is a very well kept example of this popular and classic Californian sundeck cockpit motoryacht design. Spacious, practical, economical, with excellent seaworthiness have made Californians in demand among savvy buyers on the re-sale market for many years.
The boat features a split multi-level floor plan that offers space, privacy, and very comfortable living and dining accommodations rolled into an attractive and well-crafted yacht design that remains as good looking and practical today as it was when it was originally introduced.
Commencing all the way aft, the transom mounted swim platform and generous cockpit area provides a wonderful space for staging all sorts of water related activities from swimming to snorkeling and diving to fishing and barbequing. An entrance on the port side of the cockpit allows for easy access into and out of the aft master cabin and a wide rung ladder on the starboard side leads up to the aft sundeck area featuring all weather outdoor white wicker furniture and a teak large cabinet and counter top for servicing the outside areas. Forward to port and up three steps is the large flybridge with the command helm area featuring the captain’s chair and companion seat, L-shaped lounge behind and to starboard, and of course, a complete package of navigational electronics. Mounted on the aft deck hard top is a dinghy and davit crane.
From the aft deck moving forward and down three stairs, we enter the bright and airy interior salon . To starboard is a large L shaped settee with an upholstered club chair and ottoman opposite top port. Light fabrics and carpet are set against the rich teak paneling and cabinetry. Large sliding windows all around allow for great vistas and natural cross ventilation.
Continuing forward and down three steps is the generous and fully appointed galley to port and the opposing U-shaped dinette to starboard that converts to a sleeping area for overflow guests. All the way forward is the guest cabin and accompanying head with separate shower. The guest quarters include a centerline double berth, and generous hanging locker and drawer space.
Convenient access to the engine and machinery spaces is located under the forward stairs to the salon between the galley and dinette.
Finally, all the way aft from the salon is the full beam master stateroom with its centerline queen berth, hanging lockers, ample drawer space, full private head with separate shower, and aft door access directly to and from the cockpit.
