Overview
The Catalina 27 is an American classic. First launched in 1971, more than 6,600 boats were built during a 20-year production run, making it possibly the best-selling 27-footer of all time.
The owner of Hideaway has meticulously maintained and upgraded this vessel. It may be a 1987 year model, but it looks like a much newer vessel.
Some of the upgrades include the following:
- A new mainsail
- A new 130 headsail
- Updated standing rigging
- Decks refinished and vessel painted from the rub rail up
- Bottom barrier coated and painted (kept on a lift since being painted)
- Additional bimini over helm station
- All engine and scupper hoses replaced
- New batteries (one replaced 11/17 and one 3/18)
Maintenance includes frequent oil, filter changes and fuel polishing.
