Remarks

The SMY is the product of a twenty-year refinement process between Cheoy Lee & naval architect Tom Fexas. The beautifully sculptured interior, created by Savio Designs rounds off this team effort. The resulting state of the art design exhibits the smoothest riding hull, meticulously executed machinery, and elegant, first class interior. The interior cabinetry of sapelle pomelli with burlwood accent wood. Fuel efficient low drag hull provides an excellent range and cruising speed. A/C plenum vents, for the air handling systems allows for an even temperature through out each compartment.

Along the flooring of the salon, down the stairways and at the base of the berths is 24 volt DC emergency lighting system which is automatic at loss of AC power, to ensure safety in the event of a power failure. The interior is done in sappelle pomelli with burl wood and black imron accents. The color tones through out are warm beiges and rich burgundy fabrics. The counter tops in the galley are covered with Corian. The electronics layout in pilothouse is CAD CAM designed for ergonomic efficiency with state of the art electronics. There is a double leather bench seat with autopilot in the armrest and chart drawers below. The headliner through out the boat installed with removable panels in the way of areas requiring regular service. A PBX telephone intercom system is located in all areas of the boat as well as the engine room.

In April 2011 she had a paint job including bottom paint.  The engine room was also upgraded with a new exhaust system, fuel lines, etc.  She is ready to go!

Broker Remarks

D-VERSION is a great example of a classic Fexas design. She has a very fine forefoot entry combined with a very flared bow provides for a very dry ride. She gets on plane between 14 and 15 knots. From idle speed to a top speed of 24 knots, the bow will rise only 12 degrees. D-VERSION has 81' in length but has a 21' beam. Even with her generous side decks, she has a very spacious salon. She has five staterooms each with an ensuite bath. Her fuel and water tanks are integral FBG framing. The hull is cored with  divinycell and the entire structure is completely tied together. She is incredibly strong. She cruises at 20 knots and tops out at 24 knots.

D-VERSION had a $300,000 mechanical refit at Cable Marine which also included paint and a new exhaust system. She is for sale and ready to go with less than 1500 hours.
